The apartment was incredible! Located in the heart of Colmar, but being hidden away in a courtyard off the street made it extremely quiet, peaceful and private. Fabulous conversion of a centuries-old building to provide all the modern amenities including a full kitchen and wide screen HD TV and luxurious bedroom suite.

Nothing to be done about it, but accessing the place by car was a bit of a challenge with the narrow, one way streets. Finding parking was also a challenge, even though there was quite a bit of paid parking not too far away which was, however, heavily used. Accessing the apartment required climbing a flight of steep stairs and the bedroom was another flight up- added to the privacy and romance, but would have been challenging for folks with mobility issues. The surrounding area is the heart of tourist Colmar- crowds in the area would perhaps be oppressive in high season and during the Christmas market.

Met us on time. Great communications. Allowed time for questions. The place is in a perfect location. The facilities and artistic appointments are top notch. Not so arty as to make it not cozy. But very, very classy with wonderful linens and as clean as you could ever want. We’ll stay again if we can find a time that Colmar has fewer tourists. Even with the hordes of people (we didn’t know about the German Unification holiday), it was a friendly and beautiful town.

The stairs are to be expected at a BnB on an historic building. But you can’t LIKE them. Beautiful bedroom and bathroom upstairs from the main living area is an issue we could live with. But it should be understood going in. Understand. But don’t let it detract from a positive decision on staying here. We really didn’t want to leave.

Great location. Luxuriously appointed.. overshadowed by noise from above. The owners should soundproof! We were disturbed 2 mornings of 3 by footsteps and conversations. Really was an issue.
