Ventajas: "It was impossible to breathe throughout the 13-hour flight. It was very hot and humid. Several people asked for the temperature to be adjusted but they never really took care of it. The food was really cheap and stale--quite a disappointment for an expensive flight Tokyo-New York."

Ventajas: "Was fed a meal and snacks/drinks for this connecting 3 hour flight in economy. Hard to sleep in the economy seats, But with a blanket and thick clothes it would be better! Japan Airlines crew extremely nice!"

Desventajas: "I could not log in in JAL website using mileage account. They said it has been maintanance mode for a while and could not tell when it would be completed. I tried a month later but the problem was not solved. They foward any problems and inquiries to reservation center but calling the number won't find anyone to talk. Always they put me on hold for hours and never reached anyone. I have food allergy and tried to request for special meals but the option was not there under my eticket number as described in their website. They say the option may not be available because I purchased my ticket from 3rd party, not from JAL or it was code share flight. Very inconvenient. I had to skip 2 meals out of 3in leaving for Japan. I got very hungry at the end of the flight...."

Desventajas: "We were informed our flight was not to land in Haneda but at Narita. We specifically picked that flight pattern because of the ease of traveling from Hawaii to Haneda to Naha. We wouldn't have to drag two large suitcases and a rollaboard after checking out of customs and immigration very far. Same airport to land and depart. Well the arrival airport was changed to Narita $32.00 per person for Airport Limobus to Haneda. We get off at Haneda and are informed we cannot stay there and wait at the domestic airport for our 6:25 am flight to Naha. We had to load all 6 pieces of luggage on the shuttle bus and transfer to the international terminal because they close the domestic terminal at midnight. There was no hotel accommodations at the domestic airport as the hotel was booked two months in advance!!! We had to wait at the international airport terminal till 4:30 am when we then transferred back to the domestic terminal with our 6 pieces of luggage. Tell me how happy you'd be!!!"

Nothing can the counter do till i've to call kayak/flight network. One hour conversation from malaysia to canada. What a wast & replace me with air china. Stupid kayak & flight network."

Ventajas: "With Japan Airlines, there is never a doubt in my mind they are going to be the best airline of choice. I was running late to my flight into Haneda to fly out to Singapore. I literally arrived to the front desk 15 minutes before the plane departed. The ladies at the front desk were very aware of my urgency and walked me threw the crew line and got me to my gate without a missed flight. I cannot thank you enough for the kind and generous work you do."

Desventajas: "The DC China Embassy web site clearly states that a valid APEC Business Card can be used in lieu of a Chinese visa. In spite of this I was denied boarding by JAL. It turns out the system is not fully in place, and eventually I was issued a 10 year multiple entry visa by way of apology. JAL did not waive cancellation fee, and I suffered considerable economic damages."

I was not well throughout the entire flight and they went out of their way repeatedly to make sure I was as comfortable as possible, including giving up two of their own crew seats to me for most of the 14 hour flight from Taipei to New York. The crew also made sure that the bathrooms were kept stocked and cleaned. This is something you don't see enough of in other airlines where the bathrooms become disgusting by around mid-flight on long-haul flights. The entertainment systems are modern and designed well for practical use, unlike some other airlines that still have many or all controls situated on the armrests. They use quality touchscreens which control everything including the overhead light and attendant call button. I also like the fact that I could check 2 bags and select my seat without any fees unlike too many other airlines are doing today."
Desventajas: "While the entertainment systems themselves are great the entertainment choices are not. They have very few New Releases and don't seem to update them at the beginning of the month compared to many other airlines, such as Cathay Pacific. On long flights this is one thing that should be given more attention."

Desventajas: "yes, i have a unlimited legroom on my seat and no one is sitting beside me. later after taking off i notice something poking on my left arm, and i checked it was a feet of a passenger behind me. like wtf hello im also a passenger here. passenger behind me are very inconsiderate and insensitive. the crew/staff are perfect just the passenger behind me made it worst. (flight br0030 oct 9 2017 arrived at 10:30 am )"

But then again, all they said was "you need to wait" in Chinese also so maybe they are just not polite in general) They could have had better movie selections Both flights were delayed"

Those who are on carb free diet should make a special request prior to travel as their food is very heavy on carb and light on protein."

It was a traumatizing experience for her... needless to say, nothing was found and no explanation was given. The seats recline too far back so that the person behind cannot enjoy what they are watching. The crew has to keep asking the passengers in front to pull their chairs up slightly."

