However, when I arrived at the airport, I was told that I had to pay an additional $75 to check my bag in even though my boarding pass stated I was able to check in one bag. I was then pushed back and forth through the airport to complete this process. I would have liked to be given warning if I had to pay any additional costs."

Desventajas: "Cabin light was only slightly dimmed during the 8 hrs flight. Then instead of gradually brighten the light. They just flip the switch to full blast. I think they are trying to sell you more duty free than letting their customers rest. Not ok!"
Desventajas: "Crew was rude. Had to ask 3 times for a drink before I actually got it and they snarled at me about having to pay. I didn't care about paying, at that pout I would have paid $100 for some water. Seats are RIDICULOUSLY small and when the person in front of you puts their seat back it's impossible to do anything. Forgot having your tray table down."

I was flying with a family member and instead of sitting next to them I had to sit next to a stranger."

Desventajas: "I was sitting next to a girl who was not part of my family who got airsick 3 times on the flight. The first time I told the airline attendant and she brought a large plastic bag and some paper towels. The girl but her used airsick bag inside the large plastic bag. I tied the top and put in next to me near the aisle because I expected the attendant to come pick it up. The attendant told me I had to take it to the lavatory and dispose of it in there. It was very hard to get the large plastic bag into the small trash receptacle because it had fill with air. I asked the attendant for another airsick bag but she never brought it. The girl got sick again and she used my airsick bag. While walking the bag up to the lavatory, I asked a different attendant for another airsick bag. They just told me I had to dispose of it in the lavatory and never brought another airsick bag. I had to ask someone for their airsick bag because the girl got sick a third time. I can not believe the horrible service on this flight! The poor girl was crying because she felt so sick and there wasn't anyone to help her. I did what I could but I felt something could have been done by the crew. I will think twice before I reserve another flight on SAS."

Ventajas: "The staff were so, so helpful and made sure we were all as comfortable as possible. I liked all the snacks and drinks and the no charge for checked bags. (A big help after a long trip and short on $!) And the best part? They dealt with U.S customs before we left Dublin so that we didn't have to deal with the long lines in Boston. So grateful!!!"
Desventajas: "My entertainment screen froze every time I tried to play a game, had to reset a few times before I gave up."
Desventajas: "There were absolutely no vegetarian meals. All flights should at least have a few extra just in case someone needs some. After I refused the meal, I didn't even get water or anything. I was given a nauseating wrap with tea towards the end of the flight. I'm not even sure how that was expected to be edible. Unbelievable, I will not be flying Aer Lingus again."

Desventajas: "We just returned home to New York from our trip to Amsterdam and Ireland. The trip itself was amazing despite the sub par customer service we received from Aer Lingus that definitely put a damper on our vacation. Our flight on Wed July 19th from NYC to Amsterdam went off without a hitch until we claimed our luggage, my brand new suitcase was covered with stains. Very disappointing but we went on to enjoy our time in Amsterdam. The real problems began when we flew from Amsterdam to Dublin, first we were seated all over the plane and worst of all when we arrived my husband's bag was lost. We went to customer service and completed the paper work. Everything my husband had for the trip was in that bag. Aer Lingus only texted him once and after that he had to call every day to check the status of his bag. Instead of exploring Dublin, we had to spend Sunday shopping to get him clothes for the trip. No word from Aer Lingus. Monday morning July 24 he calls to find the status of his bag. It was found in Amsterdam and was to be flown to Dublin and shipped to our next stop in Kinsale. We arrived Monday evening to find that the bag had not been shipped. Again no word from Aer Lingus. My husband called to find out the status and made arrangements to pick the bag up when we were flying back to NYC. We were happy the bag was found but my husband still was without all of his belongings for our entire trip. On Thursday July 27 we arrived at the airport early to retrieve the bag before we checked in to our flight. We were dismayed to find that there was not a person to talk to but a phone on a column to call to get help retrieving the luggage. There was a queue at the phone with people ahead of us in similar situations. Finally someone came out to escort my husband to get his bag. We were traveling with our son, and again our seats were scattered about the plane. There was no one at checkin to help us, and we didn't get help at the gate. So we had to sit separately for the 6 hour and 30 minute flight. When we claimed our bags, my bag now had tears along with the stains. This was a brand new suitcase and it is now ruined. My husband says he will never fly Aer Lingus again and this was the worst customer service he has had in his life. The customer service was virtually non existent."
Ventajas: "Flight went smoothly, staff were pleasant, seat was fine, entertainment worked well"
Desventajas: "The overall feel is that the staff are very rigid about their rules. They come down the aisle at their appointed times, but never just check up to see how people are doing. The rule about registering for a vegetarian meal 72 hours advance is ridiculous. there should always be meat-free options for people, not just vegetarians. The flight attendant was kind enough to find some fruit salad for me, out of the crew meals, but she shouldn't have to. in general they don't feel very warm or inviting."
Ventajas: "Truly lovely employees at every step of the trip Tasty food!"
Ventajas: "in flight entertainment was diverse and kept me occupied. the food was quite good, and free since it was a transatlantic flight. smooth flight and pleasant crew"
Desventajas: "Boarding is very haphazard and disorganized. Somewhat the airlines responsibility since they could keep it more controlled by enforcing what tows they will allow to pass. I couldn't do an online checkin with any of my Aer Lingus flights. As a result, my partner and I had seats far from each other and at the back of the plane."
Ventajas: "Friendly staff. Made efforts to assure passengers there were arrangements made for them in Dublin due to our late departure."
Desventajas: "I rated food and entertainment as 1 star since there is no N/A option. Our short flight did not provide them."

