Parklands Hotel & Country Club

Suite was an amazing size and perfect for our stay. Spa was amazing just disappointed about the reduced hours on our first day so we could not use.

On the booking it was classed as a large double bed, but it was actually two singles pushed together with a mattress topper! After speaking to the staff we were told the reasons of why it is but I believe customers should be told as this was quite a negative point of our stay. The restaurant!! The reduced menu due to Xmas time wasn’t very appealing! Opted for margarita pizza and was majorly disappointed in the quality and price (£11ish). Breakfast was included in our stay but we only went one morning. Should have more of a varied menu. We were able to select certain items off the menu but portion size was not great. After only selecting two items (scrambled eggs and potato scones) off the menu and seeing the portion compared to the full english breakfast available it was very disappointing.

Bed very comfortable, room spacious and clean

Pillows were very uncomfortable, food very average and our room was cold, complained on first night and were offered blankets

Bathroom and room was excellent

Spent nearly £200 on room and in bar, then couldn’t get food to the room so ordered it, when order came I was asked to eat it in my car as it wasn’t aloud in the hotel! Thought that was outrageous and if I hadn’t been drinking I would have left the hotel! No compromise from staff basically eat it outside or not at all... disgraceful