Ventajas: "I liked the airbus used to fly from and to the USA. On a 15 hour flight comfort is key, and they did their best. The have build little foot pedals to rest your feet on. Meals also came often, and the food was on the better end of airplane food. Crew was also very friendly!"

Desventajas: "The crew only came around with water every 3 hours or so. This is unacceptable on a long flight."

Ventajas: "Everyone was so personable. We had 4 adults , 2 boys and a baby girl so it was hard to get everyone situated but with the staff on the plane it was just simplicity. All of our needs were met , wether it was someone wanting an extra blanket or the baby needing food or even helping the 2 boys get situated before and after take off . They apparently love babies because they couldn't get enough of ours and were always wanting to play with her and make her smile (which goes along way) and that helped her not feel so groggy on the plane . They know it's a long flight so they get you comfortable even down to giving you slippers and great tasting food."
Desventajas: "The only thing I didn't like was the long flight but that's not the staffs fault, it was inevitable if your flying halfway across the world . the plane had 12 inch touch screen tv with music, movies, games , news , kids entertainment and even how to learn Korean so it it was very helpful in keeping you entertained throughout the plane ride ."

Ventajas: "The crew was lovely and very helpful. They were attentive and constantly providing beverages. The films were nice and a large selection. The food was delicious and it was overall a lovely flight which was nice since it was over 13 hours in length."
Desventajas: "It would have been nice for slightly more space but it is definitely not the most cramped economy class I have sat in. Additionally, it would have been nice to have different movies from my flight to Seoul but there is so much too choose from that this is not a real issue either."

Ventajas: "On my long-haul flight from Seoul to JFK - the middle seat in my row was empty, the seats were much more spacious than Cathay Pacific, and I appreciated how there wasn't a 10 minute promotional video before watching every movie/TV show as with other airlines. I am very satisfied with this airline overall!"

Ventajas: "THE staff were really nice and kind."
Desventajas: "Not enough snack small amount of wine usually you get 1 small bottle. NOT enough movies choice. No control on the air over your head."

Desventajas: "No wifi on the flights means I'm limited to working offline and Asiana's IFE system, which was amazing but had limited selection."

Sorry to grade for " Boarding, Mediocore" Nevertheless, the girl made us too confused. our departure to HK thru Seoul, she gave us boarding pass only to Seoul and my husband uses a cane due to leg pain. ( he can not bend his leg properly). I asked her to give a front seat. She simply ignored my request. At least, she should better say yes or no! However, other staffs helped us!"

Ventajas: "IN flight attendants are great, always willing to help and with a smile."
Desventajas: "I can see the airline growing ans some of the perks disappearing."

Ventajas: "Plane was very old, entertainment system old video and loop model; headrests not flexible, cramped quarters all round."

Ventajas: "Crew was attentive and the food for economy was good."
Desventajas: "13 hour from Seoul to NYC and the crew never once went into and took care of any of the four bathrooms in the lower cabin in economy class. On the flight two weeks before from JFK - they did a great job on the bathrooms.On both flights there was no need for the constant interruptions telling us to put the seat belts on. Just turn on the light no need to make an announcements in two languages."

Desventajas: "There were some disrespectful passengers who were disruptive during the flight."

Ventajas: "New aircraft with personal TVs; good food; efficient and professional service by the cabin crew"

Ventajas: "Better entertainment options."
Desventajas: "Loud children all over, my dietary choices for all three meals were messed up ever though I spoke to three different levels of Asiana employees to verify (due to the mistake on the flight to Korea). When I tried to explain to the flight attendant my dietary needs they couldn't be bothered and got an attitude when I asked for the meal that was being served. The flight crew was unfriendly. The bathrooms were crowded and chaotic after meals with no attempt on the flight crew to organize or redistribute the crowds (unsafe situation could occur). I waited 15 minutes at one point because there was simply no order. Some flight attendants were better than others but overall, they played favorites with certain groups."

Ventajas: "Service and courtesy"
Desventajas: "The flight attendants were courteous and the service was excellent. The line at the ticket counter at Kansai was long and the line at security was long, but we arrived 2.25 hours early for our international flight and made it to the gate with 30 minutes to spare."

Ventajas: "No complaint, everything was good."

Ventajas: "They had a show of different traditional Korean costumes. The girls then allowed the passengers to take pictures with them. A fun time."
Desventajas: "It was a long long flight. I wish they used those black holes for travel."

Desventajas: "Card only payment for snacks was rough because I lost my credit card at the airport before boarding flight. On a 10+ hour flight it was really difficult."

Desventajas: "Food was awful, even for being free. Check in was Disorganized, chaotic, and difficult to follow as NO signs. No FREE entertainment for 9 hour flight."