Ventajas: "I understand the need for rules, but delaying 250 People because three idiots check baggage and don't show up is absurd. You need to have your own people on site who can take it off. I'll never fly you again."
Desventajas: "Further, you did little to ameliorate the situation for those stranded. I appreciate the hotel, but air Canada, united etc ALL offer cash compensation for delays caused by the airline..you didn't even offer an onboard drink. Also, the flight to JFK left 10 minutes after we landed: you should have held that flight rather than cost us all time/money/stress!"

Ventajas: "We were only 7 across in Economy so that was comfortable. We also got feed. no surcharges! I slept so didn't check out the entertainment."

We found it here in Fort Lauderdale right where we departed from. As one can imagine, it makes for a terrible trip when your missing your things. Especially warm clothes..."

Desventajas: "1. BA said I couldn't get a seat before 24 hrs before. Then when I tried to get a seat assignment I was told (by email) to contact Aer Lingus. Aer Lingus said that I should have called before 24 hrs before, and that seats were now in control of the gate (this still 22 hrs before flight time). Total lack of coordination. 2. At check-in I was first told that my bag was too big for carry-on, although BA had accepted it. I shrunk it down. Then I was told it weighed too much at 15 kg. When I asked why BA accepted the weight I was told BA's weight limit was different. 3. Net net, if BA is "arranging" the flight through a code-share it should have responsibility for insuring I am treated like a BA customer. Aer Lingus' customer treatment leads much to be desired."
Ventajas: "Worst experience flying of my life and I've flown quite a lot. Showed up for my flight in Amsterdam to a connecting flight in Dublin to sfo for Christmas. They told me I didn't have a seat on the ams-Dublin flight. Waited and asked everyone with aer Lingus who was available which was one woman who ignored me as much as possible whether I would make it home for Christmas. No info given. Finally got thrown (literally) a ticket after the plane was completely boarded. Barely made my connecting flight in Dublin. Arrived in sfo and my luggage never arrived. A week later, after countless phone calls, bag descriptions, and headaches, my luggage was located in Dublin. I just received my bag today with everything I needed for Christmas but didn't have. Basically aer Lingus ruined my Christmas 2016 and I still can't figure out who to log a complaint to. Worst airline ever."
Desventajas: "Due to some circumstances I had to cancel my trip. Because I booked through a third party I was unable to get a refund or any recompense without ~$200 in fees, so I had to abandon the tickets, I was really looking forward to the trip and i was disappointed I couldnt do anything to salvage them."
Ventajas: "We liked the US pre-clearence process that saved us a bunch of time. The meals were great. The plane was very new and clean."
Desventajas: "Drink service needs improvement. They only came around twice and even after several requests we finally had to seek out a steward to get beverages. The earbuds are very poor quality. We took 2 different flights, each with a different style earbud and they both had terrible sound quality. There is a great Entertainment collection of movies and music but the earbud quality made it difficult to actually hear music clearly or even sound for the movies."
Desventajas: "The crew was very interested in gossiping instead of assisting their first class passengers. I sat with the same trash since the 2nd hour on a 6 hour first class trip. The entire first class cabin all had their call lights on which were ignored for over an hour. If you asked for anything they seemed to be annoyed they had to stop talking to each other. The cabin was also very warm to be an international flight."
Ventajas: "The crew was amazing and the service on board was above and beyond. Boarding fast and orderly and the seats are super"

