We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was comfortable (antiques and wood floors are very nice), bed was comfortable, breakfast was good. Also liked the historical garden next door. Not far from historical sites and museums. Would definitely stay again.

We spent 4 nights here visiting the western front battlefields. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the menu was limited but good, the range of beers excellent, and the house wine good, too. We had an excellent stay and would stay again without any hesitation.

“Nice breakfast. Sheeps and a deer in the courtyard.”
“I’ve asked for a special breakfast (glutenfree and lactose free) and the staff has foreseen it for me. The staff was super friendly and the hotel lays on a beautiful domain with trenches and other war remains. Diner was also delicious and the portion was great.”
“A spacious, comfortable room and a substantial continental breakfast were much appreciated after a long drive from SW France. The hotel is well situated for exploration of WW1 history in the Ypres area, even immediately adjacent to the hotel itself. The hotel offers free exceptionally fast internet which was indispensable to us as our ferry from Zeebrugge to UK was cancelled at the last minute and we needed to organise an alternative from Rotterdam while Belgium was in lockdown. This is an hotel we chose at random but will most definitely return to when the world returns to some form of normality.”

“The hotel itself is in old building with loads of charm and the room was in keeping with the rest of the building. It was comfortable enough but did not blow me away. I liked the air conditioning in the room. The TV had some English speaking channels. The room overlooked the beautiful courtyard. The location was right next to a WWI crater with its own trench system to explore so history buffs will love it. The staff were lovely. The food in the restaurant was delicious with large portions. The breakfast was typical continental with lots of options. Lots of CV19 precautions in place. Windows had fly screens! Families could walk to the Aquapark in minutes!”
