El personal de tierra donde dejas el equipaje era leeento y desagradable , más que en cualquier otra aerolínea que haya usado, y uso unas cuantas al año. El avión era muy viejo con equipamiento obsoleto, no repetiría si tuviese otra opción.
Se demoró más de la cuenta, adentro del avión era un caos. No estuvo buena la ida a Sao Paulo, la vuelta muy bien

Retraso de más de tres horas. No información en absoluto. Pérdida de conexión en Estambul por retraso. Arreglo de otro vuelo sin posibilidad de elección en absoluto. Burocracia eterna para conseguir hotel. Un desastre la forma en la que el personal se relaciona con los pasajeros. Lamentable

Desventajas: "First of all I have tons of complaints regarding the airport at Istanbul. They have a poorly managed airport and it was so crowded. The cafeteria and places to eat around in the airport were horrendously expensive and they didn't have services like wifi(had to buy it for $8 an hour and it sucked) and drinking water. As per Turkish airlines, the staff in the airport were poorly equipped to deal with emergency situations such as snow. I was flying during the snowstorm and wasn't expecting my journey to be easy. But they should have increased their resources to help people out in such cases.Their help desk was crowded with almost 500+ of people all the time and they only had 2 people to answer their queries. Also, the staff couldn't understand English properly and seemed irritated when I was trying to explain things in English. I had to stand an hour on a line to get my temporary visa issued only to be referred to another line (yes! i waited for an hour to get to the desk and was told to go and sit in another effing line). It was also because most of the signs/boards in the area were written in Turkish only and I didn't know what they were saying. I had to pay for my own hotel during my transit because the line for the hotels was almost two miles long. And when I arrived at my destination, both my luggage went missing. The crew on board were nice and helping people. I do not blame my bad travel experience entirely on Turkish airlines however, the airport and airlines both are not prepared to deal with situations that are unexpected. I also realize the snow storm was the main factor behind everything however any airlines that boasts itself to be a top class international airlines should have means and resources to manage(at least try) their passengers and airport during any situation. No matter what I am never flying with Turkish airlines again."

So coming back into the states and thru customs took waaay longer than it should have with those chaotic and ridiculously long lines. I didn't bring my Global Pass card with me and will from now on!"

Paid $120 or so for the second luggage!!!??? After decades flying Austrian I will try switching to your competitors."

Desventajas: "Boarding was chaotic, cramped. Passengers kept lining up only to be sent back to the end of the line after documents were checked three separate times. Only first class passengers were allowed at the gate. Chaotic and frustrating. Not what one would expect of Austrian efficiency!"

Finalmente nos mandaron a un hotel. Al día siguiente el vuelo salió atrasado y hubo nuevamente incertidumbre con las puertas de salida"

Desventajas: "Son tan light con las bebidas que el tipo de al lado seguía pidiendo alcohol y no le ponían un alto, era muy imprudente, molestaba a los pasajeros de al lado y de adelante. Creo que ahí las sobrecargos debieron ponerle un alto en lugar de seguir sirviendole."

En el embarque no hay contacto con personal por ser automatizado que acelera el trámite evitando posibles retrasos, intervienen para solucionar problemas. El vuelo operó en horario."

Ventajas: "El embarque fue en hora y sin inconvenientes. El vuelo salió en horario y llegando a destino en horario. Considerando que es un vuelo de 30 minutos el hecho que economy te sirvan un refrigerio que fue de una oblea dulce y bebidas me parece mas que acceptable."

No nos sirvieron desayuno ni café antes de llegar a destino a la vielta.
La comida podría mejorar la calidad. El plato de pollo con arroz era algo picante y no nos avisaron.

Todo excelente y servicio de primera.
Distancia entre pasajeros muy buena con asientos libres entre cada dos. El entretenimiento a bordo nulo. Accesos wifi pero de pago. Toda la comida de pago.

They couldn't find any record of me having purchased an upgrade when I went to check in on my 5+ hour flight."

Desventajas: "The inability to easily view and choose a special meal is a recurrent issue with SAS - even when contacting the airline directly to rectify this issue, the ball was dropped on the return flight, and the crew scrambled to find a replacement meal. On-line boarding continues to be an issue for Green Card holders returning to the US - why not explain that one cannot pre-print boarding passes and instead must go to boarding pass issues-line as soon as one enters the airport."
Ventajas: "It was the only non-stop flight for our needs. Timing was great too. It was nice to have 2 seats to ourselves."
Desventajas: "Going over our flight was cancelled at the last minute. We paid more for a non-stop flight we did not receive, lost wages because we both worked half-days to accommodate this flight departure time, and lost half a day of our trip. When we did fly on SAS to return, I found the service and amenities lacking. Why serve drinks well before your meal time and then not come back through with drinks again? Overall, it was not the best flight experience."
