Ventajas: The hotel was one of the best ones we stayed in. The staff were extremely professional and helpful, even upgraded us to a better room. Breakfast was very good and varied, you could even help yourself to a glass of bubbly in the morning breakfast! The room was super quiet and bed very well comfortable and large. The hotel is based in the best location, as you are 1min away from metro station and 5min walk from train station that has trains to Sintra, if you are up for it. Extremely happy with our choice. Thank you all!

Desventajas: En la habitacion se oia el metro cada vez que pasaba y eso que era la ultima planta. Hasta las 23:30 y desde las 7:00 de la mañana. Esto hace que aunque el hotel esté genial sea imposible descansar. No volveré

Desventajas: Hay una vía de tren cerca y se escucha mucho el sonido en la habitación, además la calle es ruidosa en las noches, era fin de semana y se escuchaban mucho los gritos de afuera. El wifi no es bueno, mala señal en las habitaciones.

Ventajas: The apartment is close to city center. Most attractions are within 15 mins walking distance. My friend and I came on Christmas eve and we were upgraded to a larger suite! The reception staffs have been very helpful and gave us a lot of travel advice.

Desventajas: We had an issue with the bathroom door. The mechanism was broken and so one of us got locked into the bathroom. Maintenance was on sight immediately and was prompt about fixing the situation.

Desventajas: The possibility to take the taxi to the airport for 18 euro is rip-off. We asked the hotel if 18 euro is the regular price for this trip or not and we were told that this fixed price is absolutely the normal price. So we trusted in the judgement and paid more than twice as much as it would have cost according to the taximeter! That was really a pity because we really enjoyed the stay but in the end we felt a little bit cheated.

Ventajas: Una estancia excelente. La habitación era muy grande y cómoda, al igual que la cama, para la que incluso pudimos seleccionar el tipo de almohada. El personal estupendo, en especial Francisco, del restaurante y cafetería, que incluso nos habló en valenciano, todo un detallista. Merece la pena también contratar la media pensión y el spa era estupendo.

Ventajas: Una estancia excelente. La habitación era muy grande y cómoda, al igual que la cama, para la que incluso pudimos seleccionar el tipo de almohada. El personal estupendo, en especial Francisco, del restaurante y cafetería, que incluso nos habló en valenciano, todo un detallista. Merece la pena también contratar la media pensión y el spa era estupendo.

Nos ayudó muchísimo con indicaciones, porque increíblemente en Portugal no hablan el español. El Director del Hotel, otra persona muy atenta. Es para destacar su preocupación. Los recepcionistas también muy atentos.

Nos ayudó muchísimo con indicaciones, porque increíblemente en Portugal no hablan el español. El Director del Hotel, otra persona muy atenta. Es para destacar su preocupación. Los recepcionistas también muy atentos.
Desventajas: El aire acondicionado, no fue suficiente y decicidamente el wifi muy malo. en los tiempos que corren, ambas cosas son imprescindibles.

Ventajas: The hotel is located in old town, and it has a manificient view of the city. Walking distance to the castle and many tram stations, metro as well, very convenient to get around. Very friendly staff and always ready to help. A great experience that I had at this hotel, can only recommend to the people who are visiting Lisbon.

Ventajas: Uno de los puntos fuertes de este hotel es la amplia y cómoda terraza con maravillosas vistas al Barrio Alto. Su ubicación es buena y desde allí nos movimos por toda la ciudad muy bien. Hay alrededor muchos restaurantes donde escuchar fado y unas barriadas castizas. El personal es muy atento y dispuesto a solucionar todas las cuestiones. I firstly got allocated a basement room with ensuite and kitchenette in the next door building with a small window to an airshaft(shared with a fado restaurant which is open til midnight ). Due to a nauseating insecticide being used just prior to my arrival causing breathing difficulties I was moved to the guesthouse itself to a brighter, larger room with ensuite. As I didn't need the kitchenette I saw this as an improvement. The 28 tram hurtles by from about 6am to 11pm...this less annoying than other guests slamming doors and hearing them use the shared toilet and bathroom next door!

Desventajas: Nuestra experiencia ha sido regular, nada más llegar solo hay dos ascensores y uno estaba roto y estaban a martillazos con él. Cuando entramos en la habitación la luz principal no enciende. La ducha con una alcachofa en bastante mal estado por la cal. Moqueta. A la mañana siguiente bajamos a desayunar y una cola de unas 30 personas para esperar mesa para desayunar, hemos tardado más de una hora en desayunar.

Ventajas: Lo mejor del hotel es la ubicación. El personal, el desayuno y la limpieza muy bien. Interesante remarcar que el hotel tiene un menu diario bastante económico aunque sólo para el almuerzo (no las cenas). También es muy interesante que tiene dos plantas de garaje y que es gratuito (aunque no se puede reservar).
Desventajas: Las instalaciones del hotel estaban bien aunque esperaba algo mas para cuatro estrellas (por ejemplo un pequeño gimnasio o un spa). Mi habitación era algo ruidosa ya que tanto la maquina del aire acondicionado como el ruido del patio interior del propio hotel se escuchaban aunque no me impidió dormir. Por tanto mi estancia (3 noches) fue buena

Sometimes, some people need to make hot water in Winters just to soothe the system. The staff that checked is in was so rude! She didn't even bother to give an overview of the city for first timers. Another staff tried to scare is about getting taxi early morning and suggested we book a taxi at night with the hotel. We found out that finding a taxi early morning wasn't a problem at all and that he would have charged double the cost of the fare just to book it. We booked using the Free Now taxi app. Great service. Room was not sound proof as noise from other parts of the hotel was getting in.

