Ventajas: No se puede se mas atento con los clientes. El desayuno increíble y el trato inmejorable. Es con diferencia el sitio en el que mejor nos han tratado hasta ahora. Va a ser muy difícil de superar. Sin duda para volver.

Ventajas: Our hostess, Idalia, was kindness itself and had anticipated all our wishes. And when I fell ill, she looked after me like a mother!

Ventajas: Excellent location. Welcomed with a glass of fresh orange juice, room was spacious and clean, cake, hot water JB a thermos for tea waiting for us. Access to as small, well equipped kitchen area as well. Lovely little balcony off our room. And the breakfast!! Amazing!!! Enjoy her wonderful chocolate cake too!! Just a treat!

Ventajas: What a breakfast!!!

Ventajas: A wonderful historic house, but very well maintained. Common areas (including 2 living rooms are jam-packed with antique furniture, family heirlooms, paintings and ornaments. The Lady (the owner, I think) was extremely friendly, helpful and generous. The breakfast on the terrace was beyond amazing. A huge quantity of fruit along with juice, bacon, eggs, ham, cheese, bread, toast and jam. Not humanly possible to eat it all, so containers were provided to make a packed lunch for the beach, which is only a few minutes walk away. You felt more like a family guest than a customer. I can't wait to come back here! And the town is a really pleasant, laid-back Portuguese beach resort.

Desventajas: Everything was perfect. But some people might have difficulty getting into the bathtub to take a shower.

Ventajas: Staff super kind and friendly: they made us feel very welcome to stay! Very good breakfast; good location.

Ventajas: The breakfast was amazing! It was the highlight of our stay there and that is saying a lot because the house was beautiful! Very clean, comfortable and the hosts were 5 stars. Highly recommend it for a special occasion.

Desventajas: Frankly the only think I can think of is the fact that you're required to pay by money, which makes it a little harder, but even that is not a very big issue since the house is in the center and you can easily find an ATM.

Ventajas: We loved everything about Casa da Eira. Our stay at Casa da Eira was blissfully relaxing. The staff is friendly and wonderful. Rudolf was extremely helpful and generous with his deep local knowledge of restaurants and sights. We loved the daily breakfast box of delicious local bread, fruit, yogurt, and juice delivered to our room. Nothing fancy, but really special.

Ventajas: Rudolf was very helpful. He asked about our trip and made us feel welcomed. He recommended local seafood restaurant to us which we tried and loved. He also suggested activities for us to do in the morning including beaches and walking trails. The facility is clean and cute. They provided complementary bread, jam, water and juice. Very thoughtful. Awesome rooftop views over the beach.

Ventajas: Great host, nice place to rest during the Fisherman's trail

Ventajas: The room was furnished beautifully and you get a lovely basket of fruit and bread for breakfast delivered to your room which is included in the price. This was a great choice to stay in.

Ventajas: Maravilloso sitio, con personal súper agradable. Éramos cinco personas y estuvimos alojadas en una parte de la casa que tiene 4 habitaciones cada una con wc independiente. Así que excelente Rudolp se encarga de la recepción y ha sido súper atento y amable y en todo momento nos oriento sobre dónde ir, donde comer..... etc. En conclusión, más que recomendable

Ventajas: The most friendly guest house manager you can imagine telling interesting details about the area and its population - 1000 thanks to Rudolf! The breakfast delivered to the room in the morning was so good and a real surprise.

Ventajas: Very friendly and caring staff. Excellent massage. Overall very beautiful property.

Ventajas: It has a very nice pool and bar area and the private jacuzzi on the terraces in the premium accommodation are great. The grounds are nice to walk around and the views of the countryside are great. Rooms and beds are both large and spacious, although we didn’t really use the upstairs lounge area (better in winter with the wood burning stove I think). Breakfast was nice enough and they bake excellent fresh cakes and their own signature cookies daily which you can help yourself to for afternoon tea.

Desventajas: Some of the photos on the site which attracted us to the hotel are actually from the private area which you have to book and pay extra for. You have to pay extra to use the hammam and jacuzzi. The mini bar/ fridge and wardrobe area in the room were a bit cramped which is unfortunate in such large rooms.

Ventajas: The relaxing atmosphere. The full body massage was incredible!

Ventajas: Isabel and her husband were an absolute delight and always happy to attend to our needs. I am coeliac and Isabel sourced gluten free bread especially me. The breakfast was excellent and way above our expectations. Vila Nova de Milfontes was a great choice as a base and we would highly recommend Casa da Alagoinha as a place to stay.

