Desventajas: "I am a small person and found the legroom to be inadequate. I paid $50 to upgrade the seats to economy plus to give us a bit more space but it wasn't any better. For a long, overseas flight, more space is needed. I had more legroom on my domestic flight with United. Also, the airline attendants for Air NZ were unpleasant and downright grumpy at times. It made a long, uncomfortable flight seem a whole lot longer."

Too bad a "child zone" area at the back of the plane couldn't be designated for the weary parents. Perhaps have certain rows just for families with small children where they don't have to be so worried about bothering other passengers. Maybe an area where babies could be "walked and rocked". Probably not feasible but just a thought for an airline that services the whole spectrum of age groups heading to Paradise."

Meanwhile as we boarded nearly every passenger had an overhead bag that most certainly weighed more than 15lbs. Not sure what was going on there...also the seats are a little tight when reclined. Once the seat in front of me reclined back I had my knees in the back of the chair the entire flight and I am not a particularly tall person- made for a pretty uncomfortable 15hrs."

They were not neatly dressed as compared to others Quantas crew members on other flights, before our meal was served they were eating rolls before serving us. Changing flights was a mess, getting your bags, going though customs, picking up bags and having to go so far in the airport to go check in again was disorganized. Food was not good, fish was fishy, worst meal in three weeks of traveling off and on plans in and out of AU."

Ventajas: "Boarding was quick on-time, and organized and we landed early in Sydney. We were lucky to have an extra economy seat for our 14 hour flight. Needless to say, we were comfortable throughout the entire time. The flight attendants were extremely friendly and happy. I loved how they closed the entire cabin down (windows closed and lights off) so that we could all sleep. All in all it was a very pleasant flight. We'll definitely fly Qantas again."
Desventajas: "The food was very average, but we don't count on good food in economy, so we weren't disappointed. My entertainment mechanism wasn't working correctly and I was unable to access TV or movies for most of the flight but it looked like everyone else was enjoying their entertainment."

Desventajas: "I showed up 1 hour and 20 minutes before my flight. An American agent told me I had to go to the kiosk. The kiosk told me I had to go to the counter. An American agent said I had plenty of time to check a bag, beingnup until 45 minutes before and would not help me. When I got to the counter, it was 1 hour before and they said I was too late to check my bag and since I had a bag, they would not give me a boarding pass. They were awful to me and so unhelpful. I will never use this airline or a sister airline again."

Ventajas: "The boarding was fine. The entertainment options were very good."
Desventajas: "The check-in desk didn't open until 2.5 hours before the flight. We had a long layover and waited forever to check in. No one was at the desk. The LA airport has no good food options before security and no good areas to wait. Awful experience. The food was also not good at all. Very tasteless."

Ventajas: "entertainment system was excellent, very up to date. broad selection of movies and TV shows, good selection of music as well."
Desventajas: "seats were abysmal for a 15hr flight. These are similar to the intolerable seats and spacing for domestic (US) flights on legacy carriers (although, American is now radically changing seat dimensions and comfort on the 737-800). For a 6hr flight, it is not tolerable. For a 15hr non-stop flight, it is punishing. The Quantas A380-200 is no longer a new plane. The seat hardware is tired, lumpy, stiff, back-breaking. This could be improved by more space per seat, but it is not. I am 6'3" (189cm) and not at all fat (75kg), but the amount of seating space was tight. Again, this is an inconvenience for a short flight, and absolutely punishing on a long, 15hr, flight. It was not a cheap flight, and surely some updated seats can be put in, with fewer rows. By contrast, I flew back to US on Air New Zealand, and was entirely comfortable on a 12hr leg on very modern and spacious seats in the lowest economy class seat, on a 777 plane for a much cheaper fare."

Desventajas: "After waiting more than 5 hours with boarding and disembarking twice before the plane left, the plane was old without any entertainment. There was no food and the drink options were limited. For a 5 hour flight, it was miserable!"

Ventajas: "It was the first time I have flown internationally and not gone through immigration when leaving the US. So was fast. The transfer on the bus was good."
Desventajas: "Qantas needs some better salty snacks to nibble on, those soy crackers are like cat food. The transfer on the bus was not well marked or communicated to passengers. we were lucky to stumble onto it"

Desventajas: "I was informed that I had a seat on the plane and when I got ready to board the plane I was informed that there was a problem with my ticket. I was call back out of the line and the booking agent was having a conversation with someone and said that I was in the standby list two times and did they want to allow me on the plane. Nevertheless, they made the decision to allow me to board the plane."

Ventajas: "I was able to pick a seat with no one next to me and gathered 2 blankets and 4 pillows and sleep pretty well. I also appreciated boarding back to front and departing on time! Woo! TV Screens were new and updated which was also nice."
Desventajas: "The movie selection was a lot of sad and intense dramas. A few more comedy's and light hearted films would have been preferable."

Ventajas: "They board back to front which saves a lot of hassle with overhead bags and such and keeps things moving. I appreciated that all the flight attendants spoke French and English and were very helpful when I needed anything. My flights to and from Tahiti were both smooth sailing. My flight back was a red eye and was quiet so I was able to sleep most of the way."
Desventajas: "Whoa. That food was TERRIBLE. I'm usually lenient with free airplane food but wow, I don't even know what some of it was. I my second meal looked like fish and turned out to be pork (I think?). They also only came around with the beverage cart once in the 8 hour flight (just before our first meal); I had to ring my call button to get water. The plane was pretty dated as well. I've seen worse but the screens were dated and all of the movies were fairly depressing. First, I'd suggest a couple more comedy's or rom-coms. Even a couple extra family friendly cartoons would be preferable to all the war/drama/dark options. Second, I'd suggest having the movies on demand rather than play one after another where passengers have to scroll through channels and keep catching movies part way through. A simple solution would be to have WiFi and streaming on flights which was also not available. This should be expected with international flight and would allow for on demand movies and music rather than the dated system currently in place."

