Ventajas: "Estoy molesta porque nos cancelaron el vuelo y ya teníamos reservado habitación en Oporto. Perdí el hospedaje €32. Nos asignaron en una nueva aerolínea KLN, donde corrimos para no perder el vuelo ya que tenía 15 minutos para abordar mi madre de 65 años y yo. Corrí en buscar las maletas ya registradas y hacer el procedimiento de check in y pierda de abordar para legar a tiempo. Gracias a Dios no perdimos el vuelo. Pero KLN nos indicaron que ellos no sabían de la cancelación y que no se hacían responsables del hospedaje. Al buscar en el aeropuerto de Holanda TAP AIR PORTUGAL no se hizo responsable. Por lo tanto pague una noche extra €45. Mas el servicio de taxi. En fin. Solo espero que me ayuden con la devolución de una noche por medio de TAP AIR PORTUGAL."

Desventajas: "I had two flights that day: TAP Portugal: greeters, assistance loading carry-on, fish with potatoes and spinach, glass of wine, pudding, sandwich, carrot cake bite, coffee and a blanket. Jet Blue: water three hours in, (unhealthy) bag of chips."

Desventajas: "Our flight in Lisbon was scheduled to board an hour before departure. We arrived on-time, went through the line and were then placed in a standing room only area to stand and wait for another 45 minutes before boarding. We were placed near the entrance (I thought to board early as a family) but were later told to join another line when we asked why we sere just standing and waiting while other passengers were walking past us. The communication between staff and between your staff and passengers was poor."

Desventajas: "como em todas as companhias aereas na aeronave de tamanho medio para distancias curtas, a configuracao na classe executiva é 3 assentos por fila dos quais apenas 2 sao ocupados. isto nao dá para entender pois o conforto é muito ruim. a distancia entre assentos é pior do que em qualquer voo a longa distancia na classe economica plus. so viajei na classe executiva pois foi a conexao de um voo do Brasil para Portugal. senao seria absolutamente desnessario pagar a grande diferenca de preco para receber um beneficio muito pequeno."

Desventajas: "a configuracao dos assentos na classe executiva desta aeronave sao 3 x 2 assentos, e os assentos nao recuam para uma posicao totalmente horizontal. isto foi um problema para mim pois durmo de barriga para baixo e nao foi possivel achar uma posicao confortavel para dormir. o sistema de entretenimento nao permite assistir e parar a qualquer hora desejada, o que nao foi problema pois o voo é de apenas 8 horas e depois do jantar ja deitei."

The flight attendants looked miserable, but were trying their best given the circumstances. The airplane was outdated, the seats not comfortable, and no in flight entertainment. SATA/Air Azores has a monopoly on the flights in and out of the Azores to the USA and no other airlines are allowed to flight that route. They should be ashamed of themselves by the way they run this airline and treat the passengers."

No entertainment visible from our seats and the headphones didn't work. Flight from BOS was much of the same. NEVER FLYING SATA AGAIN!"

Ventajas: "I guess I liked that my flight was only delayed for 1 day rather than 3-4 like other people!"
Desventajas: "We arrived at Logan airport to find a mass of people waiting to check in for the flight. Turns out, Azores Airlines flights had been being cancelled all week and many people had been stranded in Boston (and likewise in the Azores) for days. The local news was even filming a story about the mess while we were there. The monitors above the check in desks did not have any information and there didn't really appear to be a line. No employees were around to explain what was going on. Eventually an announcement was made that our flight was cancelled and to come back the next day. Still no info on the monitors at the airline desks or on the main airport arrivals and departures board, which continued to show the flight as on time the duration of our time at the airport. I had the app on my phone which also showed the flight as being on time. After the cancellation announcement people stayed in line to get hotel vouchers, but since my husband and I live in Boston we weren't sure if there was another part of the process to get new tickets issued or something. After waiting a long time in which the line never moved I was eventually able to check in with an employee who said we didn't need to do anything, just come back tomorrow. When we got home we were able to catch the news broadcast mentioned earlier in which passengers from the earlier flights were explaining how they kept being told to come back to the airport day after day and nothing happened, so I wasn't reassured! The next day we arrived at Logan and things started out smoothly. We were able to check in and get through security. The flight got delayed a few times after that. Boarding was a mess. People started lining up. While we waited, we noticed people at the gate desk in line. It turned out to be people getting reimbursed for their taxis. There was no announcement made and I think this delayed things further since they didn't start this until boarding was starting despite having had hours to do this prior! After people were already lined up to board it was announced that they would board by "sequence number" on the ticket so we stepped out of line only to have them not check numbers at all. In the end we took off about 26 hours after we were supposed to. The flight itself was a sort of charter flight, the airline basically rented a plane and crew to get us over to the Azores. However, we did take the Azores Airline flight back so I know the food would have been mediocre and there wouldn't be in seat entertainment. I would love to return to the Azores but I'm not sure I would unless Azores Airlines steps up their game! Definitely get trip interruption insurance! We were thankfully able to get reimbursed for accommodations and rental car missed days."

