Ross and Becca are first class hosts offering a very warm welcome and attentive hospitality. Our room was exactly as advertised, well appointed clean and very comfortable with a high standard of decoration and homely finishing touches. Their local knowledge is extensive and they were very helpful in providing information and pointing us in the right directions.
Can't fault it as a place to use for a short break holiday

The house is stunning and packed with original features, and our room shared the same characteristics. The owners are very welcoming and interactive but offer a perfect level of privacy and independence. The breakfast was fresh, delicious and plentiful. I would highly recommend.
I have nothing negative to say about my stay. It was wonderful!

We were touched by the passion, kindness and the hospitality from Rebecca and Ross. They give you a warm welcome in their beautiful house. It is also a perfect place to start explore the Exmoor NP.

“Catwell House is the perfect base to explore beatiful Exmoor, with convenient car access to some of the most popular spots (e.g. Dunster Castle, Dunkery Beacon, Tarr Steps, North Hill). Hosts Ross and Becca looked after us in all possible aspects, we really felt welcome and pampered. They are knowledgable about the area and happy to share local tips to get the most out of your visit. Make sure to stay for dinner and enjoy the wonderful food that they lovingly prepare (book one day in advance)! All precautions due to the COVID-19 restriction werestrictly observed, and there was no time when following guidelines was a burned thanks to the ample spaces. The property is a big country house, rich in original features (e.g. oak beams and carved mantelpieces) with the rooms sharing a drawing room with log fire and a common dining area. Our room was truly huge, easily exceeding the size of our entire London apartment! It boasted views on the surrounding countryside (complete with grazing sheep), and and equally huge ensuite bathroom. We greatly enjoyed our stay, the perfect way to escape the crowds and breathe some fresh air.”

“The breakfast options listed were very wide and varied; it would be difficult, I think, to find a guest who would not be satisfied with the many combinations on offer. Additionally, Beca and Ross were very accommodating on the timings of breakfast. During COVID restrictions, Beca provided the option for weekday evening meals with a complementary glass of Riocha- this was very thoughtful and welcome.”