Ventajas: Situado en la localidad de Vilanova de Milfontes, Puedes ir caminando a la playa. El desayuno es excelente, casero y recién hecho. Cerca hay buenos restaurantes para cenar por la noche.

Desventajas: La zona en general no está muy animada. Eso sí si buscas tranquilidad es un buen sitio.

Ventajas: Comfortable furnishings, good breakfast, good location.

Desventajas: Scented oil diffusers were pervasive, couldn't avoid the smell. Two people downstairs (owners?) had a 40 minute shouting match at 8 in the morning.

Ventajas: The Casa is located in the center of the village and everything can be reached by food. Isabell is very nice host that mainly speaks Portuguese, but you will not have communication problems as she will explain everything in a charming way that you will understand it. The rooms have a good size (we had the red painted room) and are very nicely decorated and the bath room is almost new. The mattress in our room was one of the best we had in our 2.5 weeks in Portugal. Event the Casa is in the village, at night it is quiet and peaceful and the area is safe. The breakfast was great and contains everything you need from fresh cooked eggs, pancake, bread, flakes, home made cake etc. We highly can recommend this little nice Casa

Ventajas: What a gem. This is a small boutique type hotel. Very friendly and accommodating staff with a wonderful breakfast. A lovely lounge area to sit by the fire and enjoy a complimentary beverage and fresh cakes. Maria is a wonderful host and has done a marvelous job with this property. We booked a room with a sea view. Highly recommend it.

Ventajas: We finished our first 5hr day on Ruta Vincentina with the most wonderful reception here. If that wasn’t enough, we enjoyed a small (complimentary) port before dinner and the most incredible breakfast. First rate!

Desventajas: Hubo un malentendido con nuestra hora de entrada y nos tuvieron esperando en la calle media hora. Si llegas después de las seis no hay nadie en la casa para recibirte. Preguntamos si era tranquilo, nos dijeron que sí pero la plaza donde está ubicado es muy ruidosa.

Ventajas: Todo muy limpio y en buen estado. Nuestra habitación disponía de dos terracitas pequeñas con dos sillas y una mesa para poder disfrutar de las vistas.

Desventajas: La habitación es un ático que tiene difícil acceso a través de una escalera empinada. Está ubicado en una plaza concurrida y había mucho ruido por la noche. La sensación es de estar en un hostel y por tanto la relación calidad/precio me parece elevada.

Ventajas: La ubicación y la amabilidad de la persona que nos recibió ya que nos dio un mapa con sitios donde comer y playas

Desventajas: El baño fuera de la habitación. No teníamos claro si el baño era de uso exclusivo para nosotros o no.

Ventajas: It was in central location. We were welcomed in person with cake and tea, much appreciated. We also chose to have breakfast which was prepared and served for us in the dining area of the accommodation. Delicious yogurt fruit parfait, followed by cheese, cold meats, preserves, toast and freshly squeezed orange juice &coffee. A great way to start our day of exploring the Alentejo coast.

Ventajas: Nice location, very quiet surroundings. Dinner can be ordered and it is quite good. The guesthouse tries to position itself as something special and a bit luxury. However, all plates, cups etc are from Ikea. I would expect something different with this positioning.

Desventajas: It is important to know that: - the dirt road that takes you there is very, very bumpy - there is no wifi in the room (at least room 10), only in the common area, quality is poor We found it a bit "impersonal" there. Staff was friendly but there was no personal touch to it as we were used to from other guesthouses.

Ventajas: A 3 (?) star equivalent housing, with 4 star facilities and 5 star service - only better, due the familiar environment. Pristine clean room, and perfect staff, from D. Ana to the person who cleans the room. The best "quality for the price" experience in the region.

Ventajas: No recomiendo este alojamiento a nadie. Es una casa grande donde vive la familia con todas sus cosas y animales y alquilan algunas habitaciones.

Desventajas: Creo que era imposible haber dormido en un colchón peor. Eran 2 colchones sobrepuestos donde se podían sentir todos los muelles. Durante la noche se puede escuchar el ruido del baño de la habitación al lado. Por la mañana no había agua caliente en la ducha. Tienen varios pájaros y loros que hacen muchisimo ruido y el espacio en general esta demasiado lleno.

Ventajas: La comodidad y el silencio de las habitaciones y de la zona del jardín y de la piscina.

