Ventajas: Breakfast was great and the staff was friendly. the Location of the Hotel was also great. it is close to the airport and off the main road. This made it nice and quiet.

Desventajas: Wi-Fi speed was up and down as more people arrived. As I was there for business, I required to check emails and send out info. this made it a bit of a challenge

Ventajas: Todo! Increíble! Personal muy atento, habitaciones impecables, comida deliciosa y a buen precio... Pedimos que nos vinieran a buscar a la estación de bus y el conductor nos esperó durante casi 2h porque llegamos con retraso, así que genial todo. Hotel perfecto para estar cerca del aeropuerto si no quieres estar dentro del caos de la ciudad.

Ventajas: Room very clean and comfortable. It's good if you want to stay close to airport, they offer a free shuttle. Good breakfast, nice staff.

Desventajas: I found dinner and overall place a bit overpriced considering it's in the middle of nothing. I wouldn't stay here if I didn't need to be close to the airport.

Ventajas: Habitación súper limpia y espaciosa con buenos detalles. El perdona súper atento y servicial y la comida del restaurante muy buena y barata. Por la mañana salimos muy temprano al aeropuerto y teníamos prestado el desayuno para llevar. Volvería sin duda si tuviera que coger un hotel cercano al aeropuerto.

Desventajas: Sufrimos para ajustar la mosquitera al tamaño de la cama. No se ve desde la calle hay que subir unas escaleras desde un mercado.

Ventajas: Very nice place to stay if you have a short stay in Tana. Staff is very nice and attentive. They ordered us a pizza in the evening, when we didn't have the energy to out to eat in a restaurant.

Ventajas: buena ubicación en el centro de Tana. Un lugar muy agradable para una estancia de un par de días.

Ventajas: Mandrosa is a superior B&B and a true oasis located in the heart of chaotic Antananarivo. The rooms are simple, but clean and comfortable with good WiFi. The hotel has a clean infinity pool located in the middle of well-tended and shaded gardens and lawns and a relaxed social area with couches and a TV. The restaurant is decent and the staff is excellent. I enjoyed my stay at Mandrosa and would definitely return.

Ventajas: This place was wonderful! Located in the city center you can easily walk to every location there. The house is a beautiful villa with a lovely garden and very nicely decorated. The staff is very friendly and assist you with organization of tours, food, etc. Absolutely fabulous!

Ventajas: Very homely. Lovely pool and outside area. The rooms are large. The lady who runs it is wonderful. Friendly and helpful. We stayed here at the beginning and end of our trip and were not disappointed.

Ventajas: Nos gestionaron la contratación de un taxi desde el aeropuerto hasta el hotel y nos estaban esperando nada más llegar al aeropuerto por tan solo 50000 ariaris (unos 12 euros). Al llegar al hotel nos estaban esperando y todo estaba listo para que nos relajásemos tras un viaje de 22 horas. Un lugar bonito, agradable y con un desayuno generoso listo por la mañana a la hora que tú quieras. El personal es muy atento y te echan una mano en todo lo que les pides. Un sitio recomendable.

Desventajas: Para acceder a la entrada del hotel hay unas escaleras con bastante pendiente (tampoco una locura, vamos), si bien en nuestro caso nos estaba esperando el personal del hotel cuando llegamos para coger todo nuestro equipaje y así quitarnos ese camino cargados después del viaje.

Ventajas: The food was amazing, the rooms very lovely, beautiful grounds and building, staff incredibly kind and helpful! Would absolutely stay again.

Desventajas: Very central, so it can be a bit noisy at night, even despite the little garden surrounding the house.

Desventajas: Staff was not able to answer to most of the questions and didn t care about taxis they called for us (no double checking the price for example)

Ventajas: Beautiful property and decor, very friendly and helpful staff, amazing restaurant (we ate there four nights out of four!), great WiFi, very nice and very clean rooms, delicious breakfast, easily walkable to the cute hills of Tana and tourist sights. An absolute gem and the perfect place to reboot after a week of touring through the countryside. Highly recommend!

Desventajas: The hotel do not accept credit card prepayment- the agent had to set up a bank transfer but the bank details were incorrect twice which delayed the process. Need a better payment system

Ventajas: We stayed here en route from the north of Madagascar to the south. It is a treasure. The rooms are excellent. The yard is full of classic cars the hotel public areas full of old lamps, clocks, brass things, memorabilia, phone switchboards old street signs.The bar has loads of very good single malts. The dinner we had was the best of our holiday by far. Paris standard. The only thing we didn't like was the party of 25 russians singing maudlin songs next door.

Ventajas: It was low key, clean, safe and pleasant. Parfait was incredibly helpful and friendly. He picked us up at a ridiculous hour of the night and was up in the am to help us to a simple breakfast of coffee and croissants.

Ventajas: Perfect stay for those that need to be near the airport. The property is very clean, room is comfortable a the food was good too. We appreciate the transport to the airport at very early morning.

