Even worse: chaotic deplaning with one crew member telling passengers to deplane and another yelling at them in the bridge for doing so. A mess of lines trying to get a new boarding pass for a rebooked missed connection—at the front of the line the agent said oh, you need to wait in this other line. Agents had no clue where to direct passengers and gave incorrect directions that necessitated more waiting. No updates to new flight time in the business class lounge. Once the flight was in the air, service was terrible. Attendants would ask for orders, then never bring them or bring the wrong thing."

Desventajas: "Screaming children. Totally clueless, rude flight crew. Next time kids are screaming for three hours straight on a red eye, maybe offer the parents some assistance. Makes the “perks” like hot towels seem ridiculous when staff are completely indifferent."

Ventajas: "Cabin crew was top notch - even in coach they could not be more accommodating and customer friendly. US airline flight attendants don’t even come close to this team that truly serviced the cabin for 8 hours continuously without the typical hiding in the back of the plane and chatting. Very encouraging that genuine care in the air is very much alive and well on Singapore Air! I will fly them every chance I get!"
Desventajas: "That my flight had to end and I know my next US airline flight won’t come close to this kind of experience! Air travel doesn’t have to be a cattle herding process with peanut treats on cross country flights - shame on the US carriers - I strongly suggest they fly Singapore Air to see what true customer service feels like!"

Desventajas: "My first flight of JetBlue from Olandor to New York was delayed that leading to my connecting flights to my destination were missed. Now, my suitcases have been missed, too."

Ventajas: "It's not the cheapest way to fly but it's a great way to cross the Atlantic. Seats are big enough for 2, really. Lay flat beds make the night crossing east tolerable. You really can get several hours sleep. The cabin crew is outstanding, patient, and extremely responsive to requests. Two meals served were excellent. Entertainment choices were complete. After a number of flights in Economy on other airlines I'm spoiled by Singapore Airlines and also by Business Class. And their fares seemed much less than others for the JFK to FRA route. Had no idea this level of luxury existed on an airplane."
Desventajas: "My seat assignment was moved without explanation on our return flight, FRA to JFK. That was disappointing. The gate folks were apologetic but no real explanation given."

Desventajas: "JustFly billed the wrong price, then to fix that,created a new ticket with my name misspelled and failed to cancel the original ticket. We later upgrade seats via Singapore then discovered the duplicate booking and misspelling. To fix that JustFly cancelled the booking with the seat upgrade. Singapore restored our upgrade at the airport but only on one direction so we had to go through it all again."

Desventajas: ""Customs" at JFK came to an entire halt. All passengers where stuck in the welcome hall for 1h, without any information, why held there and why nothing was moving forward. All CBP booths were closed, but 8 (eight!) employees, who normally direct arriving passengers to the kiosk-machines where hanging out in two groups sharing private stories and having laughs instead of at least informing passengers, what was going on. Lots of passengers where outraged...a couple in their mid 70s in front of us had to sit down on the floor, since they had circulation problems from standing in line so long. Sadly, JFK isn't what it used to be anymore."

A family sitting 2 seats in front moved around a lot while putting their baby and toddler to sleep for the night flight. The attendant discreetly gave those of us earplugs and eye masks to help us shut out the noise. Also, her smile and pleasant attitude made it an enjoyable flight."

However, when I got into the plane, the lady that was going to be seating next to me asked me if I could change my seat with her husband; which was a regular seat. In order to avoid an awkward 12 hour flight, I agreed to change my bigger seat for a smaller seat. I felt disappointment that Air New Zealand separates parties and leaves room for uncomfortable situations. I really did not know what to do in this scenario, I paid for that seat but was in a way forced to give it a away without any refund in order to avoid 12 hours seating with some stranger's wife."

Desventajas: "For some unknown reason, I can not lower my seat when I wanted to get some sleep. As the air plane took off at 11:55pm, I was really sleep. After 10 minutes of maneuver, I decided to ask a flight attendant to help me figure out what happened to my seat. I pressed the button asking for attendant and waited for 5 minutes, no response. So I pressed the button again. IT showed that I had already pressed the button. So I kept waiting. But then no one ever came for me the 9 hours until it was time for the meal before getting off. Sitting straight sleeping was a really terrible experience!"

I would certainly recommend them to others and many airlines could learn from their example.Well done and thank you"

Desventajas: "Newark airport is depressing. Lighting in boarding area is simply awful. Also, cab fare to and from NYC is much too high. Midnight departure time of the flight to Greece is inconvenient. It is just too late. Getting through customs at Newark is a chore. There are not enough computers for passengers to report what they have to report. Also, many passengers I saw did not know how to use a computer."

Ventajas: "Hawaiian Air has a direct flight from Honolulu which makes the 5000 trip bearable. The Hawaiian crew is really good-natured and warm, always w/a smile, even in the middle of the night. In these days of budget cuts, Hawaiian serves you too much food and even offers a complementary glass of wine. The only unfortunate thing is that you have to pay for all types of on board entertainment. All in all it’s a really great flight in economy."

