Ventajas: Staff, Art, Location, Breakfast. It is hard to not smile when you walk around the hotel. It is a destination.

Desventajas: With such a great location come a little more noise than some would like. We were aware of this and were not annoyed by it. It is not overwhelming or a distraction. However, you will know that you are on a major street in a major international city.

Ventajas: The hotel is a real gem in the historical centre of Cape Town with a beautiful central courtyard where breakfast is served under the oldest productive grape vine in the southern hemisphere! The staff are very freindly and made me feel welcome.

Desventajas: Nothing to report in this category.

Ventajas: The staff were amazing! So helpful and kind and made us feel very welcome. The rooms were stunning and the hotel is very well located in cape town particularly for food. The breakfast is great and the hotel has a very charming boutique feel to it.

Desventajas: The only issue we had was that the windows didn't block out some of the noise from the street but that was our only negative. Everything else was perfect.

Ventajas: Everything was just perfect. Central location (walkable to key tourists spots), super-friendly and helpful staff, beautifully decorated and comfortable room, good value/price, and excellent breakfast. I couldn't have asked for more!

Ventajas: Great location near lots within walking distance of many good restaurants and tourist sites. Super-friendly staff. Large room with gigantic bathroom, great toiletries and robe, and excellent wifi. Great breakfast that includes not just continental items but a la carte items that are included in the daily rate.

Desventajas: On a Sunday evening the neighborhood was a bit deserted and I encountered some homeless people around but this is not so different from other cities I've visited.

Ventajas: This is a beautifully restored hotel in a great location for exploring Cape Town. The room was a good size with a comfy bed and large bathroom. Breakfast in the hotel was really good with a choice of cooked items and continental buffet which could be enjoyed outside under South Africa's oldest grapevine. The staff were friendly and accommodating and looked after us very well during our stay. The hotel is good value and if we returned to Cape Town we would definitely stay here again.

Ventajas: We loved everything! First, the hotel itself and more specifically the room we got looked even better than the pictures. The staff was incredibly nice and attentive, and the guided tours we went on with Ismael were just perfect.

Desventajas: Nothing. It was one of the best hotels we’ve ever been to.

Ventajas: A very luxurious hotel / villa with an amazing breakfast, one of the best I had so far. It's location is perfect, not too far away from the center and therefore quiet. close to supermarkets, bars, restaurants and cafés and the cape town stadium as well as waterkant, all reachable by feet. the room was very nice with a cosy bed and flooded with natural light.

Desventajas: nothing - all fine

Ventajas: Staff really worked at making sure I felt comfortable. Great location. Walk to the stadium or waterfront in under 15 minutes. Safe neighborhood. Lots of food choices. They even provide a place to shower after checking out if your plane leaves late. Great breakfast.

Ventajas: The people who worked there and the decor was amazing.

Ventajas: Beautifully decorated and furnished hotel, with really wonderful, friendly staff. Breakfast was great, a good mixture of buffet and menu options. The menu options were especially tasty. Really liked the lounge and pool/outdoor areas, with bar and tea/coffee facilities. Location was quite central, but we wouldn't recommend walking at night to/from the hotel (in a taxi/Uber would be fine). Rooms and whole hotel were spotlessly clean.

Desventajas: Our room was really small, so maybe don't go for the cheapest option like we did! It would be okay for one person, but for two of us it was really tight. If we'd been there any longer than 2 nights it would have got uncomfortable.

Ventajas: POD Camps Bay is one of the places to stay in Cape Town resp. in Camps Bay: + Room, staff and breakfast have been awesome! + Room - very spacious, elegantly designed - I loved the open bathroom and the two showers. + Staff - friendly, helpful, knowledgeable where to go and what to do! + Food - delicious breakfast with lots of options, very good coffee, cheese platter in the evening etc. + Location - centrally located in Camps Bay with a great view (from the terrace or the room)

Ventajas: I loved the location of the property! It's just off a major & often busy street but so close to the beach! I loved the staff! ALWAYS helpful, available & quick to respond to any & every need, within their power. I loved the aesthetics of the entire hotel! It was hard to leave but I WILL be back & will recommend this beautiful property to anyone who will listen! Thank you POD for helping to make the last days of my 6 week dream trip to Africa a trip of a lifetime!