Ventajas: Mi chico y yo pasamos 3 noches en Casa dos Cactos y fue una maravilla. No sé si el Alentejo nos hubiera gustado tanto de no habernos alojado allí. La habitación es comodísima, pero lo mejor es el patio común. Allí no se puede estas más a gusto y tranquilo. La piscina es un lujo y, como solo hay 3 habitaciones, nunca está llena. Está rodeada de hamacas, sillones, sombrillas y cactus. Muchos cactus. Y cada habitación tiene su pequeño porchecito con mesa y sillas para poder desayunar/comer/loquesea allí. Tienen tortugas, un loro, por allí aparece algún gatito... Los dueños no pueden ser más agradables. Ella, nos sacaba loza limpia en una cestita todos los días y hasta nos regaló una ilustración de recuerdo cuando marchamos. Él siempre estaba pendiente de nosotros y nos echaba una mano para reservar en restaurantes (conoce a todos los dueños!). La localización es ideal, está prácticamente al principio del pueblo, en una zona muy tranquila. Cerca hay una cafetería ideal para ir a por el desayuno y un par de supermercados. Los restaurantes, el más lejano a 15 minutos andando. Las playas es mejor ir en coche, pero en el alojamiento hay bicis que te prestan si las pides. Volveríamos sin pensarlo.

Ventajas: the place was beautiful, the garden and the pool were open all night and the owners were super friendly and clearly put a lot of attention to even the tiniest detail. we only regret not having stayed for longer.

Ventajas: Our 2 children really enjoyed the animals. The walls of the room had very interesting decorations. The pool was a good addition to everything else. I would go here again

Desventajas: La habitación estaba llena de objetos de decoración y al tener piscina había bastantes mosquitos aunque la cama tenía mosquitera.

Ventajas: Un sitio super relajante y muy especial. El entorno de la piscina, rodeado de las plantas, los animales (muy controlados para que no sean molestos) y la tranquilidad de la calle en la que está, hace que este sitio sea un auténtico paraíso. Y todo eso se queda pequeño ante la amabalidad y buena disposición de los anfitriones

Ventajas: The whole place was very clean and well maintained. The breakfast selection was very good and it was great to be able to eat breakfast outside.

Desventajas: No place to sit and relax in the evening, only one chair in the fairly small bedroom. Quite a long walk from town

Ventajas: The breakfast was excellent - loads of choice of food and drink, plenty of savoury items, fruit and pasteis. So good! Eduardo welcomed us and was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and clean. There was a lovely outside area with sun loungers and a pool to relax by. There is a small bar menu for drinks too. Many thanks to Eduardo and the lovely staff!

Desventajas: It’s a half hour walk to the beaches and restaurants in Vila Nova de Milfontes. Or 5 minutes in the car. This wasn’t really a problem for us though.

Ventajas: Just wonderful laid back location just outside of town. Rooms are wonderful and very comfortable. The breakfast was great Ernesto was really helpful with Augean for dinner and routes to some of the local beaches. We were there in early spring and the weather didn’t allow for us of the pool but when turn hot that would be a major plus.

Ventajas: Es un sitio de 10, con encanto, muy bonito. Nos encantó!!! El jardin muy bien cuidado, la casa habitación típica vicentina y con excelente decoración. El desayuno con producto ecológico y pastel casero. Todo increible!!!!

Ventajas: El entorno del hotel es muy bonito. Las vistas desde la piscina al río muy bonitas (son el único sitio donde existen)

Desventajas: Las habitaciones dejan mucho que desear para el precio que se paga: son viejas con muebles que quieren ser rústicos pero que están degradados. La cama de madera suena con cada moviemiento. El baño es un desastre, tiene cortina de ducha llena de moho y no son capaces de dejar más que un jabón en dos noches de estancia. Las juntas de los azulejos están negras. Las habitaciones están mal aisladas, por lo que se oyen las TVs y niños de al lado. En la piscina hay 15 hamacas y hay muchas más personas alojadas, por lo que no teníamos donde ponernos; al preguntar por más tumbonas en recepción no se nos dio solución, nos dijeron que además llegaría pronto más gente. El desayuno lo cobran aparte, estando muy alejado del pueblo.

Ventajas: The view from the pool was amazing, nature is really nice too. There were fresh oranges for breakfast for you to make juice.

