Desventajas: "I was denied checking in a the counter. I bought the ticket with a friends credit card and they needed to have the actual card to swipe and then only they get access to my booking. It is company policy but it is not stated when you are making the purchase the airlines website. It says so on the bottom of the ticket on the page long rules in small print. And in all honesty who reads all of that these days. The ground crew were nice enough to take me to the airlines office at the airport and figure out a solution. It took an hour and a half to sort it out and get a verification from headquarters office in Srilanka."

Desventajas: "Unfriendly ambiance. Disorganized boarding. I’m even a member of Fly Smiles. The flight attendant named Chanaka moved 2 old passengers on my side. I kindly requested to another staff if I can just move seat too because I am not comfortable. But request no action. The cabin crew are not that caring because I took care of the 2 passengers. I just don’t understand why they are unfriendly. I will not choose this airlines again."

Desventajas: "Before engines shut down and fasten seat belt sign off people were removing bags from the overhead. Passengers were not required/forced to stow bags overhead, blocking egress from window seats."

Desventajas: "In the Delhi airport we never interacted with anyone from Sri Lankan Airlines because a third party was contracted to work the counters, check us in, issue boarding passes, etc... These workers were all maybe 20 years old and possessed what seemed like zero training to do their job at all. They never had any answers and just smiled while saying “I don’t know” a million times. We were corralled and moved and waited hours while they ran around doing nothing."

Ventajas: "Being a QR Gold member and one world airline I opt UL for few travels by which i can get additional miles and travel in business with less money compared to QR. The service is good and the flights are always in time and well clean. There ia flat seats between Doha to Colombo and from there to Kerala is normal flight but its fine. Business class lounge in Colombo is good with free feet and head massage. When there is a five hour plus transit, free hotel is provided by UL. Overall i like their flights and service and food."

Desventajas: "My bags were screened three times. Really? Once through security, we were told the gate wasn't open so we were escorted back out. And then had to go through security again. Chaos. No lines just pushing and shoving, people crawling under the rope and cutting the line. No matter the flight, the airport over shadows every thing."

SriLankan staff sent me to the lounge and treated me very well. The 2nd leg was badly delayed and poorly handled for most passengers."
Desventajas: "Fortunately I was in Business Class. Coach was loaded onto a bus and held without air conditioning for about 30 minutes. The bus went to the plane and returned because they were not ready to board yet. Poor coach treatment of passengers."

Ventajas: "1.The crew was average. the seat comfort is different in different rows as far as legroom is concerned. 2. The crew member was not aware of the procedure involved in passengers involved transfers to various destinations after landing at New Delhi. They misguided some passengers(including me) directing them to exit through emmigration procedure, collect the baggage and report at domestic transfer desk. we had been issued Transfer Boarding Pass at Chicago itself for our connection flight to Bengaluru.There was no need to go through the emmigration at New Delhi and collect the baggage. The baggage collection procedure was a hell of a business. This can be verified from the various registers maintained at domestic transfer desk. it took almost 3 hours for getting the luggage going through the customs etc, 4. At the arrival lounge there was no AIR INDIA HELP DESK or representative to guide the passengers. Similarly, the sign board only displayed transfers/baggage claims arrows. and the suddenly one finds a sign board displaying domestic transfers. At this point confusion arises as the passengers disembarked from international flights are required to go to international transfers where there is no requirements for emmigration and baggage collection as the emmigration procedures take place at final destination if it has the facilities. 3, The numbers of passengers affected may be verified from the various registers at the airport. On three registers kept at various entry points, we had to make entries as regards passport No. baggage tag No. Fligh No. etc, etc."
Desventajas: "WE received an email from AIR INDIA that our connecting Flight AI 174 from New Delhi to Bengaluru has been cancelled due to operational reasons. The new connecting flight is AI 1174 from New Delhi to Bengaluru. 2. While checking in at Chicago we were issued Transfer boarding passes for second leg of journey from New Delhi to Bengaluru. It displayed Flight No. AI 174, instead of AI 1174. When this was brought to the notice of the official at the counter at Chicago airport he told in their computer there is no change. The baggage tags also displayed AI 174. 3. After alighting at New Delhi and going through all the hell when we checked in at domestic transfer desk, the official observed that out Transfer Boarding passes for Delhi-Bengaluru sector is for AI 174 and the luggage ( four bags) also contained the same flight number AI 174. 4, we were told we will now be issued new boarding passes for AI 1774 as domestic passengers. SIMILARLY, new baggage tags were placed on luggage. There we were also told that AI 174 a San Francisco to Bengaluru Flight via New Delhi is not cancelled and it is only delayed, Had we not been misguided at Delhi, we could have simply boarded AI 174 at Delhi and the luggage also could have reached Bengaluru in the same flight without we going through the procedure of baggage retrieval process at Delhi as it was along with other passengers luggage already kept AT DELHI AIRPORT departure terminal for uploading in AI 174. It is our humble suggestion that even by mistake if passengers go through emmigration procedures at one airport instead of the next port of destination, system should be in place to take care of the same by MARKING the person to again go through the emmigration procedure at the final destination.."