Ventajas: The welcome on arrival made you feel totally comfortable and at ease. Nothing too much trouble but without feeling that someone was standing over your shoulder the whole time. Facilities were good and location perfect for Camp Bay’s restaurants etc. Felt safe the whole time we were there so no problem walking back to hotel after night out in Bay. Also great location from which to explore Cape Town.

Desventajas: Pool was quite small and there’s no restaurant if you wanted to stay in to eat. Having said that there are lots of restaurants nearby anyway so no big deal.

Ventajas: Nick and the team made us feel really special with an upgrade and drinks. They helped us book the best local hotel for a tasting menu and we had a really lovely last night of our holiday! We left our passports there and they kindly hrlp d with an emergency run to the airport so they could deliver them to us!

Ventajas: Un hotel precioso, zona de piscina, spa. El buffet de desayuno es excelente. El personal es increíblemente servicial y atractivo. Hay mucho aparcamiento y las instalaciones están limpias y de moda. Las habitaciones son perfectas, incluyendo un ordenador en la habitación.

Desventajas: No es muy negativo, ya que este lugar es genial, pero la piscina se llena demasiado con los locales comprando pases de un día y la interminable casa profunda mezcla de boom de los oradores obtener un poco de insinuación después de 4 o 5 días.

Ventajas: You will be amazed at the service from check-in all the way to departure. The staff could not assist you enough. Everyone was pleasant and engaging -thank you Mark for your EXCELLENT staff. The breakfast was included and had many options. They even have lunch/dinner at the hotel. The dinner was also excellent -ate there 5 of the 7 nights (try their steak!). The pool area was clean with beautifully cushioned lounge chairs/towels/umbrellas. And staff was always available to meet your needs (cocktails, snacks, towels, umbrellas, day trip planning). The Glen also has an amazing SPA -thank you team for making my vacation not only memorable but absolutely unforgettable! I travel a lot and to many places. It was worth the 19 hours from home to visit the Glen. You will be delighted! I hope you enjoy as well. Happy Traveling!

Ventajas: + It is a boutique hotel with a couple of rooms that delivers a pleasant, intimate and accommodative feeling! + Staff is friendly, helpful and attentive: Bliss' hospitality is outstanding! + Modern, nicely furnished rooms - loved the walk in shower! + Nearby beaches (actually approx. 50 meters in front of the hotel) and having long beach walks haven been excellent (be aware: sun protection is important). + I liked their breakfast, healthy dinner options and wine offers. + In-room Locker is big enough to lock up all your personal belongings like passport, notebook, tablet...

Desventajas: + Size of the bed was a bit too short. + It takes some time to reach Cape Town CBD; also in the evening when returning to the hotel you have to expect delays due to heavy outbound traffic.

Ventajas: Absolutely loved the location, 2 min walk from our room to the beautiful sunset beach. It’s a very quite long beach, we jogged on it every morning. The room was beautiful and spacious with all 5 star amenities including a sound system. The staff were top class, every single one of these people provides ultimate 5 star service, and we were made to feel at home. I had a bad tummy when we arrived and the entire team took such good care of me, the chef came to the door herself with a ginger, chilli etc house blended shot plus extra home remedies to cure me. And it worked:) the owners of this hotel have something here to be super proud of because it the people and Service that make this property one to recommend. Obviously the views from the roof top and the food were excellent too:)we will highly recommend it:)

Ventajas: Bliss Hotel met all our expectations. On arrival, we got a warm welcome. During our 4 day stay, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The entire staff is certainly a strenght for this boutique hotel. Food was also very good especially at breakfast. The room was very clean, large enough and well equipped. Bathroom and shower very good. The whole building is well maintained, right on the beach where you can walk hours (Table Bay) and close enough to downtown Capetown. Private parking. Secure area. Great view on Table Montain. We would certainly return.