Desventajas: - the room was too dark and even with all the lights on it was still too dark. - there was no view at all, we could see the other building which was 3m from our terrasse. - the room was just behind the reception, so we could hear everything in the evening and in the morning. - the place is quite old, the bathroom was not clean, tiles were orange. - breakfast was generous but everything was frozen food, except one cake that was not really good. - the staff were honestly not very friendly at the check in and during the breakfast and not helpful. - the hotel was supposed to propose a jacuzzi for clients but the water was as cold as the swimming pool!!!

Desventajas: The room/bathroom felt rather tired and in need of a revamp. The room had french doors leading to a small patio area which was fine, the disappointment was the lack of any sort of view considering the property was on a large piece of land. We looked out on to another row of rooms, they all seemed to be on top of each other! We felt it was over priced. Also felt it maybe more suited to families rather than couples.

Ventajas: Really close to the water, the receptionist was greatand gave really good advice about where to go and eat. We experienced a beautiful sunset whilst eating some.delicious fresh fish. Modernised apartment really fresh clean and tidy!

Desventajas: There was no elevator to get to the rooms on the upper floors, which was difficult with lots of luggage. there was also no shampoo in the bathroom, which we weren't warned of beforehand

La habitación limpia, impecable amplia y moderna y lo más importante cuando viajas q la cama sea cómoda y lo es con creces lo cual es muy importante No importa q no tenga desayuno está la pastelaria cafetaria Mabi a 5mts andando que se almuerza de lujo y barato

Ventajas: The nicest part of the apartment was the balcony/terrace, which was spacious and connected both rooms. It is close (walking distance) to the beach and has shops around. Hosts were also pro-active and gave us the map where they marked all the points of interest in the village.

Desventajas: Space wise it felt a bit cramped, since we were 4 adults there. Mini-fridge and kettle for some reason were located in the main bedroom (not in the living room with unfoldable sofa). Overall it was okay for spending a night there and having a drink on the terrace in the evening, but not the place where you want to spend time indoors.

Ventajas: Extremely clean and new. Great location and nice staff

Desventajas: Tuvimos que salirpor la mañana a desayunar en el pueblo.

Ventajas: Zona independiente, el acceso y la zona de aparcamiento muy fácil . La cama muy cómoda y el baño amplio. Cercano al centro.

Ventajas: The location is perfect, right in the center of the city and walking distance from restaurants and sites. It met our expectations, simple and very clean! Friendly staff giving us tips on where to go. Definitely good value for money!

Desventajas: Nothing we didn’t like.

Ventajas: The apartment we had was near the pool with a outdoor table where we could eat breakfast outside :) The owner gave us a lot of information about the village. There was also a free parking a 2 Minute walk away from the apartment.

Desventajas: The cupboards in the kitchen had a very weird smell like there was growing a lot of mould in it.

Ventajas: very clean, good position, friendly staff, sunny room

Desventajas: bad spring mattresses, no place to put the suitcase, no table to put some belongings on.

Ventajas: Easy to find; good deal for the price; internet was ok; good location and very friendly and helpful staff! If you have luggage ask to stay closer to the ground floor !

Ventajas: The hotel is towards the end of the main strip so it's not too much traffic going on, and we went during off season. From checking in to checking out, it was a breeze. The lady at the reception was very nice and spoke good English. She really helped us in giving us directions of where to go for food because we were starving when we arrived and not that many places open at night for some reason. She also suggested what to do around the area to explore, as well as where to park our car since we rented a car and drove there. The room is nice and spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is clean, however, the bed and bedding is a little old looking and worn out but it was fine, we only stayed one night. There's a TV in the room so I can fall asleep watching TV, since we went during off peak season and everything closed early and there wasn't much to do at night. The balcony is a plus to look out to when waking up in the morning and see the views, if you have the ocean view room you can look over the side of the high walled balcony and see a little bit of the water from far away. The hotel has a little courtyard in the middle with a lemon/orange tree so it feels like home and relaxing. It's a perfect little place to go for a weekend and to relax. It's a good place for couples too since the rooms are only double beds and the architecture is nice and feels nice. The beach is somewhat near by and you can walk to it for exploration in the day time. The hotel is also close to all the little shops so it's cool to shop and explore/walk around the main strip of the town.

Desventajas: No parking in the premises. There's no elevator so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs, and it depends on which level you're staying in it's going to be a hike for you to bring your stuff up. I stayed on the 2nd level so it was difficult for me with my luggage.
