Close proximity to all attractions and the food.
Single room was very small with an even smaller en suite but as I was only there for a couple of nights did me for the purpose of sleeping! My family joined me later and I must say that their rooms were of greater comfort.
The food was excellent and the entertainment good
Woke up covered in bites. Heating on all night and the heat was over powering. Carpet in room was filthy.
enjoyed tthe food and the location
rooms need some re decorating
good value for money, good location for shops and bars, nice bar and restaurant area
room could have done with re decorating and the bathroom was abit dirty but ok for 1 night.
We arrived early and were able to check in straight away
Our room had dirty cups, no phone, the window would not stay shut so very cold, we were brought our full breakfast before we had eaten our cereal/fruit so it went cold.
The view. Had a sea view
looked too old and dated. Could do with a complete revamp. The bathroom so small, if you close the door you cannot use the wash basin
Confusion wether to pay at beginning or end of hotel stay- thought deposit was standard but never expected to pay full amount before stay on arrival. V upset with that. Not clear over internet
The television in our room did not work-it took more then 24hrs for some one to come and take a look at it. The room was hideous, old fashioned. The staff were not very professional. There was no space for us to park when we arrived-web-site says parking on site is available. We were told we could not eat in the restaurant on day of arrival.Found a bug in our salad from the hotel restaurant, when we told the waitress, she just laughed.
The staff were (mostly) very helpful and welcoming despite having some disruption of carpet laying. The food was good and the rooms clean with plenty of towels, tea, coffee etc.
There was one staff member who was very rude and arrogant. | reported his behaviour to the receptionist on our departure. The incident was at breakfast when he refused to serve people - dispite their coming into the dining room before 10am. He also was rude to a young couple dining one evening - telling them to buy a bottle of wine at the bar when there was a wine list on the table. I took issue with the man concerned but he remained unswerved in his arrogance. If it were his business I doubt if he would retain any custom.