Desventajas: "The flight was overbooked. I paid extra for a window seat but someone else was also booked in that seat, so I was forced to move to an aisle seat in the middle. I will be asking for a refund for the upgrade. Not only was I denied the window seat, but the seat I was moved to had a broken screen."

Desventajas: "The people working at the counter were very rude. The plane kept delaying. My flight got delayed til 530pm and I got the notification at 618pm. The plane was suppose to take off at 230pm and didn’t take off til 834pm. I missed my connecting flight. There was no accommodation for the people flying."

Tried reporting this to the crew member and he just laughed indicating that the passengers on Air India dont deserve entertainment system. I have traveled twice in AI and both the times it didnt work. Even if you are getting some other mid eastern airways for additional price, please chose that rather than Air India."

Desventajas: "The general condition of the aircraft. It was in disrepair and worn. Seats were uncomfortable. Audio/video was inoperative and staff could not fix it. Food was tolerable with a definite decline in quality."

Ventajas: "The only thing good about Air India today was that they were on time. As far as Business Class goes, there airplanes needed an update 10 years ago, and I'm still waiting. From Chicago, they are the only non-stop flight to Delhi, so there is little incentive for them to upgrade."

Desventajas: "Awful service! The air hosts/hostesses don't care about you if you traveling economy. This was a 16 hour flight but they didn't even offer water for 6-7 hours. I used my attendant button at least 12 times and no one came to my seat. I had to hunt them down and found all of them holed up in the back of the plan gossiping and laughing. Adding to this, their entertainment systems were faulty and didn't work half of the time I was on the plane. The sound quality may have been alright but the headphones that they provided gave a really muffled sound so it was really hard to understand. I tried to use my personal headphones but the entertainment system would only allow for Air India's "special" headphones. The food was mediocre and they served their meals in spurts. Within the first two hours of the plane taking off, they served us one meal. Then there was no food or water service for at least 8 more hours. Then they gave us a meal 4 hours before we were supposed to land and then again a heavy snack an hour later. So basically, we were left to fend for ourselves for 8 hours with no food or water. I am dreading the journey back from Delhi to Chicago now."
Desventajas: "Worst food I’ve ever had, highly salty and tasteless. And seats were literally falling apart. Even in upright position, they were reclining all the way under the weight of average passengers."

That did not happen so after waiting for another 2 hours into the flight, I spoke to another attendant who did reset the entertainment system. It did not work. Brought it to her attention and the response I got was, "Sorry, the flight is full and there is no other seat available". I had to sit through 14 hour long journey looking at other passengers or hear babies cry non-stop !"

It was worst , No comments for food .."
Desventajas: "Very poorly managed boarding process after 7 hour delay. The business class seats were outdated and very poor inflight entertainment. On the positive side the crew were nice and hospitable."