Ventajas: "Honestly, they had the best plane food I've had in a while. Flight very comfortable and uneventful, they even gave us blankets and pillows."

Desventajas: "Because we didn't get the required boarding passes in Barcelona (and didn't know we needed them) when we got to the Azores we had to run around through additional passport control, to the ticket desk because the gate agent had no means of issuing a boarding pass, back through security, through more passport control. Stupid. The plane itself was really uncomfortable, and being stuck in the tiny seats surrounded by screaming children, with no wifi or in-flight entertainment was torture."

Desventajas: "Service. Food. And the return was worse - they cancelled two consecutive flights with no notice, causing us to stay three extra days, incur connection fees, other costs, and they could care less. Wound up flying to Lisbon on Ryanair. SATA says no refund. Worst airline in the world. We would never go back to Azores, thanks to them."

Desventajas: "- The one hour delay from Boston to Delgada one week earlier - The FOUR hour delay from Delgada on 6/21/17 - The personnel at the airport were not very helpful in communicating why the flight was late, nor what the accurate time for the next flight would occur - The fact that NO ONE apologized for this tremendous inconvenience until we landed in Boston and ONE flight attendant said "sorry for the delay"...... - The fact that there was NO attempt to make this delay right...... - Unfortunately, your online presence is horrible and will get worse because of this. Eight hours of actual round-trip flight time should not have to come with 5 hours of delays! Especially since it was perfect weather throughout! Very very disappointed in the entire trip."

Ventajas: "The plane seemed mostly empty, so I had a row of seats to myself, but the armrests didn't really go up all the way, so I couldn't lay down. The crew overall seemed attentive. Look, the plane departed and arrived more or less on time, which is all I really care about. All of the creature comforts people complain about pale in comparison to the miracle of mass transportation by airplane for a good price."
Desventajas: "The boarding process was rough. We were kept waiting in a hot bus until the plane was ready for at least twenty minutes. The entertainment was shoddy, an Ice Age sequel on a small screen several rows away with terrible sound quality."

When the guy in front of me reclined his seat, his head was practically in my lap. Some tray tables were broken. The planes seem old. But it's the only airline that flies to the Azores from the U.S., I believe, so this is the only option. They also very slow, and we left late to and from the Azores."

Ventajas: "Happy for the incoming Barcelona passengers to make this flight. Ticket agent told us how to snag a couple of free seats, once everyone on board, so we could stretch out for 5 hr. flight. They serve brewed tea!"

Desventajas: "Seats are crammed in to the max. Fine if you have extraordinarily short legs. No entertainment. Main cabin screen was off the entire flight."

Desventajas: "Did not mind that there was no movie etc. We didn't even accept the earphones. The food and Azores cookies were not very good. Be forewarned! LIS airport is not very user friendly. Often had to take and wait for buses to transfer from one area to another and up/down stairs ways. Consider checking your bags!"

Bem, uma companhia destas deve ter muito cuidado com a escolha do pessoal pois eles sao a cara da companhia em terra."

Desventajas: "Everything. This airline is the bare minimum. No TV's, no WIFI, uncomfortable seats, no leg room, NO AIR VENT, narrow isles, unfriendly flight attendants... Should I continue? There are no amenities with this airline. It's like stepping back in time... Worst airline I have ever flown!"

Ventajas: "The plane wasn't full. Got lucky with a row of empty seats"