Desventajas: "The charging plugs did not work. The entertainment choices were not good and were limited. There was a charge for each selection, not even a one fee for access throughout the flight. This is terrible for a 10hr flight."

Ventajas: "Hawaiian Air has a direct flight from Honolulu which makes the 5000 trip bearable. The Hawaiian crew is really good-natured and warm, always w/a smile, even in the middle of the night. In these days of budget cuts, Hawaiian serves you too much food and even offers a complementary glass of wine. The only unfortunate thing is that you have to pay for all types of on board entertainment. All in all it’s a really great flight in economy."

Ventajas: "Very friendly service, still serves food, made sure passengers were comfortable at all times."
Desventajas: "Could've had electrical port for laptop use."

Desventajas: "Paid $600 for the better seats and they refused to give a full can of soda. Didn't get much of a window seat, the window was closer to the person in front of us. There was some guy on the plane in the same section as me and my husband and they gave him full cans so I guess it's who you know. I couldn't even eat the food, it made me nauseous. They arrived 30 minutes late and we almost missed our next flight. They didnt even ask for those with connecting flights to be let off first. Checked luggage handle was torn off by staff. Not worth the extra cost or going out of my way to book with Hawaiian. I won't go with them again."

Desventajas: "I bought these tickets about two months ago. There was no option for seat selection. Despite the fact I bought two tickets when we finally got our boarding passes we were twelve rows apart. I tried to call Jet Blue (the actual airline) and they said they couldn't do anything over the phone. I went up to the gate and they said sorry, it was a full flight. When the cabin door closed, the seat next to me was empty, but we were taking off so I couldn't at that time move my wife. When they reached cruising altitude and they turned off the fasten seatbelts sign, I went back to where my was sitting but she was asleep."

Ventajas: "Enjoyed staff"

Desventajas: "the food, there was no vegetarian option. The first plane was very small and uncomfortable but the return was good."

Ventajas: "Friendly staff and free meals from NYC to Hawaii even though it isn't international was a great plus. United does not provide meals. We also got a free bag of popcorn and free movies coming home because it was the 5th anniversary of the airline or something. We were on time both ways, which is most important."
Desventajas: "The movies available were a good selection, but you had to pay $8, which is unheard of these days."

Ventajas: "I loved the service of Katie. She was awesome and funny and extremely nice. My experience was terrific because of her hard work as well. I am a United States Marine and I will definitely be recommending this airline. Thank you !"

Ventajas: "The crew, from pilots to attendants, was extremely professional and pleasant. The airline did an excellent job turning what could've been a nightmare situation to a minor delay. Providing snacks and dinner vouchers while we waited for a new plane was a nice touch. But too many mechanical and/or electrical issues with this airline."
Desventajas: "Too many mechanical and/or electrical issues. Maintenance not up to par perhaps? Flight was delayed 2.5 hrs due to computer issues on the flight to Hawaii. Then had to suffer through an emergency landing due to hydraulic failure on the flight back to New York. Was not a fun experience watching the fuel being dumped into the ocean for an hour."

Ventajas: "Crew was great, food was pretty good. Hit some turbulence and it was handled smoothly as possible."
Desventajas: "Touchscreen display barely responded to touch, would randomly turn on while I was trying to sleep."

Desventajas: "Whose idea was a touchscreen entertainment screen on the back of my headrest?? I could feel every click from the person behind me. $8 to screen 1 movie? Good lord. Also it was very uncomfortable."

Desventajas: "The fact that flight attendant just left food on my tray when I didn't ask for it. I get motion-sickness very easily, so I would like to avoid food if possible. Would appreciate more consideration towards that, like leaving a note instead of leaving the food without asking me first."

Desventajas: "They broke my luggage at the counter in front of my eyes and did not even ask me if I wanted to put a claim. Luggage fees are not announced anywhere and THERE IS a luggage fee. When complaining that it was not said anywhere, the agent put my friend on stand by list and did not say anything... and finally, at the boarding gate, seats where available, no wait list! I booked a direct flight but because a restroom issue, flight stopped and 2-hour delay was added. any movie is the price a movie theater ticket $8! For an 11-hour flight, it could be free or at least few old movies should be available in the complimentary package."

We purposefully chose not to fly on a Chinese airline from China but chose Hawaiian instead because we thought the plane would be bigger. We won't be using Hawaiian again from Asia."

Desventajas: "My entertainment screen did not work for the entire flight and they were not able to fix it or place me in a different seat. This was not good."
