Ventajas: "such a big difference in size of aircraft, very comfortable and great crew."

Desventajas: "We were bussed to the plane, there were long dark hairs on my pillow, and they are generous with snacks at close intervals, but the food could be much better. The ideas are cute, but the actual food is pretty basic, which is disappointing for Virgin, who I hold in high regard. Or did."

Desventajas: "Crew members are a bit bland and lack customer service, but I noticed that as a whole in Australia (slow service/not really interactive or communicative & very quick to make comments and leave) not sure if they just hate Americans based on the media or what. One crew member cut in line at the restroom when there was 3 of us waiting to go. Another told me my husband couldn’t receive his meal because he was napping and then he quickly walked away— Yet i received mine on the flight coming to Australia when my husband asked for me? Sanitation between flights should be more strict-my headphones were opened which lead me to believe my pillow wasn’t changed either, since one had a case and one didn’t."

Desventajas: "My first leg flight was delayed and I booked through kayak on two different airlines and the first airline did not communicate with the second airline so 5 passengers ran to make the change and arrived 1 min after the jetbridge to get on the plane was pulled away. It was incredible frustrating and could have very easily been avoided with communication from the airlines"

Ventajas: "The crew was great with updates. Checking in was a bit confusing though as not all the crew knew what was up. It was a very crowded day so it was bound to be a bit rough. Of my last four flights to London Virgin Atlantic was the best!"
Desventajas: "Heathrow was a bit confusing and it took a moment to get my bearings. The crew was a bit disorganized but that seemed to get solved quickly."

Desventajas: "It wasn't clear that we would need to pay to check our luggage, especially since every international flight I have ever been on allows you a checked bag at no cost. When we got to the airport it cost us $130 each to check our bag which we were told it would have been around $50 if we had done it online ahead of time (if we knew). $130 per bag is excessive for checked luggage and we were extremely frustrated and disappointed. I like to fly Virgin when I can due to comfort but that experience left much to be desired."

Ventajas: "The whole flight was great quick boarding, lots of leg room, good entertainment, a USB charge port, good lighting, and the crew was very nice and helpful. I enjoyed the flight and would like to fly Virgin Atlantic more. Finally, you are the 3rd best flight, I have ever take, and the 2nd best airline I've been on. Flew Business Class on Swiss Air once to Geneva (#1) and all the flights I have had with Porter Air are comparable to your airline, but the free cookies and beverages at Porter's terminal in Toronto wonderful."
Desventajas: "A couple things went wrong on this trip, my checked luggage got misplaced for a day, and a nice women in baggage claim told me what was happening and a nice man handled my claim and my bag has now been returned to me. The bigger thing is my flight bas delayed taking off by 3 hours. Let me start that I would rather have a part replaced on the runway then not, safety is paramount. The fact is my flight took off 3 hours late from London (VS11), and got to my destination (BOS) 2.5 hours late. Kudos to the flight crew for getting me to my destination faster by gaining a little time. Plus, since BOSTON was my final destination it was all fine this time. But if I had had to get home to the elder person I take care of or my teenager it would been a problem. Again, I'm annoyed, but I do understand the reasons and they are valid and preferred. I have heard that airlines to keep their flight rating high, wait for planes to leave the gate on time and then do repairs on the tarmac. If this is still a SOP for airlines you should change the way the statistics are collected and figure out a way of not perpetuating this type of disincentive. This is just hypothesis on my part, and my whole trip had little negatives."

Ventajas: "Al comprar el ticket no se aclaraba que a pesar de ser un vuelo internacional se debia pagar por las valijas. Venia de hacer 5 vuelos internos por Australia y en todos los casos tanto Jet como Quantas aclaraban que se debia pagar por el adicional!!!"

Desventajas: "Let's see, my connecting flight was delayed. I missed my Sydney flight so they put me ona flight to Brisbane which was actually pretty great. Then, oh then they lose my bag. Two days later I guess is an appropriate time to then put it on the next flight? What? My bag is 20 pounds, smaller than a standard sized Dachshund. And low and behold they said I can spend up to $50 on necessities. Too kind, virgin Australia, too kind."

And in my experience, there is a huge difference between the two, so I prefer to know exactly which airline will be servicing me. Just be more clear in listing on flight info. This was not a Virgin flight, it was a Delta one."

Al salir del primer vuelo Bilbao Amsterdam nos dijeron la B30; alli no era y en los monitores vimos la B06; luego al ver que 30 min antes de salir nadie se movía en el embarque. Vimos que se cambió a la B34. El vuelo se retrasó 20min."
Desventajas: "Ya que existe la app de KLM debería actualizar la puerta de embarque para evitar confusiones y stress. Y siempre la megafonía de los aeropuertos. No comprendo que con todos los adelantos que hay en audio, sigamos escuchando tan mal las megafonías y aquellos que hablan tengan tan mala dicción."