Ventajas: AvaAda lodge is a simple very clean little hotel near the airport. We booked for the pool for our last day and convenience to the airport to go home . It did not disappoint. It was extremely well equipped for a small hotel and the first hotel we stayed in with kettle and tea in the room and a hairdryer. It had great air con and reading light. We did not need the mosquito net. We arrived about 6 from nosy be to be met at the airport by a really nice friendly guy who on arrival at the hotel provided us with a bottle of water while we chose our dinner from a menu. He then freshly cooked a meal for us which was excellent. There was a fully stocked bar and he played us Malagasy music while we ate. We had hoped to stay the next night for a midnight departure but the hotel was fully booked so we had to move elsewhere. However, the hotel kept our luggage while we went to tana. The owner arranged our taxi and then allowed us to use the pool all afternoon when we returned. He even took us to our new hotel free of charge. I cannot praise the hotel or the owner enough. Great customer service.

Desventajas: Was there for one night only and needed to do some online work. I booked this place for the pool and the, what I've heard ,good wifi. The wifi was not working and bad reception for the mobile as well. Also 4 turkeys in the garden that woke me up in the morning.

Ventajas: La atención del dueño, que nos vino a recoger y nos preparó algo de cenar aunque era tardísimo. Está muy cerca del aeropuerto y el desayuno está incluido. Además está muy limpio.

Desventajas: Aunque es muy práctico porque está muy cerca del aeropuerto, no hay nada en los alrededores para poder visitar.

Ventajas: nice big room, large bathroom. candy at the coffeemaker in the room. the house looks also nice. there's a pousse-pousse in the garden!

Desventajas: very noisy environment. birds on the roof sounded like elephants on the roof, so we did't catch much sleep! the breakfast was the worst in 21 days travelling around Madagascar, although it was promising… with extra's as yoghourt, choco etc. ==> But the jars were dirty and sticky, the bread was defrozen and still ice cold inside! not acceptable in the capital, since we almost got good bread, whereever we went!

Ventajas: During our 23-days trip in Madagascar, we stayed 3 nights in Meva Guesthouse, when we were travelling from one place to another. It felt a bit like coming home every time. The rooms were perfect and the staff was very friendly.

Ventajas: Tras un viaje bastante largo de vuelta a Tana y un día antes de salir de vuelta a España, es un lugar muy cercano al aeropuerto y está todo bastante cuidado. El sitio es agradable y el trato que tuvimos con el personal fue muy correcto, por lo que en ese sentido es un lugar recomendable.

Desventajas: Se encuentra en las afueras de la ciudad y llegar es una odisea, tienes que entrar por una calle estrechísima con miles de personas y está bastante aislado. Nosotros queríamos cenar allí, pero nos dijeron al llegar (sería las 18:15 o así) que ya era tarde para avisar que queríamos cenar, que había que decirlo por la mañana. Podían indicarlo en la reserva o algo. Es cierto que nos ofrecieron la posibilidad de pedir unas pizzas en un lugar cercano, pero no es una opción que nos atrajese mucho, la verdad.

Ventajas: You feel at home, from the first moment you arrive. Very close to the airport, no hassle.

Desventajas: Nothing, perfect

Ventajas: All the basics are well And truely delivered by in addition - can cook in the super clean kitchen; the oasis environment and the kind and helpful attitude of the place.

Desventajas: Would have liked fly wire on the windows so could leave open. The other matter is not specific to Meva althiugh it’s location gives little choice - 10€ for a 10/15 min trip to the airport is excessive. A pick up can involve a lot of waiting around so 10€ ok. But a drop off?

Ventajas: Peaceful, well appointed, comfortable and very friendly staff. Also only 15 minutes from the airport. A wonderful way to end a Madagascar holiday.

Desventajas: A bit difficult to get to but worth the effort.

Ventajas: The Green Palace is an excellent place to relax before or after your flight. They have a beautiful garden and wonderful staff. My room was clean and comfortable. I enjoyed it so much that I booked this room again before returning home. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay and the services offered. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Desventajas: Initially there was no water pressure in my bathroom so I couldn't take a shower. However this was resolved with a simple request of the front desk. They were very helpful!

Ventajas: The Green Palace is a really great place to stay in Tana either to be near the airport or to visit the town. It is essentially a boutique hotel with a beautiful garden and terrace and a good restaurant. The rooms are big and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed here because the hotel in Ivato we normally stay at was fully booked, but in the future will be staying here.

Desventajas: Not much. The annexe rooms could do with air con rather than a fan. Other than that no complaints.

Ventajas: The suites are spacious , well equipped, well maintained and very clean as well. Staff is welcoming, always smiling and willing to help in any situation. The location is excellent and a large choice of restaurants is available within walking distance. Even if you don't want to go in a raining evening to have dinner outside, the hotel proposes to collect your ordered food , place them in the appropriate plates and serve it to your room. Amazing service. Breakfast is excellent, fresh tropical fruit juices , eggs cooked according to your taste and cold cuts and pastries to name among a few. Wi-Fi is good. Mini bar is available and very reasonably priced with a large fridge. A kitchenette is also available in the suite. The hotel also proposes a snacking service including pizzas, sandwiches etc... till 18.00. I would highly recommend Hotel Lavillette which according to me is the best you can have in Antananarivo. I will definitely come back. Thank you to all the staff of this hotel.

