Bed & Breakfast La Casa DI Plinio

The breakfast is good, more than what we could eat. The room is sized comfortably for 2 adults and is clean.

1. This B&B is located on a narrow, busy 2-way traffic street with no shoulder at all, which maybe normal for Italians. There is a gate with a ring that you need to press upon arrival. No instructions were given to us regarding where to park temporarily before locating the gate and before pressing the ring. We had to drive further, made a left turn onto another road and made a call to the owner. In order for us to back up and drive into the gate to park, there were already multiple cars both ways, which made the situation dangerous and chaotic. The reception guy did come out and help us maneuver so we were able to get in safely. 2. Later in the night, we came back from the ruins and found out the room was freezing cold because the ac was not working. The same guy came over, checked it out and said he did not know. He said the ac unit is broken and it is too late to call for help. He offered no solution. But I know it was going to be a cold night (37 F lowest) in Pompeii. I asked if there is any other room we could change to. He said no. I asked if there are any other portable heaters we can use as I noticed one on the floor. He said yes and brought two additionals into our room. 3. I was not too happy about the way we were treated so I called the contact number on my booking and talked to Martina, who was very kind and offered to drive over right away to look into the situation. When she arrived, she made a few calls to the tech but they won’t be able to come until the next morning. Martina then offered us 2 other room choices for change but I decided not to because one room is not cleaned yet, another room is too small with a single bed. It is also because I could see Martina was sincerely trying her best to make us happy. Martina offered us another blanket before she left, so we ended up staying for the night with 3 portable heaters on and 2 blankets. 4. The aroma of the bath gel and hand soap provided is totally not my thing.