Desventajas: "Communication about fueling issues at Schiphol airport could have been better; 4.5 hours delay were terrible, the inflight entertainment system in our row was out of order, lights flickered throughout the flight and the kids meal was stale bread with cold cuts."

Desventajas: "When we got to the gate in Amsterdam, there were only about 25 seats in the waiting area for a 767 jet. Most people had to sit on the floor or stand, which was difficult for my 81 year old aunt. You really need more seating."

Desventajas: "My flight leaving Amsterdam was delayed by two hours. Luckily, in an odd way, my connecting flight to NYC was also delayed by 1 and a half hours. I did not realize that we had to PAY for our food, so I ended up being hungry and not eating anything for the entire journey. We stayed on the Tarmac at jfk for close to an hour waiting for our gate to be open. And finally, all three of my bags did not make it New York. In fact, I'm still waiting for them. Very disappointing."
Desventajas: "Transfer between flight was very chaotic and terminal appears to be makeshift --- but i guess it's an improvement on NAS Keflavik."

Desventajas: "Flight cancelled because of a mechanic strike. Airline didn't tell us this, just kept delaying the flight. Passengers didn't know of the flight cancellation until we got to the gate (4 1/2 hr after scheduled departure). I strongly suspect they knew all along that the flight was going to be cancelled. A little advance notice would have given us a chance to make other plans. We flew out the next day on Delta (a far superior experience)."
Desventajas: "Plane over 1 hour late taking off. Never communicated why the wait. NO PLACE TO SIT AT AIRPORT!!!!! Cold hard cement to sit on with major construction going on. Standing in line almost 2 hours because of no updates. So we had no idea when plane was ready to leave. So we all felt like we could leave to go get food or coffee. Then we finally get on Plane and the entire entertainment system is down. No movies or way to charging phones etc!!!!! For a 6 hour flight that was so frustrating!!!! Then you would think that Icelandair for all the problems would at least comp our meals and drinks!! NOPE!! Pay full price. Flight attendance were great! But we only doing what they were told. I would not take this airline again."
Desventajas: "1. USB charging port not working 2. entertainment console not working (flight staff offered limited iPads to use instead. By the time I asked, they were not available anymore) 3. on top of these, couldn't find a place to plug my laptop It's really a bummer for such a long flight. Totally opposite experience from my last flight before the transfer (also from Iceland Air)."

Desventajas: "Boarded late. Rudest desk agent of all time- she had the nastiest attitude and was rolling her eyes at our requests. I was so surprised anyone with this position could act in such a manner. It was also very difficult to communicate with her- I am not sure why she was put in that position when the line for check in was extremely long. She was taking her sweet time, almost purposely trying to annoy people. People were complaining because of the wait time, people needed to drop off their bags/get their seats, etc. This lady was so unprofessional I wouldn't have minded waiting until the next day to catch my flight back so a different employee could accommodate me."

Desventajas: "Rude staff at AMS airport made it very uncomfortable, she was unwilling to be polite and had the nastiest attitude. She was almost screaming at me. The flight from Reykjavik to NYC was torture. First, it was delayed. Then we boarded a plane completely and had to unboard, walk across the entire airport to a new gate, wait for the new plane, again delay, and finally board after 3 hours of misery. I really liked IcelandAir on the way to Europe, but the way back to the US was terrible and I will steer clear from purchasing a ticket with this airline next time."

