Hotel Ungheria Varese 1946

The hotel was nice, clean and friendly staff .it is airconditioned and the break fast was good

The Hotel is in excellent shape, the staff was very friendly. We had a booking problem due to an interface issue with booking.com and they found a very good solution on the spot. They speak french and english, which is an advantage. The breakfast was excellent. Be sure to get a room in the upper floor on the back side as you'll have a view on lake Varese. Note that the Hotel is in town, but not in the center. There are no sidewalks, so expect to use a car to visit the surroundings.

Comfortable family run hotel in Varese.Hotel is about 20 minutes from the Swiss border and about 45-60mins. to either Stresa, Como or Orta San Giulio. The hotel has a lot of caché. Rooms are spacious, decorated with old furniture. The rooms facing the street didn't have a great view, however, the rooms facing the rear had nicer views. Service was excellent. There are 3 parking options: in their private parking garage (8€), in the rear of the hotel (5-6 spots only) and otherwise on the streets near the hotel (it’s safe and also free of charge). Breakfast buffet was good, above average for italian hotels. Overall it’s a comfortable family run hotel with good price/quality ratio not too far from Ticino/Italian lakes.