Desventajas: "La amabilidad de los sobrecargos, No son para nada amables, lucen aburridos de su trabajo como que no lo disfrutan. El abordaje es lento y desordenado, no ayudan a que los pasajeros se acomoden y sus maletas, antes lo hacían. Perdieron mi equipaje de ida y de venida. NAdie responde."

Desventajas: "The only complaint I have was the bag dropoff counter. There was one person, checking in 9 airlines! A second person came after awhile, and they were amazing, polite and very efficient. But the wait to get to the counter was not acceptable. Even tho' we were fourth in line, they began calling people from the back for another, I guess, earlier flight, different airline. Understandable, but frustrating for those of us who arrived early, but had to wait. Otherwise, flying Aer Lingus was a pleasure."

Desventajas: "Worst possible gluten-free meal. Other airlines do it better. One CFAN make a sauce to put on chicken - it doesn't have to be boiled or microwave into a piece of rubber, with plain rice and a couple of boiled carrots. This isn't just gluten-free, it's complete allergen-free which is quite different"

Ventajas: "Fue un buen viaje, puntuales y tuvieron cortesia a la hora de acomodar a las personas"

Ventajas: "Nothing out of the ordinary but I am not going to fly Air Lingus or TAP ever again."
Desventajas: "the Team Leader at the check in counter was nasty, Her colleague made the mistake of not telling me that I had to wait there for the wheelchair that was going to take me to the plane, so I went to have a light breakfast. Then I waited half an hour on my feet waiting for the wheelchair"

Desventajas: "Could have announced that there was a cost for ginger ale etc. before passengers placed request. Frankly overall it was excellent service."

Ventajas: "The entertainment was great."
Desventajas: "It was hard coming home since we can't bring any food with meat on the international flight coming back to the USA. Or at least the food I brought, a sandwich was not allowed because of customs. I can't eat the food that was offered. I'm glutten intolerant and dairy involerant. Not sure there's a whole lot to do about it besides buy prepackaged food that don't have meat, vegtabjes or fruit. Protien bars may have worked. We brought two bottles of water each from the terminal. I could have used more, even with the drink service. The flight attendants we're having thier own personal conversation while passing out food and ran by when it came to the final trash clean up. When I got up to use the facilities I tried throwing my trash away but was ignored by a crew member while she was resting."

Desventajas: "Flight was good. Kayak service terriible. First time user and I’ll never use it again. Who wants to deal with a third third part. Information was not translated properly and resulted in my wife and I on separate flight."

Ventajas: "Staff was wonderful, food was great! Takeoff was a little delayed but they kept us informed and that was fine. Over all a wonderful experience"

Ventajas: "First experience flying business class -- and Aer Lingus has it down to a science! Great food (maybe too much actually!), friendly attendants, great service -- and the most wonderful pods that allow you to lay out flat for a snooze, complete with duvets and pillows."

Ventajas: "Very professional crew, super tight seats and not much room under seat, so very cramped for 8.5 hour flight"
Desventajas: "I was at the airport 4 hours early- no connections. They still managed to lose my bag. I don’t live near an airport. It added 2 hours to a long trip to wait for it, then wait with others to fill out papers when it didn’t show up."

Ventajas: "Very kind, knowledgeable personnel!"

Ventajas: "Food good. But best was that US Immigration was in Dublin, not NYC, where there was no line!"

Ventajas: "We liked that they resolved our issues fast and they were very polite"
Desventajas: "We didn’t fly to Dublin because our fly was change to London , we had paid for our seats 150+ for 2 London was very stressful , at arriving we spend 45minutes to get into the terminal waiting for a bus The layover was 1:20 minutes so we arrived on time but all the waiting made us late to check in . After runing like chickens with no head a polite customer representative put us through and informed us that our fly was delayed becouse the plane had mechanical issues, so after all that we had to wait 1 hr at the airport and another 1 hr or so to make sure the plane was ready to leave , after that we made it to New York instead of 7 pm we arrived 10 pm , very tired"

Ventajas: "Los retrasos en los dos vuelos ida y vuelta, deberían compensar de alguna forma el incumplimiento de los horarios."
Desventajas: "Deberían dar algún snack ya que el precio no es barato para no poder darlo. No lo recomiendo"

Ventajas: "I got home safely. Got some food long flight."
Desventajas: "Gate announcer called for priority board and section beyond. Before adequately completed called for next section of rows to board. Those rude people crammed into the incomplete boarding line previously announced. Yes, we have assigned seats but overhead luggage often ends up way forward of rearward owners leaving forward passengers no place for convenient overhead storage. The cabin wait staff is ill trained for customer service. They seemed to only have requirements to check off on a list. We will likely make every attempt to not fly your airlines again."

