Even worse: chaotic deplaning with one crew member telling passengers to deplane and another yelling at them in the bridge for doing so. A mess of lines trying to get a new boarding pass for a rebooked missed connection—at the front of the line the agent said oh, you need to wait in this other line. Agents had no clue where to direct passengers and gave incorrect directions that necessitated more waiting. No updates to new flight time in the business class lounge. Once the flight was in the air, service was terrible. Attendants would ask for orders, then never bring them or bring the wrong thing."

Desventajas: "Screaming children. Totally clueless, rude flight crew. Next time kids are screaming for three hours straight on a red eye, maybe offer the parents some assistance. Makes the “perks” like hot towels seem ridiculous when staff are completely indifferent."

US airline flight attendants don’t even come close to this team that truly serviced the cabin for 8 hours continuously without the typical hiding in the back of the plane and chatting. Very encouraging that genuine care in the air is very much alive and well on Singapore Air! I will fly them every chance I get!"
Desventajas: "That my flight had to end and I know my next US airline flight won’t come close to this kind of experience! Air travel doesn’t have to be a cattle herding process with peanut treats on cross country flights - shame on the US carriers - I strongly suggest they fly Singapore Air to see what true customer service feels like!"

Desventajas: "My first flight of JetBlue from Olandor to New York was delayed that leading to my connecting flights to my destination were missed. Now, my suitcases have been missed, too."

Ventajas: "It's not the cheapest way to fly but it's a great way to cross the Atlantic. Seats are big enough for 2, really. Lay flat beds make the night crossing east tolerable. You really can get several hours sleep. The cabin crew is outstanding, patient, and extremely responsive to requests. Two meals served were excellent. Entertainment choices were complete. After a number of flights in Economy on other airlines I'm spoiled by Singapore Airlines and also by Business Class. And their fares seemed much less than others for the JFK to FRA route. Had no idea this level of luxury existed on an airplane."
Desventajas: "My seat assignment was moved without explanation on our return flight, FRA to JFK. That was disappointing. The gate folks were apologetic but no real explanation given."

We later upgrade seats via Singapore then discovered the duplicate booking and misspelling. To fix that JustFly cancelled the booking with the seat upgrade. Singapore restored our upgrade at the airport but only on one direction so we had to go through it all again."

Desventajas: ""Customs" at JFK came to an entire halt. All passengers where stuck in the welcome hall for 1h, without any information, why held there and why nothing was moving forward. All CBP booths were closed, but 8 (eight!) employees, who normally direct arriving passengers to the kiosk-machines where hanging out in two groups sharing private stories and having laughs instead of at least informing passengers, what was going on. Lots of passengers where outraged...a couple in their mid 70s in front of us had to sit down on the floor, since they had circulation problems from standing in line so long. Sadly, JFK isn't what it used to be anymore."

Ventajas: "Hawaiian Air has a direct flight from Honolulu which makes the 5000 trip bearable. The Hawaiian crew is really good-natured and warm, always w/a smile, even in the middle of the night. In these days of budget cuts, Hawaiian serves you too much food and even offers a complementary glass of wine. The only unfortunate thing is that you have to pay for all types of on board entertainment. All in all it’s a really great flight in economy."

I could tell that I was no the only guest annoyed by the noise.It was very inconsiderate and unprofessional to behave this way while on the job especially during the announcements that I couldn ot understand because of the talking behind me. I fly Hawaiian Airlines often and have never had this type of issue. I was surprised that none of the other crew members said anything to the noisy group of hosts/hostesses."

Desventajas: "Paid $600 for the better seats and they refused to give a full can of soda. Didn't get much of a window seat, the window was closer to the person in front of us. There was some guy on the plane in the same section as me and my husband and they gave him full cans so I guess it's who you know. I couldn't even eat the food, it made me nauseous. They arrived 30 minutes late and we almost missed our next flight. They didnt even ask for those with connecting flights to be let off first. Checked luggage handle was torn off by staff. Not worth the extra cost or going out of my way to book with Hawaiian. I won't go with them again."

Hawaiian Airlines do not offer any meals for plant-based (aka vegan) diets. They have vegetarian, but that is not acceptable for vegans. I spent 8 years living abroad. Many foreign carriers allow you to go online and manage your meals prior to your flight; vegan, kosher, low salt, Hindu, gluten free, etc. Business Class experience was much less than other airlines we've flown. Airbus aircraft are always seem on the "cheap" side to me."