The area near the hotel is save ,the dunes and beach are great for jogging in the morning,

Desventajas: Wifi reception in my room ( #105) wasn't the fastest one I hoped for, good alternative would be to go to the reastaurant where the signal is way much better. other then that no complaints what so ever.

Desventajas: Whether a one off or not, I had really bad experience of having to kill multiple cockroaches in my room the first night of my stay. Making staff aware the next morning, although friendly, I returned to my room late after a day of work and ready for bed, to be met with another couple of cockroaches scurrying from under the bathroom bin. Second of four nights stay. The next morning I informed the guest relations manager, who was very smiley and apologised (questionable sincerity) to be asked ‘were they big’ to which my response was ‘that’s missing the point’. I was moved so I guess all good, but 2 poor nights sleep, zero action for a whole day shows poor guest service. I’d rather there would have been less smiles and more to rectify the issue immediately, which may have made my 4 night stay more pleasant. It’s a real shame as the property is stunning, staff are friendly and I had such high hopes the first day, sadly my view changed and I will not be returning.

Desventajas: Nothing only that the lovely labrador "Harvey' looked very similar to our dog so we missed her even more.

Ventajas: Everything absolutely exceeded expectations! The staff is incredibly nice, the breakfast is truly amazing (buffet and a la carte menu), the interior looks like straight from a design magazine is full of thought through details (plus little treats available anywhere, including a Gin and Whisky Bar). The rooms are super quiet and have all the amenities you can think of (and more). Also the beds are really comfy. There is a small gym if you feel like working out between all the delicious food. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Ventajas: Es un hotel con encanto, en una zona singular de Ciudad del Cabo y con buena restauración. Lo más destacable es la ubicación del desayuno.

Desventajas: Nuestra habitación estaba muy por debajo del estándar de un 5 estellas Relais&Chateau. El sistema de climatización ruidoso, que impide el descanso nocturno. Desconozco si es así en todas las habitaciones. Otra sorpresa desagradable fue la experiencia (mala) en su afamado restaurante Greenhouse. La cocina estaba aceptable, sin ser nada excepcional, pero el ambiente fue extremadamente ruidoso y, además, las mesas están muy juntas. Un restaurante de esa supuesta categoría ( entre los 10 mejores de Sudáfrica) no puede ofrecer una experiencia gastronómica superior en esa sala y con ese ambiente. La experiencia no vale el precio pagado.

Ventajas: Beautiful property with an excellent restaurant and lovely gardens and nice warm pools. Nice functional bathroom and comfortable bed.

Desventajas: Bed was rather small considering the opulent property and our room had no easy chairs so watching TV was impossible although the number of channels was small as was the TV itself.

Ventajas: The grounds and building is more than 100 years old, recently refurbished. The room had all the modern amnesties. It had 6 USB connections in the room - you’ll never need to worry about charging all your devices. We got a free bottle of Merlot, and free mini bar. When you book, make sure you have breakfast included, cos you can eat from BOTH the buffet spread (which, is excellent) and the ala carte menu as well. Stayed there for 4D/3N, managed to book lunch at The Greenhouse - an excellent experience. Dinner one night at The Conservatory - another excellent experience. The gardens are so well tended, it’s breathtaking. Every single staff was happy and genuine and went out of their way to please. Special shout out to Adam Herbert, Guests Relations Manager. He just ‘knew’ instinctively what to recommend, without asking too many questions. His sensitivity, practical suggestions and sound advices made the trip 1000% more enjoyable. Followed his advice to ‘try our luck’ and go early to buy tickets for Robben Island Tour - it worked! I highly, highly recommend The Cellars-Hohenort to anyone visiting Cape Town.
