Checked the route through Brisbane, and those flights we're all there, departed and landed all on-time... so wondering what the reason was for the change of the itinerary without a cause (no cancel or delayed flights through Brisbane)"

Desventajas: "It took forever to board in Sydney with all passengers standing and waiting for 45 minutes and never being told what was going on. I resented having my passport and ticket demanded at least 4 times. A bit overkill and a power trip by security. Absolutely despise airport security...there is no uniformity."

Ventajas: "The flight crew from the mel to lax route were excellent. One was especially attentive to my 2 toddlers and gave me a bit of a break, something that has NEVER happened in over 40 flights traveling with children."
Desventajas: "I think something was broken in our section (mel to lax) as it was uncomfortably hot and the flight crew tried to get it cooler but could not. I’ve never experienced a flight that was too hot, usually the opposite. It was stifling."

We were checking in with our infant daughter and it took 50 minutes to check in with a senior person helping the check in person and phone calls to their technical assistance. We were told an infant is difficult in their system, and our dual national daughter was another layer of complication."

Ventajas: "The crew was friendly and professional, the food was good and offered frequently due to the long flight time (10.5 hours). The plane was comfortable even though nearly full. Overall, it was a good experience and I would definitely fly with Virgin Atlantic again."

Desventajas: "During my flight from LAX to LHR I requested (pre-booked) a special meal (Asian Vegetarian). During the flight I was told there was no such request in their records and therefore I had to stay hungry for the entire duration of the flight. During my return flight from LHR to LAX the in flight entertainment system for my seat was not functional. I requested it to be reset several times and in spite of the hostess resetting it several times, it did not function. I had to stay without an entertainment system during the entire flight. This was my first time travel with Virgin Atlantic. I may never fly Virgin Atlantic again."

Desventajas: "Vera the entertainment screen was very good but there were no newly released movies, everything seemed to be a couple of months old... the leather headrest was comfortable but kept slipping down to behind my neck, would be nice if it was lockable in position.."

Ventajas: "I wish I knew the name of the crew on this flight so that credit is given where it's due. A female steward was incredibly kind to me. She allowed me space to cry in the back of the aircraft, and also gave me her personal tissues. Her care is the only reason I'd give this flight an 'okay.'"
Desventajas: "Unlike the incredibly kind woman, another woman on the crew was incredibly rude to me and to other passengers on the plane. She was very obviously annoyed with nearly everything on that flight. The restrooms were beyond disgusting. I have never flown on a flight with a restroom that awful; it smelled horrible and was filthy. It was reminiscent of a portable outhouse, no exaggeration. The pillow on my seat had makeup on it."

Desventajas: "You lost our luggage. We were able to pick up our luggage after the Sydney flight, but they never made it to Minneapolis. What I don't understand is why we were not able to get boarding passes and seat assignments when we did our check-in in Sydney? Why is that so hard? Also, when we were getting our boarding pass in LAX it was so confusing when it asked for checked bags. Our bags were already on a belt going to who knows where - were we supposed to check "yes"? If we had a boarding pass this would not have been an issue."

Need better maintenance."

Desventajas: "El trato de una aeromoza, quien me tomó del brazo bruscamente cuando me dirigía al baño. Y me gritó diciendo que regrese a mi sitio que el vuelo estaba atrasado y debíamos despegar. Sin enbargo, no de habia anunciado aun que ya estabamos por despegar."

Ventajas: "excepto el control de seguridad que había poco personal, el resto bien."

Ventajas: "I liked that there was a smaller airplane on LED - HEL route: it gives more "feeling of flying" than the bigger planes do."
Desventajas: "I didn't like the fact that it was not indicated in advance (when the tickets are sold) that LED - HEL route is operated by a different airline, even though that airline is a Finnair's partner. It would have been better to have a complete information up front. But the airplane and crew were excellent."

Desventajas: "The flight from India was delayed and as a consequence I missed my connecting flight to Miami. I had to put up in a Hotel at Helsinki and take a flight to Miami the next day via London."

Desventajas: "They have no charging points for the phone"

Ventajas: "The airplane is great. So much leg space!"

Ventajas: "Great service, good legroom, huge screens for entertainment, and nice Marimekko designed blankets and other items. Overall a very nice experience"

Ventajas: "The general entertainment/informative systems ran perfectly smooth without hiccups! Cabin crews were all pleasant to everyone onboard and I didn't feel as tiring after my 10.5 hours flying time as compared with other airlines!"
Desventajas: "The pre-booked in-flight WIFI service can hardly say it's working as the connection speed was way too slow to perform any general tasks and that's ashamed as I paid premium charges for that and didn't expect that I couldn't use the service at last"

Ventajas: "Being on time, crew was helpful, entertainment nice. The 30 min layover between JFK-HEL and HEL-SVO was perfectly organized, the gates were next to each other."