When the cabin door closed, the seat next to me was empty, but we were taking off so I couldn't at that time move my wife. When they reached cruising altitude and they turned off the fasten seatbelts sign, I went back to where my was sitting but she was asleep."

I booked a direct flight but because a restroom issue, flight stopped and 2-hour delay was added. any movie is the price a movie theater ticket $8! For an 11-hour flight, it could be free or at least few old movies should be available in the complimentary package."

Pointing people to a single counter person to obtain a seat on a plane after the person has already been on a 9 hour Hawaiian flight is beyond disrespectful. It is cruel. It was close to a couple of months that I had purchased the ticket and I get on the Plane in Auckland only to find I would need to process through TSA yet another time in order to get to the counter and obtain my seat. 3 hours in a TSA line allowed 20 minutes to get to that counter. I also needed to find a private space to give myself my insulin. I do not do that in public bathrooms or even my own bathroom..... but it never happened because I stood in Customs line and then Imigration line and yet again the third TSA line. I think TSA held up over 200 of us because they went to lunch. He were stopped still with absolutely no progress for over an hour."
Desventajas: "You and all the other airlines need to work together and improve TSA. The counter person at Hawaiian in Honolulu was unprofessional and capricious. She preferred to service a huge dog rather than myself, even though it was my turn . She also answered a male who cut in line rather than the person next in line. She did not know what was available and did not show any compassion for international travelers. We were treated as cattle."

Desventajas: "I am not a frequent flier on Cathay. I would say I would think twice before buying my next ticket. Their call centers and counter staff leave a huge amount to be desired. I called their help desk when I couldn't access my reservation. My problem is their systems push your first and middle names together as a first name in their systems so I couldn't access my reservation. I really, really struggled understanding the person on their help desk. Then 48 hours before my flight I tried to book my seats and get my boarding pass. There were no seats for a party of 3 traveling together and only middle seats for the 3 of us. I waited for 20 minutes calling their support center. Of course their team could not help. All seats were booked. Luckily she offered to book my seats for the return and we managed to get the last 3 together in the back of the plane. If you book through Kayak recommend immediately calling to book seat numbers. I have ran out of room but returning from Vancouver their systems didn't read American passports and everyone tried to get tickets issued the staff at the desk laughed when told and said they knew it was a problem....but it did keep the many skiers busy in the self service line:) Also the desk opens 2hours and 59 minutes before departure so don't arrive early"

Desventajas: "Where to begin....The flight was delayed an hr leaving Hong Kong. Then we were rerouted without notice to Newark International. Upon landing and changing our plans, we were told we were actually proceeding to our original destination in JFK. However, we have to wait for a new crew and we're stuck on the tarmac, on the plane for additional couple hrs. The experience was very aggravating, especially after such a long flight. Additionally, I find Cathays lack of transperancy with their customers very unprofessional. Sad as this is my preferred airline to flight but will take this into account for future bookings."

Our flight arrived 45 minutes late with no explanation - it seemed to be a result of the slow/delayed boarding process. I will avoid Cathay Pacific going forward."

Desventajas: "Missed connecting flight from Hong Kong to JFK. I was given another flight but had to wait seven hours. Meal vouchers did not cover enough for how long I waited. New flight was not direct like the original one so there was a layover in Vancouver. I was supposed to get back to New York on February 2nd at night, but arrived around 6:00am on the 3rd. This was a major inconvenience since I had school 3 hours after I arrived and then work. I would suggest to not have arriving flights and connecting departing flights less than hour and thirty minutes to two hours apart. Only for delay issues."

It was probably the worst airline food I've ever had, and I travel very frequently. When we arrived back at JFK from our trip, it took over 2 hours for our luggage to arrive at baggage claim."

We must have been a well hydrated flight. Attendants were good with maintaining the tissue paper etc when notified that it had run out Overall a very pleasant experience."

Ventajas: "When you see a big plane you always wonder how long it will take but Cathay Pacific was very efficient during the boarding and deplaning. It was a very long flight and they kept everybody happy with a smile. Extremely accommodating."

