Hubo un retraso al salir de Lima y casi pierdo mi vuelo de conexión por ese motivo.

En el embarque no hay contacto con personal por ser automatizado que acelera el trámite evitando posibles retrasos, intervienen para solucionar problemas. El vuelo operó en horario."

Desventajas: "15 hours before the flight, I was locked out from the website to check in and secure seats. I then called British airways to do so and after 15 min of the agent trying to get seats, she told me that there was a shutdown and no passengers were able to do so and everyone had to book seats at airport. When I got to Heathrow, the agent told me that was not true and everyone was able to book online.. Misleading!"

Desventajas: "Last on board no cargo space..Sears are not great. Passenger behind my wife was pounding on the video games I the entertainment system the whole flight."

Desventajas: "The gentlemen in front of me kept his seat reclined through the whole trip, making my space quite cramped. I know this can't be helped, but it does make the space a bit claustrophobic."

Desventajas: "Main course of chicken and rice was clearly on the small size for a 10+ hour flight. The chicken was in some vague sweet and sour sauce. It was a good thing that I had bought sandwiches before boarding. Return flight LHR to LAX was on BA and the main course of chicken and mashed potatoes was substantially larger and tastier."
Ventajas: "The only thing I liked was the ice cream that was served on the flight. And the Kerry Gold butter."
Desventajas: "What didn't I like? I didn't like that I bought a ticket from Finnair, got emails from Finnair, for some reason couldn't check in early on the Finnair website, arrived at the airport, waited in the absurdly long check-in line for Finnair only to find out that they had no record of me and I wasn't flying Finnair. Actually, I was on an American Airlines flight."
Desventajas: "Very narrow aisle that made it very hard to navigate carrying my daughter's car seat"
Ventajas: "courteous and helpful crew, easy calm and efficient boarding process, with a announcer who spoke CLEARLY, slowly and loud enough to hear, more comfortable plane than the AA plane I took to get to Paris."
Desventajas: "In flight entertainment really inferior to other airlines, food mediocre, but adequate. But good service is paramount and your crew was good despite many challenging customers."
Desventajas: "Boarding was chaotic. Pre boading not enforced, all passengers boarding at the same."

Me cancelaron el vuelo por el tema de la pandemia. Pero la aerolínea ICELANDAIR me cambió el vuelo para otro país.

Ventajas: "When I booked my Economy Light fare from Denver to Paris, I was expecting a trying experience. But to the contrary, I found the entire trip to Paris and back enjoyable. I found the boarding quick and efficient, plus the flight attendants were genuinely friendly and helpful."
Desventajas: "Short answer: Nothing. Icelandair is my new favorite low-cost airline for trips to Europe."
Ventajas: "Crew was very helpful and friendly, and we were greeted with a bottle of water for the flight. Entertainment is nice with free movies, music and Iceland travel video blogs. Water/soda/coffee offered multiple times, and water additional times."
Desventajas: "Boarding was walk-to-outside-stairs, more an airport versus airline thing, in truth the fresh air was nice, just glad it wasn't pouring rain. Seat comfort was barely okay, the 757 seats were basically in contact with my knees, tough for such a long flight. Their 767's are much better. Didn't like paying 60 GBP (pounds, about $75) for 3 sandwich lunches with 3 alcoholic drinks, IcelandAir could do better."

Seems like choosing seats early does not get you said seats with Icelandair. Given the fact that the boarding process was an absolute mess I found it difficult to remain patient. There was no organized line, and only one available boarding agent. Recipe for disaster if you ask me but hey, what do I know. Several agents were present for decorative purposes (?) and telling people that the line was a mess. It is the airline’s duty to organize the boarding process, not the passengers’. Not being served dinner on a 7h+ flight is unacceptable. Food available for purchase was very disappointing in both quality and service. Blankets were not available on this flight while they were on the outbound flight."

Thank goodness the people on the island were wonderful, or this visit would have left us with a bad taste for Iceland."
Desventajas: "Food offerings for 7.5 hour flight very limited, and not complimentary. This was not communicated when I booked the flight (would have considered using a different airline). Entertainment options were limited compared to other airlines' long-distance offerings. Only two beverage service in 8 hours, no complimentary snacks, and each time I wasn't given the entire can of soda, just poured a small glass. Pretty skimpy. My family members who used different airlines got a much more for their money, with similar ticket price. Flight took off late and we did not make up time in the air so we arrived an hour late."
Ventajas: "Very nice staff. Fun movies. Food was fair."
Desventajas: "My wife and I tried to check in the day before but online check in was not working. Next day we were not given seats together, even though our reservations were together. When we complained about this we were given seats that did not have normal foot space. The staff gave us some free drinks to partially make up for this, which made us feel much better."