Desventajas: "I was seated in the back row and found it difficult to rest/relax on this overnight flight from Auckland to Honolulu because the flight crew was in the back socializing very loudly to the point where it was unprofessional. I could tell that I was no the only guest annoyed by the noise.It was very inconsiderate and unprofessional to behave this way while on the job especially during the announcements that I couldn ot understand because of the talking behind me. I fly Hawaiian Airlines often and have never had this type of issue. I was surprised that none of the other crew members said anything to the noisy group of hosts/hostesses."

Desventajas: "Paid $600 for the better seats and they refused to give a full can of soda. Didn't get much of a window seat, the window was closer to the person in front of us. There was some guy on the plane in the same section as me and my husband and they gave him full cans so I guess it's who you know. I couldn't even eat the food, it made me nauseous. They arrived 30 minutes late and we almost missed our next flight. They didnt even ask for those with connecting flights to be let off first. Checked luggage handle was torn off by staff. Not worth the extra cost or going out of my way to book with Hawaiian. I won't go with them again."

Desventajas: "We had splurged on Business Class as it was our 25th wedding anniversary. Food options were not great. I follow a plant-based diet. Hawaiian Airlines do not offer any meals for plant-based (aka vegan) diets. They have vegetarian, but that is not acceptable for vegans. I spent 8 years living abroad. Many foreign carriers allow you to go online and manage your meals prior to your flight; vegan, kosher, low salt, Hindu, gluten free, etc. Business Class experience was much less than other airlines we've flown. Airbus aircraft are always seem on the "cheap" side to me."

Desventajas: "$0 charge for cked bag from JFK to HNL, but I was charged $25/- for the same bag - 38.5kbs from HNL to JFK"

Desventajas: "I bought these tickets about two months ago. There was no option for seat selection. Despite the fact I bought two tickets when we finally got our boarding passes we were twelve rows apart. I tried to call Jet Blue (the actual airline) and they said they couldn't do anything over the phone. I went up to the gate and they said sorry, it was a full flight. When the cabin door closed, the seat next to me was empty, but we were taking off so I couldn't at that time move my wife. When they reached cruising altitude and they turned off the fasten seatbelts sign, I went back to where my was sitting but she was asleep."

Ventajas: "Friendly staff and free meals from NYC to Hawaii even though it isn't international was a great plus. United does not provide meals. We also got a free bag of popcorn and free movies coming home because it was the 5th anniversary of the airline or something. We were on time both ways, which is most important."
Desventajas: "The movies available were a good selection, but you had to pay $8, which is unheard of these days."

Ventajas: "I loved the service of Katie. She was awesome and funny and extremely nice. My experience was terrific because of her hard work as well. I am a United States Marine and I will definitely be recommending this airline. Thank you !"

Ventajas: "The crew, from pilots to attendants, was extremely professional and pleasant. The airline did an excellent job turning what could've been a nightmare situation to a minor delay. Providing snacks and dinner vouchers while we waited for a new plane was a nice touch. But too many mechanical and/or electrical issues with this airline."
Desventajas: "Too many mechanical and/or electrical issues. Maintenance not up to par perhaps? Flight was delayed 2.5 hrs due to computer issues on the flight to Hawaii. Then had to suffer through an emergency landing due to hydraulic failure on the flight back to New York. Was not a fun experience watching the fuel being dumped into the ocean for an hour."

Ventajas: "Crew was great, food was pretty good. Hit some turbulence and it was handled smoothly as possible."
Desventajas: "Touchscreen display barely responded to touch, would randomly turn on while I was trying to sleep."

Desventajas: "I could not eat the food as there were eggs in pretty much all of it (I have an allergy), and I was given no other options, which is unacceptable, especially given that this was a long international flight. Wine was terribly sweet. Touch screen basically inoperative (very tiresome)."

Ventajas: "Flight attendants were pleasant. Other than that the plane was packed and the bathrooms got dirty very quickly. Food was terrible! When I booked the flight, tried to find special diet options but were not available. Flight attendant told another passenger that they don't offer special meals."

When complaining that it was not said anywhere, the agent put my friend on stand by list and did not say anything... and finally, at the boarding gate, seats where available, no wait list! I booked a direct flight but because a restroom issue, flight stopped and 2-hour delay was added. any movie is the price a movie theater ticket $8! For an 11-hour flight, it could be free or at least few old movies should be available in the complimentary package."

Ventajas: "TSA is rediculous and affects how people interact with your customer servce. Your customer service in Honolulu needs a lot of work. Pointing people to a single counter person to obtain a seat on a plane after the person has already been on a 9 hour Hawaiian flight is beyond disrespectful. It is cruel. It was close to a couple of months that I had purchased the ticket and I get on the Plane in Auckland only to find I would need to process through TSA yet another time in order to get to the counter and obtain my seat. 3 hours in a TSA line allowed 20 minutes to get to that counter. I also needed to find a private space to give myself my insulin. I do not do that in public bathrooms or even my own bathroom..... but it never happened because I stood in Customs line and then Imigration line and yet again the third TSA line. I think TSA held up over 200 of us because they went to lunch. He were stopped still with absolutely no progress for over an hour."
Desventajas: "You and all the other airlines need to work together and improve TSA. The counter person at Hawaiian in Honolulu was unprofessional and capricious. She preferred to service a huge dog rather than myself, even though it was my turn . She also answered a male who cut in line rather than the person next in line. She did not know what was available and did not show any compassion for international travelers. We were treated as cattle."