The flight attendants were also really conscientious but also discrete about making sure that things were comfortable to passengers, for example making sure that windows were closed most of the time and lights were down so that people could sleep in between meals, and moving someone that was sick to a more comfortable and private seat, both for the sake of the sick individual and for the comfort of the people that had initially been sitting around them. -The complementary movie options were great and really helped pass the time on the 24+hr flight from NYC to Western Australia. -1 free large checked bag, which was very nice. -I think the complementary food and snacks were really yummy and generous, for airline food. I very much enjoyed the meals and snacks. Also, the complementary wine was a nice treat and tasted surprisingly good. -The complementary pillows and blankets were nice, warm, and soft. -The flights were on time, much better than American airlines that I've flown on. -The bathrooms were cleaned regularly throughout the flight and were much cleaner and nicer smelling than other airlines that I've been on."
Desventajas: "The only thing thing that could really be improved upon (which is not as much the airline's fault as the plane manufacturer's fault) is that the economy seats and cabin layout could be more comfortable for long flights. I understand how hard it must be to design a plane that fits that many people and that's comfortable for 24+hrs of flying, but a few improvements could relatively easily be made I think, which would improve the experience dramatically: -If the seats were softer (and perhaps more ergonomically designed with an average person's shape in mind) it would make a world of difference, I think. -Being able to put the arm up on the wall side of the window seat would make it much more comfortable. -Padding on the arms would also help. -Of course more leg space and wider seats would make a world of difference, but I know that is tough to do since space is limited."

The reclining pitch was excellent - even for the people sitting behind. There is a hassock-like panel to elevate one's legs about 45 degrees. Almonds instead of peanuts, a menu option with a main of a nice piece of steak (that could be cut with an airline knife!), amenity kit... Very happy passenger."

So I moved, to be removed by Sarah (stewardess) and put back in Tow 75. Then she put two of her friends in Row 50. When I walked up later to get my bag, there was still an empty Row 50 seat, but her friiends’ purses were in the seat, and they reluctantly removed the items when I insisted to sit there. Sarah should have left me in Row 50 and not made me move back to 75."

Ventajas: "Qantas provides a nice welcome when your board domestic flights in Australia like the one we took today between Brisbane and Sydney not just on their international flights. They greet you when you board, don't feel like a number like domestic flights in the USA be it American, Delta, United, or one of the others. They provide free premier movie access, serve a nice warm meal and drink, and make you feel welcomed - Keep up the great work Qantas, you could give the USA airlines lessons on how to treat passengers."

Desventajas: "Our first flight to LAX was delayed by 7 hours so we spent the day in Sydney airport, spending more money on meals that hadn’t been planned. Because of the delay, we missed our connecting flight from LAX to JFK. The flight we were re-booked on was also delayed for mechanical/paperwork issues so we arrived back home in NYC 8 hours later than originally scheduled. This caused us to spend more money on a taxi since it was too late to take public transportation. it also made it difficult to settle back in at home because both my husband and I had to get up early for work the next day and we missed several hours of unpacking and cooking time we would have had had our flight not been delayed."

Ventajas: "*Our flight from LA to Melbourne on January 7th was cancelled. Fortunately, Qantas crew members were able to place us on an American Airlines flight to JFK the very same day."

We flew Premier Economy on the LA-SYD outgoing trip; the main difference for our SYD-LA return in Economy was the presence of a 3rd seat in our row occupied by a stranger, so bathroom breaks were a bit of a disturbance for all involved. Still you get what you pay for I guess!"

Turbulent air most of the way to JFK, no fault of Qantas. However pilot made no effort to avoid it or was not allowed to go to another flight level. In any event no communication from Capt. Food was mediocre at best. Cabin crew was getting beaten up by turbulence. They did the best they could. Arm rest USB power receptacle broke and headphone jack faulty (60C)."

Ventajas: "Friendly crew members. Departure time & arrival times were very accurate. Luggage was handled properly."

Desventajas: "The time for transfer was absolutely not sufficient, because there were long lines everywhere, no signs where to go next. Only at the end of a very long way there was a representative of Quantas to show us the way. We were very nervous because of uncertainty and came late to the gate. Then it turned out that there were many people behind us. The plane was waiting for them for about an hour. Finally, everybody came. It would be much more logical, if from the beginning the connecting flight to JFK was postponed to some more appropriate time."