Desventajas: "Se atraso la conexion en Varsovia, la señorita recibio la informacion del restraso despues que yo. Me dejaron mis maletas a pesar del retraso y que habia pagado por llevarlas. Luego el servicio de Grund Global que les maneja el equipaje a LOT muy pero muy mala... nunca contestaron el telefono, por lo que no pude hacerl el reclamo del equipaje para darle seguimiento. Luego me encontraron mis maletas pero yo viaje el 4 de agosto al Delta del Danubio por lo que fue imposible que me las llevaran a la ubicacion. Una maleta llego a Bucarest el 6 y la otra el 8 de agosto. Dos dias antes de mi proxima parada en Europa (Italia) cuando llegue al aeropuerto a recoger el equipaje, nuevamente nadie respondio al telefono, por lo que tuvimos que acudir al personal del aeropuerto para que yo udiera entrar al area restringida a recoger mi equipaje. Muy tardado y dificl localizar a alguna persona que me pudiese apoyar en la recuperacion del equipaje."

Desventajas: "My family and I traveled to Poland several times using LOT Airline. They lost our luggage not once or twice, but three times. Each time, we were without our luggage for nearly a day and half. We are no longer using this airline. Also, their TV monitors/remotes lack accessibility as they do not offer closed captioning features for the deaf/hard-of-hearing. Another strike."

There was no plane waiting for them in Budapest and they got re-routed to Vienna. Which then took them to krakow. They had to take off their luggage everytime they got off the plane and they are 80 years old. There were no escalators or elevators. The airlines lost one of their suitcases and promised it the next day and they have not received it yet. Horrible flight."

No objections to secondary clearance, but procedure a joke. Machine was half way down the terminal. Half hour wait, and you could have left your carry on with somebody else, get cleared by machine, pick up your bag again and get on board."

Ventajas: "Overall very good - no complaints. LOT is comparable with Lufthansa and KLM (the airlines I have most experience with) in terms of service and space. Boarding in Warsaw was chaotic - no announcements it just sort of started, I was in Zone 3 but there were only lines for Zones 1 and 2. The usual Central European pushing into the line. Flight was nice, smooth and good service. Leg room is limited but that is to be expected on any airline and flight. Would fly LOT again happily. On time, Captain made regular announcements. I arrived safely, as did my luggage. Can't wait for the direct service between Chicago and Budapest."

Flight coming back was cancelled due to technical difficulties, but no problems with rescheduling, LOT rep. was very helpful. No forced charges for checked-in and carry-on bags-BIG differentiator ! used 787 Dreamliner."

Nos asignaron en una nueva aerolínea KLN, donde corrimos para no perder el vuelo ya que tenía 15 minutos para abordar mi madre de 65 años y yo. Corrí en buscar las maletas ya registradas y hacer el procedimiento de check in y pierda de abordar para legar a tiempo. Gracias a Dios no perdimos el vuelo. Pero KLN nos indicaron que ellos no sabían de la cancelación y que no se hacían responsables del hospedaje. Al buscar en el aeropuerto de Holanda TAP AIR PORTUGAL no se hizo responsable. Por lo tanto pague una noche extra €45. Mas el servicio de taxi. En fin. Solo espero que me ayuden con la devolución de una noche por medio de TAP AIR PORTUGAL."

Desventajas: "como em todas as companhias aereas na aeronave de tamanho medio para distancias curtas, a configuracao na classe executiva é 3 assentos por fila dos quais apenas 2 sao ocupados. isto nao dá para entender pois o conforto é muito ruim. a distancia entre assentos é pior do que em qualquer voo a longa distancia na classe economica plus. so viajei na classe executiva pois foi a conexao de um voo do Brasil para Portugal. senao seria absolutamente desnessario pagar a grande diferenca de preco para receber um beneficio muito pequeno."

Desventajas: "Comida en trayectos desde BRasil siempre es peor de lo normal en TAP. El avion era decrepito. La flota de TAP varia entre “destino:chatarra” y “recien renovado”. En este trayecto, suelen meter los primeros, habia paneles sueltos, baño del siglo pasado, etc."
