Very friendly and courteous staff.
Decor needs a major facelift, food cools very quickly, Wi-Fi poor; Glastonbury closes very early, and runs on Central London prices.Limited food menu
Breakfast
didn't like the bucket catching rainwater in my bedroom, didn;t like the windows that wouldn't close nor the central heating that couldn't be turned down and old sponge pillows.
Olde World charm. Good selection of ale
Poorly lit bathroom mirror and none whatsoever in bedroom
Friendly service, great location.
no complaints
The building was built in the 15th century - and you can feel that when you first glance it, when you walk in, when you walk around, and even the room we were staying in was all crooked and ancient - but with all the modern facilities you would need, a perfect bathroom, convenient bed, lots of rooms to put your places in (tons of drawers). Staff was very friendly!
The view from the room was not too good - through a tiny window I could see only the back of the rest of the buildings. Also, de food was quite delicious - but quite dear according to other places I've dined in the UK.
situacion
demasiado antiguo
I liked the old character and the food was fantastic. I thought the decor was great and the beds were really comfortable
we stayed in a room at the front and the room was very bright from the street and hotel outside lights they need black out fabric backing the blind. The staff were polite but when we left we were not asked if we enjoyed our stay.
I was given an upgrade to a wonderful suite of rooms! really very good!
The room was up a curved staircase and whilst I was having a good day with my condition I could manage to get up . However on a bad day and using my crutches I wouldnt be able to. There was a huge airconditioning unit on the roof of extension one floor below. It kept switching on and off every few minutes all night making sleep nearly impossible! I raised this in the morning and was given a £15 reduction in the fee. They said they usually turn it off at night - it ruined my stay
Hotel location - perfect!
Dining room closed on Sunday night!!! No TV remote in room. TV not tuned up properly.
The historical settings
The restaurant staff are not aware of good customer skills. We had a meal and when we decided to end it with a dessert, we were told the kitchens had already been closed. Nobody had informed us