Desventajas: "There was about 5 hours between the first beverage cart and the last one. I was pretty parched by the time the second one came around."

Desventajas: "USB jack at my seat was broken; my neighbor let me use hers for a bit. Her headphone jack was broken, so I offered to let her use mine, but then she needed to use my TV, so that wasn't ideal either. Many errors using the entertainment system--very laggy and frequent "temporarily unavailable" messages. Also, we were about 40 minutes delayed due to a mechanical issue (discovered once we were all boarded, extending an already lengthy flight)."

Desventajas: "Lack of communication at boarding time about the flight being delayed. Gate area is small and gets congested quickly as there are several flights departing at almost the same time."

Ventajas: "I liked getting off the plane knowing I would never use Icelandair again"
Desventajas: "There was no sense of urgency to get the plane in the air. Our connecting flight was late and we had to rush to the connection flight. When we got on board we then sat on the tarmac for an hour because the fuel truck ran out of gas on its way to fill our plane. The crew seemed to have never worked on an airplane before and the plane needed updates. Food or snacks should be provided on longer flights like other airlines."
Desventajas: "Again, the food is really bad for such a long flight."
Desventajas: "When we arrived in Reykjavik from Munich we had 45 min to make our next flight. We were able to make it to our gate in time but once we got to our gate it was a mad house. The airport is fairly small and Icelandair was trying to board 4 other flights to the states at the same time as ours. We had to push and shove to get to our gate to board. Not sure why they didn't spread out the gates of the boarding planes."

Ventajas: "The child-friendly service is nice as kids get a free meal. The food you can buy is pretty good."
Desventajas: "We were surprised at the lack of communication from the pilot/crew. Our flight was delayed for an hour and there was no announcement about why or what was going on. Usually when you are sitting on the runway for an hour not moving, you have much communication keeping you in the loop as to what is going on."

Ventajas: "I think the planes are clean and a little nicer than what I've recently experienced on US carriers in the past few years. The airport in Iceland was terribly crowded without much seating and the food was terribly expensive. Loved the free entertainment-music and choice of movies. The crew was very professional and love their uniforms."
Desventajas: "The fact we got no food whatsoever unless we purchased it on a 7 hour flight. So glad we ate something at the airport before the flight as we were expecting something-even just a bag of peanuts. For comparison -on the Lufhansa flight from Frankfort to Brussels, which was a very short flight, they handed out snacks."
Ventajas: "The aircraft, especially the restrooms, was very clean. The crew worked very hard to ensure our comfort. The seats were as comfortable as they ever get on a 757. R routing slips through the gift shop between arrival and departure is a good idea . Even those with a short connection get a chance to buy a puffin."
Desventajas: "The terminal at keflavik is under construction this makes arrivals and departures extremely chaotic both on the ramp and in the terminal. The arrangement of gates is so chaotic that it is often very difficult to get to your gate because of large number of passengers waiting in line at their gate."
Ventajas: "WiFi for purchase!"
Ventajas: "Crew was great. Quiet for sleepers, attentive to those in need. Smooth skies, easy fun flight!"
Ventajas: "The previous Icelandair flight from Paris to Reykiavik was late and arrived over an hour after the scheduled departure time for the Reykiavik to Denver segment. We were assured that the flight would wait for the late arrivals, and it did. We were, of course, greatly relieved. I can't help wondering, however, How could a scheduled flight be held up for this long and how would the passengers already on the plane feel."
Desventajas: "Only drinks like water, tea, coffee and juices are served free on Icelandair flights. There is a menu for sandwiches and snacks. But the selection is rather anemic for a 7 hour long flight."
Ventajas: "Crew is great, the plane is very clean and spacious. Best of all, our connecting flights were held so we all could finish our travels. The first leg of the flight had been delayed 2 hours."
Ventajas: "The flight attendants were really really sweet on both flights i took to get to Paris. Good food (I was already aware I woo have to purchase) and enough leg room for my and husband, 6'1", and I, 5'11". Good value for the price."