Ventajas: "Pilots did a great job at Helsinki. There were a strong wind and rain. Crew was really sweet."
Desventajas: "There was a confusion with boarding passes in Helsinki. Some of passengers were waiting almost until beginning of boarding with no seat number. Also was a delay because they're waiting for a some passenger from a connecting flight . Seats haven't enough leg room for person 5"8 but crew and food was amazing."

Ventajas: "Great gate and in-cabin crew. LOVED this flight."
Desventajas: "Nothing to report"

Ventajas: "Despite leaving 5 hours late we arrived only 3.5 hours late so cheers to the pilot."
Desventajas: "Flight from dublin was delayed about an hour. Flight from Helsinki to Chicago was delayed almost 5 hours and all they gave us were 8 euro in vouchers which isn't even enough to eat at the airport. Communication on delays was poor and staff was not helpful."

Ventajas: "The flight to and from Los Angeles was operated by British Airways and was on one of their Airbus fleet. Boarding was completed efficiently and with ease. I sat on the upper deck and was very comfortable in comparison to other major airlines previously used for this particular flight. The plane was very clean and the crew were outstanding. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble for crew, and they were ready with beverages, including tea and coffee, and snacks throughout the flight. In flight entertainment was good. All in all very pleasant flight to and from the U K."

Ventajas: "Good customer service, top notch on all aspects. Very attentive staff.."
Desventajas: "2 hours late to leave but part of wing flap needed to be repaired before flight"

Ventajas: "The economy seating was relatively comfortable and spacious, compared to some other airlines, and we boarded and departed on time. Boarding was quick, if chaotic."
Desventajas: "They gave us ipads to watch movies, which were old and didn't work well, but were difficult to hold if you also got a tray or a drink. They didn't give you much water and it was hard to get service. The airplane itself looked pretty old and a little run-down."

Ventajas: "It was a British Airways flight, plane was large, and felt more roomy than what I'm used to. The service was impeccable."

Desventajas: "I couldn't check in on time as the booking numbers were different on the actual company that was flying me. I was trying to do this on my phone and I had to call in each time. couldn't do it on the computer."

Desventajas: "Trash everywhere on the plan by mid flight.... Broken tv screen"

Desventajas: "We were unable to find a row of seats to more comfortably facilitate traveling with a baby and a toddler as seats that should have had a cot or extra seating didn't have the cot and were sold out for an additional fee before we had the chance to. Discussing this with the staff at check0in and at the gate, made no difference as they had no knowledge of what was available on that particular flight. Every time I fly with American I'm reminded of why I don't like the airline and I will do my best to avoid them moving forward regardless of competitive ticket pricing."

Ventajas: "The fact that I got home in one piece I really like."
Desventajas: "Planes are old, small tv screens in aisles, older seats and headrests. I had requested Gluten Free meals and on the way to Amsterdam they did okay (besides the snacks). On the way back they didn't even offer me the second meal GF, I had to ask another flight attendant who went looking for it and found one.. so it was there, they just hadn't bothered to look for it. I also never understand why you wouldn't start boarding with the last rows? Is that just me? The aisles are always so crowded when the last rows walk in and there's always a line."

Ventajas: "It was a quick, smooth flight."
Desventajas: "The chicken for dinner was horrible. The call buttons for assistance sounded constantly the entire flight.. Not sure if it was a malfunction."

Ventajas: "I booked the seats with extra room - really glad I did. The food wasn't bad, the entertainment system worked. I definitely prefer the Virgin Atlantic entertainment system, but I fly AA fairly often and will continue to."
Desventajas: "The airport check-in was absolutely terrible. We were in line so long that an employee came up to us and said "I can't believe you're still here." Neither could I. We get to the airport at least three hours early because of stuff like this, but the incredibly slow line and unorganized way of handling it ate any of the time I'd looked so forward spending at Heathrow (I love hitting Boots etc)."

Desventajas: "Had to use a shoe horn to get into and out of my seat and I'm not a large guy. But really my harsh criticism comes from the loss of my girlfriends luggage. It was left behind in Paris on our way to Casablanca causing us to waste a day in Casablanca traveling back to the airport the grab the bag the next day. And to add injury to insult her bag was left behind in JFK during our transfer for our flight to Seattle. No big deal right, Delta will deliver the bag to our house the next day, wrong, we were told we have to go to the airport ourselves to get the bag."

Ventajas: "The seats were spacious and the crew was wonderful. The crew actually made the long flight more tolerable. Will seek out Delta/Air France for further international flights."

Desventajas: "When I purchased my flight ticket , I purchased with a checked bag (23 kg /50 #) how ever ( who will fly to Ukraine with a 10kg suitcase) I booked for a KLM flight , they used (partener airlines ) when I arrived to LA I flew with Delta , they checked my Suitcase at no cost all the way to my final destinations , that was expected ! When I was going to return , they made me payed 120 dollars ( in Kiev , Ukraine (UIA) , I was very disappointed and I really will love an explanation about all this !"
