Previously Mihiri Air served even better choice of food & drink at moderate prices but price of ticket was at least 50% cheaper. SL Govt with SLA With no regard for passenger comfort nor giving them a reasonabl deal on his sector should be condemned & boycotted. As a regular traveler I will look at Emirates as a better airlines despite with a different time slots still would be cheaper & value FO money. Wake up Sri Lankan Airlines from your slumber"

Food menu need to update once in three months at least. Since last six months or more it is the same food menu. Same thing with the entertainment, movies need to be updated once in six months."

SriLankan staff sent me to the lounge and treated me very well. The 2nd leg was badly delayed and poorly handled for most passengers."

The tray tables were chipped off / taped to put them together and they were still slanting which did not help in keeping anything on the table without it sliding towards you. Crew service was mediocre and not friendly except for a couple of members. We have found better and tastier INDIAN food provided by foreign airlines. They also did not have basics like Club Soda/Ginger Ale/regular Sprite or 7 Up."
Desventajas: "I booked this flight for my mother who was travelling long distance for the first time. Since it was a 15 hour long flight, I wanted to make sure that she gets a window seat so she'd be able to rest better. I reserved a window seat through the Air India website and received a confirmation that the seat had been reserved but at check-in, my mother was given a middle seat. When she went to the gate and asked about the seat change, they said sometimes online reservation does not go through (even though the message says it has) and there is nothing they could do about her seat! I have no idea why they provide this facility in that case. My mother's first long distance flight was very uncomfortable when it shouldn't have been. Please avoid choosing Air India!"

Desventajas: "I had the worst possible experience flying Air India back from Delhi to NY. I was at the Delhi airport, cleared all the different levels of security and was provided with my boarding pass. After which I went to the gate looking for a seat during which time it was announced that the flight has been delayed by a few hours. I arrived at the gate and there was no more seats left, so I decided to go sit right outside the gate as I did not want to stand for 3 hours especially since I was unwell and was taking antibiotics for my severe cold and sore throat. I sat down on a reclining chair right outside the gate during which time Air India apparently preponed the flight and apparently announced my name on the loud speaker. I say apparently because I do not know if I possibly dosed off fora few minutes or this actually happened. The reason I say this is because after I missed my flight and went to the counter, the representative and even the manager repeatedly told me that the flight was never delayed. When, with a strong voice, I told them that how can they lie about that they apologized and said yes the flight has been delayed. The fact that hey can lie to my face makes me believe that they did not even announce my name. Furthermore, after they announced my name they even had time to unload my baggage from the flight. If they had time to do all of that, they they should have continuously announced my name. I was right outside the gate, I would have heard it! After all this, they refused to put me on the next flight. They said the next one available was in 4 days and would cost me $1,100! I had to run around at 3am in the airport trying to figure out how to get back home while I was sick! They refused to help me in any way. DO NOT FLY AIR INDIA, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!! How can you leave a passenger who has a stamped boarding pass and is sitting right outside the allotted gate! Did they expect me to stand outside the gate for 3 hours at 1am if their were no seats available there!"

Desventajas: "Boarding: At T-3,there was proper announcement and everyone formed a queue. Touch screen for entertainment system did not work."

Desventajas: "I arrived at the terminal and was told my ticket was voided by Kayak. When I contacted Kayak they told me it was Air India's fault. Air India then refused to provide any evidence of the voided ticket. End result? I paid over $750 for a flight and was never given a ticket. I was forced to dispute the charge and buy a $1200 ticket via Emirates. I will not be booking with Kayak or Air India ever again and want to warn others about doing the same. If things are running smoothly I'm sure you will have no complaints. However, if there is any situation where you require customer service, you're going to be in a tough spot."

Also, the bathroom ran out of toilet paper twice, the personal entertainment tv shuts off randomly throughout the flight, the food was salty (further dehydrating), and plane is dirty."

Desventajas: "Lack of maintenance of the interior and it's below par condition. Entertainment gets zero points since the system all along was crashing. Not all overhead reading lights were working. Food was horrible: The chicken meal was extremely spicy - I am of Indian origin and know spice: the salad was dry and the lettuce wiled; the bread was as cold as it could be! My worst experience on any international carrier to date. On my earlier flight from JKF to DEL on 2/25/17, the experience and frustration was the same - the same assessment."

Ventajas: "At the airport I was told there was no seat for me. That was the beginning of the nightmare. On the plane after I was given a seat, my seat was broken and could not recline at all. Next the entertainment was not working for a 13 Hour flight. So the entire flight was just watching people in an uncomfortable seat that could not go back. It was the worst flight experience ever."

Desventajas: "Air India ground staff were scant, and there were only 2 check-in counters provided for 4 Air India flights! As a result, check-in alone took over an hour - totally unacceptable service. Then it took over 2 hours to clear immigration and security. Certainly the airline can't control much of this delay - but representatives of other airlines were expediting passengers in line for their own flights, whereas Air India passengers were left to fend for themselves. So passengers on much later flights than us were being guided to the immigration counter ahead of us - resulting in the hour and half delay in taking off."

Seat 34D was a known problem by the crew with a non functioning entertainment system which made the 15 hr flight unbearable. The seat should never have been assigned. Seats are thin, worn out and uncomfortable. Bathrooms are not kept clean during the long flight."

Ventajas: "I liked the care they took in getting my husband in to the seat ( he is disabled). The young man (steward or flight attendant) who was assigned to our section was excellent. Going out of his way offering assistance to take my husband to the wash room several times. His invaluable assistance to get his off the plane in isle wheel chair"
