The boarding process was chaotic at the gate - customs were there to check in but quite a few people were unaware (not many announcements). Also, the Economy boarding process wasn't clear and chaotic (i.e., not by row and you also didn't know when you could board. Also, the person in front of me kept reclining her seat and it went back too far. I didn't want to do the same to the person behind me so it was quite uncomfortable."

Desventajas: "There was no climate control. Our rows were freezing cold. People were wearing coats and blankets. Four or five rows up it was warm. My husband asked for more heat and the stewardess said she would turn it up, but nothing happened. Cold air blew out of the ceiling vents for the entire flight. When we reached our gate, we then waited in a long line to have our passports and boarding passes checked again. There were several Swissair crew members, but only one person to check all of the paperwork for economy. Then another long line to show our boarding passes again, while the business class entrance remained unused. Swissair needs someone to manage this better."

Ventajas: "Checki-in via mobile app was easy, as was baggage dropoff at the airport. Both airport staff and flight crew were efficient, courteous, and friendly. Excellent service, good good, nice selection of entertainment."

Desventajas: "I wish the dinner service flying from JFK to ZH could be made sooner in the trip to allow more lights out time to relax and try to sleep. I wish all the movies had subtitles so I could read rather than have to deal with the head phones and the bad quality sound they produce."

Ventajas: "The crew on Swiss Air is very welcoming. The food was pretty good and there was frequent beverage service, so you don't get dehydrated like on other airlines."
Desventajas: "The seats decline fairly far back into the next seat. As a result, some of the passengers got agitated if they do not go with the flow and decline like dominoes. Both legs of the flight we had the people seated behind us kicking and shoving our seats. One gentleman was kicking my seat for a couple hours and made a scene on the outgoing flight. The stewardess addressed the gentleman and explained that I had to decline my seat because the seat in front of me was declined. My knees were jammed into the seat in front of me, so every time the gentleman kicked me, it not only hurt my back, but my knees. The couple behind us on the return flight jumped the line to get onto the flight, kept kicking our seats and then pretended they did not understand when we asked that they stop. I think the pilot should address the issue upfront so this toddler like behavior does not go on. I am not sure if it is common behavior, but not something I have experienced on an American carrier."

Also, my wife and I usually take our tea with honey vs. milk and sugar. Even though honey is usually one of the options for tea, she found a way to accommodate our request. The lunch meals were the best I can remember in a long time on an airline flight. They might have been the best I've ever had. The chicken curry was authentic, flavorful and spicy. Frankly my outbound flight had problems. My luggage got damaged. The transfer experience in Manchester left a LOT to be desired. I wasn't planning to use Virgin Atlantic again, but this flight crew (Daniella especially) redeemed Virgin Atlantic. They were attentive, pleasant, diligent."
Desventajas: "Only thing I didn't like about this flight was the boarding area. Once you get into that the area, you don't really have access to appetizing food (only vending machines) or even restrooms. That's one thing that could be improved."

Desventajas: "Once In London, we were told by British Airways that was flying us to Nice that Delta had “lost” our infant electronic ticket - It took 1.5h to get new ticket reissued! We missed our connection and had to wait 3 more hours for the next flight - We were somewhat lucky as multiple flights were delayed/cancelled that day - I will avoid using Virgin Atlantic in the future as they need Delta and British operate their flights and this makes it prone to issues like that"

Desventajas: "Entertainment systems take up foot/bag space underneath the seats. Was not able to get more than one glass of wine, even though I missed the first beverage service, that is my fault though, but I don't recall it being an issue getting a drink between services. Entertainment systems had contrast issues and it seemed like a lot of people 8 - 10 had issues since they were using iPads instead of the built in monitors. A lot of wear showing on the entertainment systems remotes."

I had teriyaki chicken with rice and I left it. Big dislike - when I was checking in online I found some economy seats I couldn't allocate for my seating due to additional charge applies. I think this is very off putting as I have been a Virgin member for years and it is very disappointing."

Desventajas: "Getting to our connection was awful. Prescreening getting into the US was terrible. Got selected for special screening and the officers said the gate knew we were held up there. Only had one hour to reach connection. Lost an immense amount of time getting swabbed and patted down. The gate was closed when we arrived. Had to run to the gate. By accident we found out the gate was closed from someone who happened to hear word that we were looking for the gate to JFK. Almost didn’t get on the flight. If we didn’t run who knows if we would have made it. If you are only giving people an hour to get to their connection, then don’t let them get held up for 40 minutes. It’s idiotic."

Desventajas: "This flight combination was a tough one, yet it did, in the end come together. The meal(s) were good enough (but not better than), though the stews could spend precious little time with any given passenger. Oh, the meal choices ran our such that we had a 1 choice choice. Odd. Though we got across the Atlantic pretty fast, the turbulence the pilots were unable/unwilling to evade was pretty frightening..."