Ventajas: "On time and friendly"

Ventajas: "Uneventful"
Desventajas: "Nothing"

Ventajas: "Even if Aer LIngus is considered a low cost, I felt it was everything but that. The plane looked new, the board computers were modern and had the latest movies, there were charging docks for phones and even internet. We got to Orlando 30 minutes ahead of schedule, which was great!"

Ventajas: "Great seats plenty of leg room"
Desventajas: "The food... Yikes"

Desventajas: "There were 3 travelers in our family and we were not seated together. I assumed the flight was full but to our surprise there were empty seats that would allow us to be together. Serving of meals and drinks were slow although the food was better this time compared to our Chicago to Dublin trip. Movie selections were poor."

Desventajas: "Passengers line up to board instead of waiting for their number rows to be called. I ended up boarding later than most and the overhead lockers of the front rows (where I was sitting) were completely full. I had to place my baggage very far back and wait for almost everyone to leave the plane so I could collect it."

Ventajas: "Pilot told us the flight plan"

Ventajas: "Flight was on time."
Desventajas: "Terminals were too far apart. Long walk to get to security. Too many repetitive checkpoints."

Desventajas: "Worst flight experience I've ever had and I'm 70+ years old. In Dublin we were diverted from JFK to Hartford due to "mechanical problems" and told we'd be met at the gate and provided ground transportation to JFK. Approximately 30 others going to either JFK or Boston were told the same thing and joined us on a half empty flight to Hartford. When we landed there was no representative at the gate, no ground transportation provided, and no effort to help us. A little investigation on cell phones revealed both the Boston and JFK flights left on time (and I'm guessing full). Needless to say the customers were quite upset. Some even raised their voices which caused the kid representatives of Aer Lingus to call the state troopers (really). When the troopers did nothing the Aer Lingus reps locked themselves in their office rather than deal with their customers. After 2 hours of waiting for the promised ground transportation we gave up, rented a car, and drove ourselves to our destination at our own expense. We were never provided even a free drink. Horrible. Lies upon lies upon lies. I'll never consider flying with them again"

Desventajas: "Flight delayed by a day. No reasonable efforts to get us there through another airline."

Ventajas: "Crew was very pleasant and efficient. They did give us a voucher for a snack while we waited"
Desventajas: "Had a delay of nearly 3 h for maintenance issues, then once plane at the gate boarding was further delayed due to a fuel spill on tarmac when fueling the aircraft"

Desventajas: "The aircraft was old. The flight attendants were disinterested. The seats were terribly uncomfortable."

Desventajas: "My issue has more to do with after the flight, than the actual flight. My luggage was lost somehow between Heathrow and Shannon. The lack of communication I received from Aer Lingus, and the length of time it took for me to get the luggage was a bit ridiculous. I was never told what happened to the luggage and I was given the timeline to receive my luggage within 24 hours. Well it took over 48 hours to get the luggage. I was given specific timeframes to call the Shannon Airport Aer Lingus luggage desk, which I followed. Had to leave a message every time, and not once was it returned. The only communication I did get was calling the Shannon Airport directly and working with their employees. I could tell they were frustrated with me, which is completely understandable, because they weren't the appropriate people to communicate with. I was just very disappointed in the customer service."

Ventajas: "They boarded us in a very timely, organized and quick manner. The food was delicious and the flight attendants were awesome."
Desventajas: "Sitting in the middle seats, the flight attendants missed us for water offers and our tv's seemed stopped having any sound. I believed they overheated. After a couple hours, they cooled down and went on again. It was a very cold flight. I was so thankful for the blanket and that I brought my own also."

