Desventajas: "The food is horrible. Bring your own sandwiches. The flight attendants are very nice, but inexperienced. Our flight had to wait for the fate to clear and passengers got up and started taking their bags down while on an active taxi way. They were walking around while the plane was moving."

Desventajas: "We have a 4 month old and we were the first ones to check in but all bassinet seats were booked. No one was even using them for bassinets. Not sure if they paid extra for those seats to have leg room but we had to hold the baby for 15 hours. They couldn’t do anything for us."

Ventajas: "Check-in and luggage checked-through was orderly and smooth. Flight crew tried their best to accommodate customer requests. Though at times, some answer customer questions in Chinese instead of English. Sufficient food to eat during flight."
Desventajas: "At boarding gate, Ground crew announced changed in boarding gates rather late. Flight was delayed by an hour. Boarding was orderly and smooth though. Not much choice in audio-visual inflight entertainment."

Desventajas: "Service was so so. They are a bit cold. The connecting flight I had to make was too tight - so I had to run to the next gate. Even if in airplane mode, you can not use a phone at all. I've never experienced this on another airline."
Ventajas: "Fast-tracked us through Shanghai airport with a personal handler for a tight connection. He knew all the back routes and which border agent could put us first in line. No problem even though connection was boarding as we were disembarking arrival flight. Lounge at JFK superb."
Desventajas: "No control over air con vents at seat. Plane uncomfortably stuffy for us...asked to turn down temp and they did for awhile."

Desventajas: "Might be cultural, but the boarding was like herding cats -- the seats are assigned! The DutyFree pickup at the gate makes it supper hard to get onboard and still fit your carry-on. Enforce the carry-on and ONE personal item"

Desventajas: "Both our outbound and inbound flights were rescheduled, causing us to lose 2 full days of our 12-day vacation. Because we booked through vayama, we couldn't manage the booking on the CEAIR website or take advantage of the free layover hotel. My partner and I were seated separately."

Desventajas: "They make you take off your headphones and secure all electronic devices before taking off and landing. Even if you are using the headphones for noise reduction they make you take them off until the plane is in the air for 15 minutes. Cellphones in airplane mode cannot be used during the flight at all. Entertainment was lacking tremendously!"

Desventajas: "La tripulación no fue amable conmigo porque yo no sabía hablar chino y ellas no hablan bien inglés. No hacen el menor esfuerzo en ayudarte y ofrecerte algo de comer que no sea esa comida horrorosa! La comida es Terrible! Jamás en mi vida, en ninguna clase o compañía me ofrecieron una comida fan asquerosa. Llevar lonchera!"
Ventajas: "They hid the 13 hour layover in Shanghai. Had to pay expensive hotel, as airport HAS NO WIFI unless you have local phone number (China hates foreigners). Avoid China or book airport hotels in advance!!!!"
Ventajas: "the service was outstanding"
Desventajas: "the temperature control in business class was very poor, it was too hot for the duration of the flight. 2 requests were made to improve and the staff tried, but it was uncomfortable."
Desventajas: "China Eastern airline is the least friendly and irresponsible airline that I have ever used. The crews completely screwed me up on the sequential travel itineraries until the last minute."
Ventajas: "Had to switch off my iPhone so had no music and there was a small child in business class who was very unruly and noisy for much of the early part of the flight I finally ask the stewardess to tell the little kid to shut up it was very annoying and parent should know better and if they don't the crew should tell him"

Desventajas: "- at the time of booking could not select seats or make a meal request. SHANGHAI - ORL was not given any meal at all, because they had nothing vegetarian on plane. A crew member felt bad and offered me his "crew vegetable dish" and it had shrimp. So I could not eat that. On the way back I called vayama as their website was down and made my meal request over the phone. Requested vegan meal, was served something made with egg. Very disappointing"
Desventajas: "Entertainment is limited. Bring your own movies"

Ventajas: "The planes are fairly new and comfortable. No horror stories at all - just China being China with rules and regulations. Good was decent. The price was decimate good but the layovers were a bit long."
Desventajas: "Didn't care for the meals that much."
Ventajas: "Efficient processes and friendly crew once aboard,"
Desventajas: "Long delay in departure, no entertainment, "simple" business class with just bigger seats, limited food and drink; took forever for baggage to appear, boarding and deplaning by stairs not gate."
Desventajas: "NO VEGETARIAN OR VEGAN FOOD OPTIONS. Chicken beef or fish. The entire long plane ride the only thing I could use as a meal was juice."
Ventajas: "Food was very simple but because of that far better than what they served when going from Shanghai to Honolulu."
Desventajas: "Plane does not have personal video systems - felt like I went back in time 10 years. No extra food available outside of the 2 meal services in the very beginning and end of the 12 hour flight. Some crew members spoke extraordinarily poor English, intolerable for a flight to/from the United States."
Ventajas: "I like the seat configuration."
Desventajas: "The food selection was poor, and the food tasted like economy class. For the price of a business class seat, the food should be better. I had to ask for pj's. The first flight was better than the returning flight."

Ventajas: "Great value. Fully flat bed in business class for Dubai - Melbourne return with stops in Kunming and Shanghai very comfortable with a 2/2/2 arrangement. Long transits in Shanghai allowed a quick visit into this dynamic city. Airports at Kunming and Shanghai are modern, efficient. Short term visa on arrival for transit passengers works well. I will definitely fly them again."
Desventajas: "Staff were great but not quietest Cathay/ Emirates level but they really tried hard. I am sure they will get there soon. Wine list was limited and the white wine was warm - though to be fair this is sometimes the case on Qatar Airways too."