Ventajas: "There waa great variety in the entertainment feature."
Desventajas: "Boarding was absolutely chaotic. There was one call for priority members, and then a call for all remaining rows, stressing that it was final call. This caused a large crowd to rush to the gate and then disorganization when on the plane. Historically, its been much more efficient when you call batches of rows, which clearly prevents overcrowding and allows people more room to stow away carry on bags. Also, i was very disappointed by the food options. As a vegetarian, i had no manageable option because i hadnt preordered. I had no wifi during the days before the flight, i couldnt get online to do it. I find it surprising that you dont at least provide a meatless option, or at least stow away a few extra vegetarian meals. Also, i have never seen that option during booking, nor have i ever recieved an email to consider meal options. Overall, the accessability of meatless food is extremely disappointing."

Ventajas: "Everything about our flights to and from Ireland was fantastic! The crew was curtious and friendly, the service and food was terrific and the flight departed and arrived on time."

Desventajas: "The food was horrible, and the prices were high.The seats that we got were small and had no space to move around. And the seat I was in had a broken headphone jack, so I had to ride the whole 6 hour plane ride looking at a tv screen with no sound!"

Nice to clear passport control there though. Worst flight in quite a while VERY COLD PLANE. Broken seats and chargers. I don't watch movies much but there top selections were 3-5 years old."

Ventajas: "Was flying out to Barcelona. Stop over in Dublin. Flight was good. Had own TV screen to choose movies, tv shows, videos, or listen to music. Meal was okay, but could have been better. Service was good. Flight personnel very accommodating. Was able to move up from being near toilet to several seats further up. Adequate leg room."
Desventajas: "Should update video/tv selections (not a big gripe). Too small aisle to walk down. Why do airlines believe that everyone is child size? Not understanding that..."

Ventajas: "TRANSITION IN BOARDING INTO DUBLIN TO USA LITTLE CONFUSION WORRY ABOUT BOARDING ON TIME"

Ventajas: "This was my first time flying with Aer lingus. Crew were great, food and entertainment were good."
Desventajas: "Although I didn't get my baggage with me and it will be delivered to me in a day, but everything else was great."

Desventajas: "Most airlines do boarding by letting people who seat in the back of the plane first. Air Lingus let all people go in at the same time which causes chaos."

Ventajas: "Absolutely nothing wrong happened on the flight, and that's good"

Ventajas: "Despite being standard economy class, the seats were comfortable, the packed plan didn't feel terribly packed, and the food was surprisingly decent. Boarding was quick and easy, and there was plenty of overhead luggage space. The roughly 8 hour flight from Dublin to JFK was much more pleasant than I had expected."
Desventajas: "The power plug under my seat didn't work. (Thankfully, I had a charger battery with me, so I didn't run out of juice.)"

Desventajas: "Movie and tv show selection sucked. Why have random episodes of tvshows have a full season. Movie choice was poor. Inflight mobile network did not work."

Desventajas: "The plane was sitting at the gate for at least three hours before we boarded, and then they found a problem to fix. We took off almost an hour late. There wasn't enough barbecue chicken for everyone so they ran out halfway through the flight, so I had no choice but to eat the other option which was really unappealing. When we landed we couldn't go anywhere because it took 20 minutes to get a paramedic on board for another traveler."

Desventajas: "I was very uncomfortable during this flight. My seat was broken. I couldn't push it back at all so I was stuck sitting up right the whole flight. My friend next to me in the aisle seat had a broken seat as well. Except, instead of it not going back her kept going back all the way so the individual behind her could had a seat that was in her face basically. I was really disappointed with the flight. I was so exhausted and in so much pain from sitting like that the whole time."

Ventajas: "Entertainment was great! Kept me busy all the way home."
Desventajas: "Menu! Choice was either chicken or beef. To accommodate the wide range of palates out their more choices or a better combination of choices, such as chicken or pasta with vegetables, beef or rice and beans etc..."

Ventajas: "Easy check in at Dublin. Got upgrade to good seat near front."
Desventajas: "Did not enjoy the lunch served. Spicy food."

Ventajas: "Aer lingus in New York finally resolved problem"
Desventajas: "Needed to add my infant son to return leg of flight. He did not need a seat (lap infant) just a ticket. Neither JustFly or Aer Lingus (Dublin) could/would do this. Each said it was the others job. Eventually Aer Lingus office in New York added my son to flight. There seems to be a disconnect / confusion between airline and booking company regarding this matter."

Desventajas: "In Dublin, we were sent to an area for a long wait with no decent food at all, even though the Dublin airport has good restaurants. It probably has to do with U.S. security, but certainly something more accommodating could be worked out. They had an Aer Lingus lounge, but only for business class and gold card holders, so after spending thousands on tickets, we were not allowed in. Guess the "1 percent" privileges."

Ventajas: "It was on time. Going through customs in Dublin. Boarding went smoothly."

Desventajas: "my bags were missed during plenty of time transfer, uncomfortable plane for a trans Atlantic flight, expensive drinks"

Ventajas: "US Customs pre clearance saved us a lot of time at JFK."

Ventajas: "I like that the flight took off on time and got there a little early. I was so worried about delays. Going and coming back was on time."