Desventajas: The bathrooms need a renovation for the hotel quality, kind of old. The bedroom window was with an awfull isolation, we could hear all the sounds from outside as if it was open. The elevators were taking a lot of time to arrive.

Ventajas: The room itself was really nice, it was big, we had a lovely shared balconey looking out over the street, and the bed was very comofrtable. Its not located next to the center, so it is very quite, but its also quite close to historical sites of Alfama, and some really nice restaurants. Theres also a little convenience store right next to it that sells basic grocery items and hygeine products. The kitchen is fully equipped, the shared bathroom has a nice shower with always running hot water. Overall it was a fine experience. Its also right next to a bus stop

Desventajas: There was a problem with a lock in the outside door but I suppose it's got to be fixed. The walls are quite thin so it's may be noisy but we had no problem with it. Wi-fi could be more reliable.

Desventajas: Brutus home is located directly on a hill, and it makes getting back there always a bit of a hike. Also the guesthouse does very little to encourage any sort of social scene between the guests. Its for those who crave privacy and little interaction with their neighbors

Desventajas: The hostel was offering a breakfast but they did say it was one year ago and it’s a mistake. Although we contacted with booking.com as they told us the hostel was going to give breakfast, the next day there was nothing either. The bed was too uncomfortable to sleep. There was no sound insulation. I would highly recommend earplug for people who will prefer to stay here. There was even no soap at the toilets, I couldn’t wash my hands! Bathroom and toilets were dirty and I couldn’t take a shower for three days.

Desventajas: The hostel was on the top. So we need to get down from the bus and climb upto 400 meters to get to the hostel. There was a bus station nearby but the frequency of the buses are very less for that stop. Metro station is about 800 meter from the hostel.

Ventajas: Los baños estaban muy limpios. Uno de ellos tiene una puerta corredera de plástico medio rota, pero los otros estan bien.
Desventajas: La localización es muy mala, no está cerca de ninguna parada de metro ni bus. Para llegar se tiene que subir una gran pendiente, y con las maletas encima fue terrible. La puerta de entrada y escaleras de subida son muy estrechas, así que también era difícil mover la maleta incluso para llegar a la habitación. Habíamos hablado con antelación para hacer checkin por la mañana, pero cuando llegamos, la chica que había no sabía nada de eso, y ella misma admitió que teníamos la habitación disponible de pura casualidad. En nuestra habitación había dos enchufes, pero uno de ellos estaba literalmente cayendo de la pared, por lo que nos dio miedo usarlo. Nada más llegar te cobran 2€/persona por noche, por los impuestos de alojamiento, que casi todo el mundo incluye en el precio inicial, y también nos cobraron por dejar las maletas un rato el dia del checkout.

Ventajas: The hotel has an almost unbeatably perfect location. Tram station, Rossio square, Bairra Alto district, and many other attractions as well as the Tejo riverside are within walking distance. Not bad price/value ratio and the room had a private bathroom too.
Desventajas: Our window was facing a horribly shabby inner yard and some of the windows in the hotel leaking rainwater. I have missed some fresh veggies and/or fruits in the breakfast choice (although, fruitsalad is there).

Desventajas: This an historical building that was recovered, but the original floor and doors were kept. This ties the decoration together nicely, but has the disadvantage that the floor and stairs creak when walked on, and the doors creak when oppened. To those who have a light sleep, this may be a concern. There is also lack of safe storage. There is a locker cabinet, but they are way too small (couldn't fit a backpack), and you have to bring your own padlock. And even so, the padlock would go on a rather fragile sort of cabinet hook latch. Not confidence inspiring at all.

Desventajas: The check-in was a bit weird. I reached around 7pm and the door was open without any lights on. After i climbed till the 3rd floor, I realised that the reception is on the top floor. Letting the guests know about it in advance will be quite helpful.

Desventajas: Extremely noisy. It is like the doors on the top floor(reception) are made of paper. If you get a room in the same apartment as the reception, ask for a new room. I sleept better while in the military. People check-in around the clock.

Desventajas: Nuestra habitación estaba al lado de un cuadro de luces que hacía un ruido constante durante toda la noche. Además el wifi no funcionaba correctamente, se desconectaba cada minuto por lo que preferíamos no usarlo. El baño no estaba muy limpio. Desayuno escaso para nuestro gusto, aunque depende para quien. Consistía en café, zumo o té, pan, lonchas de queso o pavo. En nuestra opinión haría falta fruta, yogures y algo más sólido.

Desventajas: The pillows and towels are not verry clean...You need to bring your own shampoo etc. And the blanket is moist, although probably due to the weather in Lisbon. However, if the layer is bit thicker, it will be better. Btw, the cleaner does not clean the floor. Also, the breakfast is super simple. I book breskfast for a whole week and only eat there twice. Food in lisbon is delicious and not expensive compared with other countries in Europe, so probably it is better to have breakfast outside.
