Mercure Paris Gobelins Place D'italie

We were really surprised that we got quality accommodation for the price we payed. The photos shown on the website are showing the reality. We liked the design of the hotel and should we arrived 2 weeks ealier we'd definitely tried out the breakfast on the terrace - it looked really great. We liked the cleanliness of the hotel and also the location - lots of buses, metro, restaurants, bistros. The bakery just around the corner is amazing and stays open until 8:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

Our bed was huge, but it wasn't very comfortable.

Rooms were modern and clean. Excellent bed. Excellent bathroom. Out side noise was non exsistent .

Had some problems during check in as the room was not ready at 13.00 but around 15.00. There was also a problem with the curtains that were removed for the dry cleaners are were back later then expected.( They said 18.00 but it was around 20.00). Wifi through Orange was not free and expensive. Paid 10€ for three hours. Total value of the reservation was immediately charged on the day of entrance to the credit card used for reservation purpose/cancelation, without my knowledge. Maybe it's in their policy but they should only bill me when I depart. Maybe I wanted to pay in cash.

Very comfortable, good place to stay. Nice night city view.