Desventajas: "The attendants were cold. The hot entrees were bad; the rest of the food tray was good. Half the bathrooms were inoperable due to mechanical issues."

Ventajas: "Faa’A International Airport is NOT air conditioned and there can be long lines in the check-in counter for economy class. If you are flying Business Class, the VIP Lounge is a must. It is the only air conditioned room at the airport."

Ventajas: "Comfortable airline, good food, friendly service. I would take it again."
Desventajas: "I don't know if this is representative but we were late both ways (2 hrs and 1 hr). Differently from other airline I've used to do this trip they don't go and offer water during the flight. You can go to get some drinks yourself of course but this is not always easy when your neighbor is sleeping."

Ventajas: "The crew was pleasant enough."
Desventajas: "We waited in a shuttle for 30 minutes to be transported to the plane. We then had a three hour delay on the tarmac. Were not once offered water or refreshments during the 3-hour delay, and were only given two brief updates. During the 8 hour flight, refreshments were offered only twice. The food was ok - not terrible, not great. By the time they got to us (row 27), they didn’t have both meal options available. We took what we could get. And, all this after paying $1500 per person for our economy seats. I can fly LAX to Bali for 1/3 the price."

Desventajas: "The flight was delayed, the food wasn't good at all, because I was traveling with a cast on my left foot I asked for a front seat a week before my flight and when I asked at the counter at the airport they say that they wouldn't be able to give me a front seat, the lady at the counter wasn't nice at all, she didn't help and it felt that she wasn't trying to help me or to manege any other solution."

Desventajas: "We spent a long time on the tarmac at LAX. The explanation was that they were making sure everyone's bags got on board...which I felt was very odd. We left late, and arrived in Pape'ete 45 minutes late. Otherwise, the experience was excellent."

Ventajas: "Everything in our business class seats were wonderful. Loved to be able to elevate my legs. Watched movies, ate wonderful food creatively designed. Staff went above and beyond.No crying babies!"
Desventajas: "The beds did not lay flat to sleep, making it hard to sleep on your sides. Please convert them to lie totally flat like Singapore air or British airways. The champagne was a bit bitter. The only champagne I've ever liked was on Singapore airs business class to frankfurt, germany."

Ventajas: "My wife and I have planned a trip to Bora-Bora since we got married in the 80s. I had said that I would not make that long trip without a first class ticket and followed through with this our recent trip. Although the ticket was quite expensive, it was worth every penny. Air Tahiti Nui really understands what "First Class" should be like -they pamper you! They deliver course after course of amazingly good quality food and more drinks than you can possibly consume. All of the flight attendants were sincerely interested in making sure we were all happy...a wonderful experience! darn worth the investment! highly recommended! And remember, this is just the lead-up to arriving in Tahiti; things will only get better when you disembark."
Desventajas: "There were NO disappointments"

Ventajas: "My bag was destroyed, and I was told I had to check my back pack in which was BS n was charged $100 to check it in... getting in contact with customer service about the issue is impossible. The crews customer service was satisfactory, you can tell they don't want to be there. I will never fly them again."

Ventajas: "According to our reservation we had seat assignments (not marked seat requested) but when we checked in they assigned us seats in the back of the plane. When we showed theconfirmation and seat assignments they checked and said a family with children has priority so they gave our 2 seats to them. However when we got on the plane we saw that it was not a family but 2 separate individuals. Not sure why they got our seats but it obviously was not because of a child. Another flight with them several days earlier we also got our seats reassigned but the flight confirmation on that leg said seats requested so when they reassigned us we could justify the airline thought that request is different than assigned."

Ventajas: "No agent at gate. I was there 1hour and 15 minutes before the flight. No one was available to help me. Not even kayak!"

Ventajas: "Boarded on time. Good flight. The curry chicken was spicy, but good. Concerns on weight totals for luggage for checked (50 lbs) and carry-on bag (15 lbs). Never weighed either bag. Was prepared though just in case they did weigh, as we’d read about $150 overweight surcharge."

My husband even took a glass and held it for me while I was snuggled under the blanket. Kudos, crew!!"
Desventajas: "HA! For me to find something 'wrong' would be hard! Maybe the headphones didn't fit the head just right and couldn't hear equally well out of the speakers? Maybe a bit more leg room for my extra-tall husband?"

Desventajas: "I was not given a meal for dinner. When I asked they sheepishly looked away from me and told me that there would be a voucher when we landed. We did not get any voucher,nor did they make an announcement that they ran out of food and would not be able to feed half of the plane. I am extremely disappointed in how this was handled, as people next to me were given first class meals and I was given one piece of cheese and one cracker. In the morning for breakfast my meal almost didn't come, I had to ask for it. And when it was given to me it was already opened and messed with."

Desventajas: "My luggge didn't make the flight...I had to wait almost two days. And the airport is not close to where I was staying. No one offer to compensate for the inconvenience. We had to leave to another island so we was in a rush for our luggage."

Desventajas: "We get to LA for our connection and security says we need to check in again, and no one is at the fiji airways desk to check us in! The security guard sees this, lets us through to check in at the gate so we sprint there and 4 agents are standing around saying they are surprised we made it."