Ventajas: "nothing"
Desventajas: "We just returned home to New York from our trip to Amsterdam and Ireland. The trip itself was amazing despite the sub par customer service we received from Aer Lingus that definitely put a damper on our vacation. Our flight on Wed July 19th from NYC to Amsterdam went off without a hitch until we claimed our luggage, my brand new suitcase was covered with stains. Very disappointing but we went on to enjoy our time in Amsterdam. The real problems began when we flew from Amsterdam to Dublin, first we were seated all over the plane and worst of all when we arrived my husband's bag was lost. We went to customer service and completed the paper work. Everything my husband had for the trip was in that bag. Aer Lingus only texted him once and after that he had to call every day to check the status of his bag. Instead of exploring Dublin, we had to spend Sunday shopping to get him clothes for the trip. No word from Aer Lingus. Monday morning July 24 he calls to find the status of his bag. It was found in Amsterdam and was to be flown to Dublin and shipped to our next stop in Kinsale. We arrived Monday evening to find that the bag had not been shipped. Again no word from Aer Lingus. My husband called to find out the status and made arrangements to pick the bag up when we were flying back to NYC. We were happy the bag was found but my husband still was without all of his belongings for our entire trip. On Thursday July 27 we arrived at the airport early to retrieve the bag before we checked in to our flight. We were dismayed to find that there was not a person to talk to but a phone on a column to call to get help retrieving the luggage. There was a queue at the phone with people ahead of us in similar situations. Finally someone came out to escort my husband to get his bag. We were traveling with our son, and again our seats were scattered about the plane. There was no one at checkin to help us, and we didn't get help at the gate. So we had to sit separately for the 6 hour and 30 minute flight. When we claimed our bags, my bag now had tears along with the stains. This was a brand new suitcase and it is now ruined. My husband says he will never fly Aer Lingus again and this was the worst customer service he has had in his life. The customer service was virtually non existent."

Ventajas: "The on-screen entertainment as good and easy and free. It was great to get two hot meal services on such a long flight. Cabin was very clean. Captain was quite cordial and informative."
Desventajas: "On an almost 11 hour flight, we got very thirsty so an additional beverage service would have been nice. I must say that I was a bit taken aback by the fact that they get their crew to sell merchandise during the flight from their on-board catalog."

Ventajas: "Nice stewards."
Desventajas: "Terrible bag handling and passenger experience management wrote to airline 3 times and no response. Was without luggage for a week with no offer of assistance."

Ventajas: "Excellent overall experience on my first Aer Lingus flight. As a nervous flyer I highly recommend Aer Lingus"

Ventajas: "Nothing."
Desventajas: "The plane was dirty and old, the food horrible, cramped seats, dirty and non functioning bathrooms, stressed out and inattentive staff, poor coordination of seating families together (I was told my seat was given to a woman so she could sit with her adult daughter...I wasn't asked, just told), the flight was 1.5 hour delayed, my bag was lost because the incompetent staff member in Italy didn't give me a bording pass for the Dublin to LA flight (I'm still waiting over 24 hours later to find out what's happened to my luggage). Overall, this flight was a nightmare and a huge let down after flying to Rome on British Airways. I can't say enough about how wonderful that flight was..Aer Lingus was a big disappointment and a poor substitute for BA. Very unsatisfied customer!"

Ventajas: "The people who worked at the front desk and boarding desk were very friendly and met my needs. As I asked to sit up front and they got me seats by aisle in the front. The beef stew were good"

Ventajas: "Flight was delayed 40 mins because Aer Lingus was unable to meet departure time and Air Traffic Control couldn't fit them into the departing flights rotation outside of their originally scheduled time. As a result, the airplane was stuck at the gate for 30 minutes. The rest we spent taxiing to what seemes the furthest end of the airport. The airplane hadn't been cleaned in a while as was evident by extremely sticky and smelly tray tables in our row."
Desventajas: "Aer Lingus personnel were incompetent and inefficient. Most were more interested in chatting with coworkers than actually assisting customers. Seats had not been assigned despite my previous assurance from EA customer service folks, and special meal requests for my wife and child had not been added to our booking record. Calling Aer Lingus almost always requires you to hold 30 minutes before anyone answers. Again, I suspect they are just as disinterested in helping customers as the ground personnel."

Ventajas: "Made great time crossing the Atlantic."
Desventajas: "This flight combination was a tough one, yet it did, in the end come together. The meal(s) were good enough (but not better than), though the stews could spend precious little time with any given passenger. Oh, the meal choices ran our such that we had a 1 choice choice. Odd. Though we got across the Atlantic pretty fast, the turbulence the pilots were unable/unwilling to evade was pretty frightening..."

Ventajas: "Nice entertainment system on seat backs with USB charger on the Dublin-Newark leg."
Desventajas: "Aer Lingus partners with UNITED for the Newark-Orlando leg. Flight was overbooked by 20 people and another 20 were on standby. My luggage didn't travel with me so it didn't arrive in Orlando when I did. I was fortunate that it made the next flight so I only had to wait an hour. Some fellow Irish passengers weren't so lucky."

Desventajas: "The personnel are just not well informed about their jobs and really don't seem to be very smart. Sorry- I fly a lot. These folks are dumb."

Ventajas: "Very accommodating and helpful. Food was much better than the flight over from Boston. The in flight entertainments worked. Didn't on the way over from Boston. Thank you for that."
