Desventajas: "I received more updates on delay, gate changes and expected departure time from Kayak by text messages than from the airline. There were regular gate area updates. Passengers were not given any 'make-up' benefits for the 6-hour delay, like access to pay movies or discounted pay for snacks. I don't favor free booze. Even the meal was crappy, not that the crew could change loaded meals. Passengers felt like the delay was not big deal to the airline and crew."

Desventajas: "You have the odacity to charge for entertainment on a trans-pacific flight. Your crew members did a poor job of redirecting the travelers-- they were constantly ignoring the seatbelt sign and were standing during landing."
Ventajas: "The crew, as on most of my Hawaiian flights were very pleasant and accommodating. The seating on their airlines are generally very comfortable and spacious."
Desventajas: "I had selected an aisle seat when I booked the flight and was moved to a center seat without my knowledge. When I made this known to the attendant, she left to check to see if they could move me, later returned to tell me that because I was already seated they couldn't move me, though I had made it known to her prior to taking my seat. Most Hawaiian flights have in flight movies and power ports, this particular flight had neither."
Ventajas: "Plane got turned around after 3 hours in plane. Had to change 2 flights, my rental car reservation, 2 doctor appointments with no sympathy or even care from Hawaiian airlines. Spent hundreds of dollars and got no compensation. Not happy and will never book again."

Check in, boarding, and general smoothness of the flight was great in comparison to other domestic airlines. Will always fly Hawaiian if the prices stay affordable!"

MY travel plans were canceled and l tried thru KAYAK and Quantas to cancel this flight and was not able to confirm cancelation but still received flight boarding. l tried to get refunded thru Kayak and that has been horrible long unreasolved task now l am trying to go thru Credit card. with this Covid changing world, airlines and travel companies should be refundable especially since this is a Australian airlines. l am about to lose $1000.00.

Ventajas: "Qantas is a quality airline and provided us with better service than most USA airlines that we typically fly for about the same pricepoint. We were very impressed by the quality of service, the meal and entertainment offerings- it was a nice memory of how flying with USA airlines used to be in the good ol days. We flew economy so nothing special was added to our basic service."
Desventajas: "All was good, would fly them again should we need to travel their routes again. We flew 2 international flights and 4 domestic (within Australia) flights during our stay in Australia and had great experiences on all the flights."

Ventajas: "The way your seats reclined: back/head your typical recline but add your seats bottom sliding forward. Best sleep I have ever had while in International economy. Sadly our plane to Australia from Los Angeles did not have the same seats. Entertainment selection excellent ! Great line up of brand new and older movies. I was able to use my noise cancelling headphones in your jack which was a big plus."
Desventajas: "Paying an extra $30-35 just to choose a seat. Enjoyed sitting in the back of the plane however meal selection was terrible as the front of the plane always fed first so by the one it was our turn there was only one option - terrible “southern chicken” Or the Greek Inlet Which was just ok."

Desventajas: "It is frustrating that most airlines never leave on time anymore. They should be required to pay each passenger $50 for every 15 minutes they are late. It's also terrible that seats have become so cramped. My biggest fear is to drop something at my feet because then I can never reach it. Sigh."
Ventajas: "The crew take time to talk to you, and everyone of them has a smile. The in flight meals were great, not typical airline TV dinners. They were good meals. The entertainment selection is outstanding, especially for a 14-hour flight. power outlets work, and they even have snacks in the galley area like Lufthansa so if you need a soft drink, coffee or candy...it is there all during the flight. A long flight could not be made easier"

Desventajas: "I had ordered a special meal which was never delivered. I also don't like the weight restriction for carryon luggage. I got from the US to Australia without my luggage weighted and carried it on, but on my return to the US was told I had to check it. DO NOT like checking luggage."

Ventajas: "The Qantas staff in both LAX and MEL were polite, helpful, and professional. No problems checking in, online or at the airport. Flights were punctual and aside from major delays, went as planned. The kindness and responsiveness of the crew made the flight more bearable. What can I say? Everything went very smoothly. To me, a sign of competent management and good work ethic among Qantas employees. Very impressed. Good job Aussies!"

Ventajas: "The in-flight entertainment was packed full of recent big movies. I was travelling with my partner on separate tickets due to us having different final destinations. The Qantas staff was able to re-arrange our seats together for the long flight over the Pacific. We also got to celebrate New Year's twice, since we crossed the International Dateline."
Desventajas: "I was not a fan of the A380 prior to my flight, and was even less of a fan after. The boarding in Melbourne was chaotic- for some unexplained reason, Qantas felt the need to quarantine the seating area around the gate. This led to a minor stampede as all 5,000 passengers thought the flight was boarding. The Qantas staff at Melbourne, from the check-in desks, to the boarding crew were all apparently over-whelmed. It wasn't any better upon arrival at LAX- the baggage area was chaos as our arrival apparently caught the LAX baggage handlers by surprise. I had a four-hour layover in LAX, yet still managed to miss my connecting flight after an excessive delay getting our checked bags, the line through customs, and rechecking in through the TSA - and that was WITH an expedited screening pass."
Ventajas: "registration was easy and well organized. Kosher food was perfect and served timely. Crew was polite and helping immediately. Everything was comfortable, except the quality of earphones ."
Desventajas: "The food was terrible. By the time the meal cart came to ou row, all the got meals was out and we have no choice and was served with the cold ham salad that looks like left overs, both my son and I lost our appetite looking at it. The crew didn't apologize and gave the impression that we either take it or too bad. Won't be recommending this airline."

Desventajas: "I've flown a lot over the years and been on some long flights but this was beyond bad as far as comfort. When the people in front of us layed their seats down we could not even move and when meals were served the flight attendants had to ask the passengers in front of us to please put their seats up so that they could serve us food. Then when the service was over the people layed their seats right down...they were literally in our laps."
Ventajas: "They made us sit in the plane for close to 4 hours without any food. I almost passed out as the plane was so warm (AC broken) and they didn't give us anything except a small cup of water. The delayed made me miss my connection which couldn't be rearranged."
Desventajas: "Good was awful but I appreciated that they had gluten free options."
Ventajas: "I liked flying with Qantas, crew service was okay, food was okay, however, ticketing agents were very helpful during both departure and arrival."

The cabin looks very attractive because of its colors. The Tahitian music is relaxing. It is also nice to see the crew with a Tahitian outfit, Tahitian pearls... You kind of travel without going to Tahiti! The crew is always very pleasant. The food is better than with any American airline."
