Desventajas: "Customer service and ability to sort out technical issues were truly appalling. My touch screen monitor crashed and the controls that would enable me to alert crew members for any concerns also didn't work. Both issues happened twice. The second time, I informed them that if these technical issues continued to fail and couldn't be resolved, I needed to be placed in another seat, of which I specifically told them was not to be a seat far behind my current row seat. Instead, they went and offered me a seat that was 22 rows behind, especially after I had paid extra fees to sit in the seat I was given higher up the aisle. I also informed them that I wasn't feeling well and the closer I was to the exit when we landed, the better. They ignored these concerns. That is unacceptable considering that it was their system that was faulty in the first place that led to these problems. Their staff also failed to regularly walk the aisles to ensure customers were okay with the service. I've been on planes whereby the crew is constantly walking around to ensure everyone is being taken care of. For example, I had a great experience with Korean Air where I saw staff every 10-15mins checking on customers. Air New Zealand completely failed in this regard. When my system crashed the second time, because I couldn't call anyone in the crew using the controls on my touch screen, and the person sat next to me was asleep (didn't want to wake him up to use his device to call!), I waited 25-30mins before going up to the crew station to seek help. I had to wait an additional 10-15mins before I even saw someone at the crew station. There are some other issues I encountered but the above were the main ones. This is the first time I've actually had to criticize an airline for it's customer service. I've been travelling for over 25 years and never encountered what I did today. I certainly won't be flying with them again."

Desventajas: "I was booked on flight QF 74 from San Francisco, connecting in Sydney (3 hour connection) to Queenstown, New Zealand. When I went to check in I was told that I needed a transit visa for Australia because of my Indian Passport. When I booked the flight back in September, it was not a requirement to have a transit Visa. I was told by the Qantas supervisor that this was a new requirement as of October for Indian and Chinese passport holders even with brief connections. 9 people were in a similar situation the day before and denied boarding. I understand that things change, but I am very disappointed in the service provided to me. Of course, they could not help me get an evisa for Australia, but they were not even willing to help me search for it rebook a Qantas flight connecting in a different city/country. They did not even connect me with online reservations directly to quickly do something to be able to continue on my journey. They only gave me a phone number to call and sent me away. I tried the number and was on hold for almost an hour. Luckily, my friends were on a different flight on Air New Zealand that had seats leaving in 2 hours, and I almost missed that waiting to talk to someone from Qantas. I booked a ticket with Air New Zealand (by talking to their checkin agent, who was able to connect me directly with a reservations agent via a direct line, which was something I was hoping Qantas would help me with at a bare minimum) and I was able to purchase a ticket for that Air NZ flight and continue on. I’m VERY disappointed in the way that I was treated and not provided with assistance in a timely manner. I would have almost missed that flight and have to miss out on pre-arranged travel plans losing out on an additional $2000 in tour / accommodation bookings."

I am surprised why Qantas is rated #9 among best airlines for 2016. I will try to avoid Qantas in the gorier."

We had checked with a quanta staff while getting our boarding pass about the wheelchair and she said they will be providing her with it. So disappionted. How will I be able to trust quantas again while booking tickets for aged/sick people?"

Had to remove shoes, was scanned and "frisked" by TSA to get to Denver. To go to Australia, Denver TSA waived the removal of shoes, skipped the scan for the metal detector and no one touched me, ditto for LAX on the trip to Sydney. Where's the uniformity or standards for TSA?? Why did I have to be subjected to this garbage on the way home?? This is why I despise flying. It makes no sense to me. This ruined what was a great vacation."

The shuttle from Terminal 2 to 3 seems unnecessary, especially with the set of stairs to bus shuttle. A bit dangerous to line up on stairs especially for the elderly managing bags etc. Lower price on checked bags and you will not have to do repeated call out for volunteers."
Ventajas: "The checking in was efficient and smooth. The service was great. None of us had any complaints, whatsoever. My husband told our pilot that she was underpaid. Thank you, thank you."

Desventajas: "I don’t want to give an excellent review because it leads to higher fares. But these people are pretty darn good we like to fly with them as much as possible. Two things can be corrected, however. Firstly the amount and size of carry on. If a bag or bundle looks really too big it really is too big. These people are so accommodating though they just let it go. Secondly, sometimes we check in early on line and we have a bag allowance. However, when printing a boarding pass at the airport if we say we are checking a bag the machine wants to charge for it. We always have to ask an attendant to clear this. Perhaps it’s time to fix this little issue. Like I said, I hate to give them an excellent rating because it makes it harder to get a good seat. The company is great and the folks working there are really great. Sorry to say."

Desventajas: "I'm a bit disappointed by the services provided by Westjet: 1) I never received the confirmation of my fight/booking from Westjet; 2) I was not aware that the connecting from LA to SJ and SJ to LA were operated by different companies therefore I was not able to check in or even to check the gate information at the airport. I almost missed my flight from SJ to LA in the early morning 3) at the SJ airport, I was not aware that the flight from SJ to LA was operated by Delta not American airline. However, the Westjet customer services 1-888 number listed in your Kayak confirmation was not a correct number. I even tried to look up another customer services number of Westjet by searching the Westjet website, the number I found was not in service neither. I almost missed my flight from SJ to LA 4) At the LA airport I was told that I was not able to board the flight because I did not have the Canadian ETA. they said they would pull my checked luggages and flight them with my re-scheduled flight and will be shipped to the final destination Vancouver, Canada. when I arrived Vancouver, both suitcases were not arrived with my flight. One arrived with my original flight and the second were missing. The agent could not even tell me where the suitcase was. Moreover, the second did not arrive the time I was told it should arrive. My second suitcase was not allocated even before I left Vancouver to Europe one day after my travel. 5) No one responded to the luggage services number provided in the document. I could only successfully login to the link for the checking the status after I returned home in Brussels. 6) I was told that the second suitcase will be delivered to my home in Europe by another company. Currently I'm still waiting for my second suitcase."

Desventajas: "The flight was delayed by 4 1/2 hours and it was handled horribly. First, I had to wait at check-in for 1 hour despite having checked in online. Next, we were told hourly-wise to check-in at the gate to find out when our flight would leave. This was a hassle and caused me a lot of stress since I had to make new plans with a new itinerary for my arrival in Chile where I was supposed to meet my elderly parents. The staff kept telling me they didn't know when we'd leave asking me to check back four times before they were able to give me a definite time. Aweful experience that caused me a lot of stress and inconvenience."

Desventajas: "The services is good, but they do not do it with a smile on their face. I asked for a cup of water and both times it took them about 10 minutes to get me that cup. The crew always seems to be bothered to serve the customer. There is also a big difference between services going straight to Santiago on the 787 and to Peru on the 767. I understand the plan (767) is older and that does not bother me. What bothers me is the disparity in service between the two. I received great service the first time I traveled on LATAM, ever since then they have disappointed. I do not understand what is going on with them."

Also I traveled with my 3 year old son and they gave us separated seats. And I asked if we can have better seats for the next fly and they refuse because they supposed to be full but I notice close to me was a empty row and someone noticed that and move to it. They could made the things a little more easy with a mom with a toddler. They used to be more considered"
