El vuelo estuvo excelente. La gente de JAL es muy especial. La próxima vez volveré a volar con ellos.

I had forgotten to reserve a kid's meal for our kids (don't forget, parents) and they went well out of their way to make sure that the kids had food that they would like."

Ventajas: "Seats were comfortable. Food was very good and snacks and drinks were offered frequently. Plenty of entertainment on the in-seat TV consoles. Gave me a pillow and blanket and the seat reclined a bit so I could sleep some. The airline staff were polite and helpful."

Ventajas: "Let's face it - flying b-class is pretty awesome, so for $3300, it was really great. Loved the food selections, though I did feel the food was a little on the heavy side. I had the Japanese fare, which was lighter, but a little more salted than what I prefer - but over all very good. Service was amazing - the crew is super-nice. The plane, a massive 787 jet, absorbed the turbulence like it was nothing. It was like riding in one of those Cadillacs from the 1970's. The lavatories were big enough that I could actually stand up straight (and I'm 6'0"). The seats were pretty good as well - they had a feature for extension of the seating surface to allow for more thigh support (which I love) as well as great lumbar support. the movie selection was OK - neither great nor bad, and I ended up watching 4 movies during the flight anyway. ;)"
Desventajas: "I preface this section by saying that I'm being very nit-picky here - there's not much I can really say, except that the seats, while they will recline to a flat surface, which is great for dozing off, they are angled about 15 degrees so you're constantly sliding down them in that position. Also, there could be more support for your head in the reclined position - I had to futz with pillows and a blanket to get that comfortable. However, the reclined position was the most comfortable, and I could get it so that I was sufficiently reclined with my legs extended and horizontal, while laying back without sliding down. This was sufficient for resting. I'm only mentioning this because I flew a business class flight on Delta in 2015 which had ridiculously amazing seats that reclined all the way flat and horizontal. On the 9-11 hour flight from Tokyo back to San Diego, which will take place mainly at night, this would be a very useful feature."
Ventajas: "This was a very long flight, but the crew was fantastic and attentive. The meals were good and they did everything they could to make us comfortable. The flight was on time and convenient."

Ventajas: "From start to finish, we were amazed by the customer service of Japan Airlines. Altogether we we had a 14-hour day or so of flying with two small children and it could have easily been a 20-hour-or-more day of flying had Japan Airlines not been so great at what they do. We can't say enough about how amazed and blessed we were by their customer service."
Desventajas: "Having to pay for wifi and not having access to power outlets. Everything else was amazing and honestly these minor things were very forgivable given the great entertainment choices that came along with the plan ride and and the amazing customer service."
Ventajas: "Flight crew was very professional and courteous. The food was excellent! It was like eating at an awesome Japanese restaurant! There were toothbrush kits w/small tubes of toothpaste in the bathrooms, which was a nice touch. Bathrooms were very clean. Entertainment was very good and had many choices. Would love to fly them again any chance I get! Probably the best flight experience I've ever had."

Desventajas: "Flight was diverted to another airport and when we finally got to Tokyo, the next flight's gate had closed even though it didn't leave for another two hours. We had to wait in a huge line to get rebooked and it was clear the Japan Airlines employees did not know what they were doing. Put me on a flight next day and couldn't even provide hotels for us (gave us $100 to find our own which was near impossible at that time). I had to sleep in a sleeping bag in the airport overnight by myself."
Ventajas: "Plane was spotlessly clean, smelled nice, bathrooms also very clean and had toothbrushes and toothpaste. I requested the vegetarian meal and it was the best airline food I have ever eaten Flight crew was friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy working for Japan Airlines. I don't see that very often on any domestic US air carriers. I highly recommend Japan Air."
Desventajas: "Headset was too big for me and kept skipping back."
Ventajas: "First time fly with JAL, friendly flight attendants, excellent seat space, would fly with JAL again."

Ventajas: "The seats very comfy. The food is so good. All including flight attendance are very polite people. Overall they are excellent compared to others that I flew with so far for my business trip to other country. Will be my first choice for my next trip!."

Desventajas: "The JAL first-generation 787s don't provide the great legroom that newer planes do, but is still infinitely better than older 767s and 747s."
Ventajas: "We had a 4 hour delay due to maintenance, so many of us missed connecting flights in Tokyo. But the airline put us up in a hotel and gave us meals, so I had a nice bonus day to see the city. The flight itself was very pleasant, with the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen on a long flight and plenty of food and drink."

The food, if such a term may be applied here, was inedible. Just vile. In flight entertainment was a complete joke. Boarding was awful, but it always is. Seats were extremely uncomfortable. This racket is the ultimate way to rip somebody off of $1000. Horrible."

I wish the chairs either didn't do this or the flight attendants would have said something. I didn't feel like I had the authority to do anything about it. Also it was so warm! Desventajas: "I was in a front row seat which meant using my table in the armrest would wake up my neighbor. (Not a big deal but a little awkward) It was also hard to sleep because the seats didn't recline enough."

Inflight WiFi would lose connection when you don't continuously use it, and would sometimes be difficult to reconnect. Food quality could be a bit better. Other than that, it was excellent.
Staff didn't speak much English but were attentive. Not one time was I offered a snack or complimentary drink.