Ventajas: Las habitaciones eran muy amplias y cómodas, incluso la triple. Es para destacar la atención por parte del personal del hotel. Llegamos muy tarde debido a una cancelación del vuelo y nos improvisaron unos omelettes con pan calentito que estaban riquísimos.

Desventajas: Solo estuvimos una noche, debido a una escala, con lo cual no tengo nada para criticar.

Desventajas: No hay nada cerca, ni restaurantes. Si llegas después de las 20:30 probablemente te quedes sin cenar.

Ventajas: I walked there and back from the airport which was great because I was in Tana for less Thank you 24 hrs before going to the west coast.

Ventajas: Todo el personal es muy amable. El dueño, Antoine, suele estar en las instalaciones y te hace sentir en casa. La ubicación cerca del aeropuerto es excelente, pero está lejos del centro de la ciudad. El hotel está en una zona muy segura y tiene un jardín muy bonito, además de áreas al aire libre muy agradables.

Desventajas: Como muchos hoteles en Madagascar, el baño solo está separado de la habitación por una pared sin puerta. Es raro si no estás acostumbrado a eso en tu país.

Ventajas: Personal muy amable. Recomendaría este hotel a todos mis conocidos que querrán ir a Antananarivo.

Ventajas: Close to the airport, avoid traffic into the city. Rooms are basic but very good bathrooms and bedding. Very affordable. Offer Airport transfers .... on time

Ventajas: It is 5 mins from the airport, with 100% reliable transfers (even at midnight or 2am, the norm for many int flights). Given Tana traffic, this is invaluable! And it has very pleasant gardens and comfy outside sitting/eating area, with pool. Si perfect to unwind from the full-on Madagascar trip... The food was surprisingly good. Finally - if you have a spare 1/2 day before your flight - it is only 15 mins away from the crocodile farm (lovely grounds, birds, lemurs).

Ventajas: El Hotel es muy bonito. Tiene mucho encanto y un mirador para ver la puesta de sol. La comida del restaurante está riquísima. Está a cinco minutos andando el palacio presidencial y el palacio de la reina.

Ventajas: This hotel has exceptional panoramic views of the city. There was a lovely shared balcony attached to my room as well as the dining terrace. The gardens were beautiful as was the decor. Staff was excellent.

Desventajas: Cleanliness of my room could have been a bit better.

Ventajas: Room #2 was magnificent & the omelet with bacon was super nice as was the fruit, bread, and coffee. The Punjabi Butter Chicken was also excellent. The safe was friendly, helpful, and help arranged a car to the airport. The driver was on time, spoke English well, and was a very safe driver.

Desventajas: Sadly, the local sweet wine was not of good taste or quality :( but also not expensive.

Ventajas: It’s seem as though the hotel has lost it’s ‘gloss’. The reviews for cleanliness don’t ring true from my experience. The decor is white (everything in the rooms) this requires a substantial amount of thorough cleaning to keep it to a high standard... unfortunately it’s now more beige than white. The towels are closer to brown. The duvet cover was not clean. My room on the third floor had pungent odour of either sewage or something dead. I had to move room. The second room did not have pillow cases.

Ventajas: One of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed at, food was excellent, staff very friendly and the main reason I book this place is because I heard it had good WiFi and it certainly did not disappoint actually it might be better than I have at home

Desventajas: La suite está encima del restaurante y el viernes que estuvimos había tanto ruido entre la música europea/americana en directo y luego la música que pusieron que tuvimos que pedir un cambio de habitación en mitad de la noche. El staff era poco propositivo y no estaba orientado a soluciones. Trato frío. No era el final de luna de miel que hubiésemos deseado

Desventajas: I did not like the towels. They need to improve on the quality of their towels.

Ventajas: Because I traveled around by bus I had to come back to Tana a lot. Every time I came back to Underground and that was great. It almost felt like home because the staff was so kind. The Mexican food was good! There’s an ATM across the street and within a few minutes walk you’re at the supermarket or city centre.

Ventajas: Location was great, great value, staff were knowledgeable and spoke English well so it was easy to communicate

Desventajas: The taxi to the airport had car troubles. Fortunately, she called her husband and he quickly came to take us to the airport

Desventajas: No funcionaba el baño del dormitorio, daba sensación de sucio. Luego dormimos en la habitación doble con baño compartido y nos gustó mas, el baño común está impecable ya que lo limpian constantemente y la habitación se veía mejor. Pero es muy ruidoso, es un hostal para amigos y gente con ganas de cachondeo

Ventajas: Es perfecto para estar en Cape Town por varios días.

Ventajas: El personal es encantador, siempre te atienden con una sonrisa. Un lugar muy cálido.

Desventajas: Las habitaciones que son como cabañas de madera, la de abajo, es muy ruidosa.

Desventajas: Our first floor room needed a fan. It stayed warm with nearly no windows to circulate cool air from outside.

Ventajas: I loved this hostel, perfect place to spend a few nights in tana

Ventajas: Nice and helpfull crew, lots of public space to hang Out, good food.

Ventajas: Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is very welcoming, nice and cheerful. They helped us to arrange everything for the rest of our trip as well. Highly recommended!
