This was Avis at puerto Vallarta airport. Regular size car. The line was extremely slow and staff moved very slowly. Took an hour to get the car with only 1 person ahead of me. Price was ok but I declined insurance since my credit card and auto insurance policy cover the car. They insisted on putting a $4200 hold on my credit card in case there was any damage- even a scratch. Crazy. Won’t rent there again.Opinión del 9 jul. 2023

The staff were pretty rude and behaved as though we were inconveniencing them when I asked for a receipt. Car was pretty worn but it got us around just fine. The reason for the review was really just about the staff specifically at check outOpinión del 6 may. 2023

The check-in & drop-off process is a total cluster with zero organization or signage to let anyone, no matter what language, knows what to do. Taking 30+ minutes to pick up a car when I'm an Avis member is insulting. Last time in Puerto Vallarta I rented with Hertz & it was a quick & easy in & out process. The service was incredibly slow. Pick up took over 30 minutes and drop off was longer. The price was quoted in Canadian dollars but charged in American. Overall, very dissatisfied.Opinión del 23 mar. 2023

I opted for the full coverage insurance and was told that the total would be $490. After returning the car, the total was $630. Not only was this place completely dishonest, they couldn't have been in any less of a hurry. Took us over an hour to get checked in and almost an hour to return the car.Opinión del 19 mar. 2023

Overall it was pretty easy. The guys that helped with the inspection and return were professional and friendly. The car was in ok condition, definitely a bit rough around the edges, but it functioned well; the cars do have a hard life down there with the rough roads. The only thing we didn't like is at checkout no paperwork is given. Instead, they check you out, say thank you and that follow-up will be done via email. Paperwork of expected charges would be comforting.Opinión del 17 feb. 2023
